I didn't side with Segi in the vote but I still think his argument made sense, kinda surprised to see so many people turning against him now and for some players to latch onto that almost immediately. Like, where is that sudden shift coming from mere hours after the village sided with him in the vote and gave him a significant majority?

The part that makes things difficult is not knowing if we took down a wolf. It's possible that Segi was right and cement was a wolf and muted is also a wolf. It's possible that cement was a towns person and Segi is a wolf trying to lessen the numbers. I guess we're in limbo until he returns to explain himself.

I mean, people wanted to know what some of the "lesser" roles were.  Not sure if that was a bait or not.

Those "people" were mostly me to be honest.

And I still think it's a decent approach, even though it carries some risk of course. So you claim Knight, if no one contests it then we have a good reason to believe you and treat you as a somewhat-confirmed villager. If someone does contest it then that gives us an interesting situation with multiple suspects and more information that we can build on. In the specific case of the Knight you also still have the safety option of the extra life to keep you alive. Now we shouldn't doe these reveals for too many roles because as you or someone else has said, it makes it too easy for the WWs to narrow down the more important roles, but as long as only say 2-3 people do it, we are fine. And we basically already have the Hunter and the Knight, so maybe that's all the role reveals we need for now, but a third one would probably still be fine.

I am currently assisting my spouse in cleaning our village home. The events of last night are most tragic, and dare I say in error on our part as villagers. However, not knowing of our collective actions were beneficial in the long run does indeed make everything we have done so far, suspect.

I will be curious to see what my fellow villagers gauge throughout the day and then too will weigh in my observations.

Also, one more thing that I thought about but forgot to post before: I've read a few times now that killing Gecko first night is considered somewhat meme-y around here. Can we deduce anything from the fact that it happened again in this game? Are people who are in on this meme somewhat more likely to be WWs because Gecko died first night, again or could it be somewhat of the opposite case, where someone is trying to frame that exact group? Probably not a very strong point either way, just wanted to leave it here if we ever gonna do a head count or sth along those lines.
