Period 1

One period in, and we already have an exciting game on our hands as the teams have been really making the game interesting! An early penalty kill as Mikas Bieska gets caught out for the Whalers and hooks a Raider, but Halifax is unable to make them pay. The Raiders go on to regret it as midway through the period The stingray that Killed steve irwin scored his ninth of the season, giving Vancouver the lead, but it wouldn't last long as Indigo Trevino equalized only minutes later for the Raiders with his 13th goal of the season. Halifax then sees Moreau take a bad high stick a minute after the goal, but Vancouver can't convert.

Period 2

Another period down and now the Raiders hold a tentative one goal advantage heading into the final frame, but lets see how we got here. A closely contested period of hockey was broken open in the fifth minute as Bjornoson Bjornosonson scored his ninth goal of the season to give Halifax the lead. Vancouver didn't help their own cause as they committed two bad, lazy penalties in this period, but luckily for them Halifax couldn't make them pay.

Period 3
Goals:
4. Vancouver Whalers , Lligma Broomstick 4 (Marcus Ohlsson 8, Tiberius Maximus 5) at 7:52

Lucas Hellquist (HFX) for Hooking (Minor) at 17:47

The final period of regulation saw some action, but ultimately gets us to the most exciting part of hockey overtime! But first let's talk about the third period of action. The Whalers managed to take advantage of their shot advantage in the period as Lligma Broomstick scored his fourth goal of the season to tie the game early in the third period. That wasn't the end of the chances for the Whalers as Lucas Hellquist hooked a Whaler and gave them a powerplay late in the period, but Vancouver was unable to take advantage.
