PGS S53 Game 4 - Detroit vs Anchorage
#16

First Star
For this game first star was awarded to Mitchell van der Heidjen as the standout performer, van der Heidjen was responsible for Anchorage's first goal at 11:14. But the bigger factor leading to van der Heidjen taking this star was the fact that he put the puck into the back of the net off a slick deke on the second shot of overtime for the Armada. The moves of van der Heidjen should see him have major success throughout this season as he has the potential to be one of the leagues best and most consistent players, regularly carrying the load for the Armada.

Second Star
The second star award for this game was presented to JMac NCheese from the Falcons, the only player from Detroit to earn a star in this matchup. JMac NCheese is 50% of the reason that the Falcons held on in this game to take it to overtime and an eventual shootout, as he scored the final goal of regulation with less than three minutes to play. Without his effort, the Armada would have cruised to a 2-1 victory over a generally very impressive Falcons team. JMac has shown a lot of promise in this game that he will hope to carry through the rest of the season.

Third Star
In this game the third and final star was awarded to Ryan Cvitkovich of the Anchorage Armada. While Cvitkovich was unable to find the net himself, he still found himself helping out his team mates and earning himself a very important assist in a low scoring game. Though we all like to see goals on the stat sheets, they were at a premium in this defensively minded game so instead we find ourselves looking towards those who helped the play unfold and in this case that is Ryan Cvitkovich. An impressive showing for him and his team in this game.
