I feel that JayWhy's prediction about Buffalo missing the playoffs is rather misguided. While I get that other teams have been making moves to become more competitive this year and the new rules are coming into play, I don't see a reason why the Stampede should miss the playoffs.

Buffalo has been one of the most consistent playoff contenders in recent memory. Making the playoffs 7 years in the row and winning 2 challenge cups out of that run. It is a mark of consistency and excellence that few teams have seen in this league. While the argument can be made that some players are regressing and that will lead to declines, no reason is coming from the preseason to suggest that. In terms of points, Scoop has 8, Passamus has 7, Marius and Scarn have 6 and its all looked very good on that front for the Stampede. While the losing record is not what they would want in the preseason, only one of those was a bad loss (The 5-0 loss to New England), otherwise all their games have been competitive and lost by 1 or 2 goals. In a league like this, those kind of leagues are down to puck luck which can turn on a dime at any point. One also just needs to point to the 10-1 demolishing of the Texas Renegades to show that this team can still go the distance.

Some will disagree with this but in my mind, Buffalo are going to make it this year. Whether or not they do anything in the playoffs? To be determined
