PS: You have asked the worst question for me since I have never even once looked at the SHL Casino, damnit XD. So all of what I'm going to say for this PT is more speculations and random thoughts.

SHL Casino looks like a make or break kind of thing, and maybe even a way to get a whole lot of money with just one roll of the dice. I can imagine that betting on black on teams you wouldn't exactly think would make runs (i.e Texas this very season since many though that Texas would still be considered a bottom-feeder team) would net you a huge sum of money, maybe enough to fund you player for the next few seasons. I should maybe give this a look and try since I am not exactly efficient with media and don't have that much in terms of income, but then again, you could lose jsut as much as you gain in a blink, so Idk.

I think i only participated in the first and maybe 2nd season of the casino but won on all my bets both times which was pretty nice. In future seasons i either forgot or was too broke to keep participating as i would be out of training money if i spent it all on the casino so that was nice. I enjoy the addition of the casino to SHL as another interesting way to make money in SHL, i'm sure its affected many people in bolstering their bank accounts. Another benefit of the casino I think is that if you bet it makes you care about and way more interested in other teams and their games as you're either cheering for them to lose or win based on how you be. With the switch to fhm however I think making good odds will be much harder compared to the randomness of STHS.

for the SHL casino I have many ties to it. I first started when Mike Izzy came to me with over, unders on each team and asked me to tweak it so it could be the odds. I thought the casino was a great idea, it highlighted when the league is about. its about having fun and betting some SHL Money in order to gain more back. Then infidel took over and I helped him with the spreadsheet side of it, tracking the overall winners, the overall losers and it was great. The game was great, as there was a lot of winners. Infidel tried his best to get the people to lose money and he did for 2 seasons before he stepped down. I continued to bet with a lot of fun, and its hard because he did such a great job. With the casino there comes a lot more improvements to it that I would love to see implemented.

I believe the casino is great for the league. Everyone that participates seems to enjoy it and comes back every year to play again in the new season. I myself have only participated in the SMJHL Pick’em but would like to one season compete in the casino for the SHL. Only reason I haven't is because I have not had the income to participate, mainly because I need ti for training during the season. For now, I will stick with the SMJHL Pick'em because I can afford it and my luck is not that great. I will state again that my luck is not good and that's why I won't gamble in real life but I definitely have the urge to gamble for sure. Every season so far that I have been in I have wanted to take most of the bets, but I believe that I will get to enjoy throwing down fat stacks with everyone else soon enough!

I think Casino has been a great addition to the league. Whether you win big or lose big, the risk is always on the person making the bet. Nobody is forcing anyone to play the game, so if you lose, you can only blame yourself. I mean, it's fake money betting on a fake sim league, so where is the negative? The betting is fun, because it keeps members active and paying attention to whatever sim applies to their bet. It puts a lot more focus on specific sims for specific users. A lot of the time, there's not so much focus on individual sims, and more so on the big league events. The Casino is a nice way for newer players to get a boost in player store money, and avoid some of the grinding.....if they win of course. Something I definitely should have bet on is Mikael Choybuk doing as well as he did last season. I think he scored more goals and got more points than most people thought.

I've only done the casino this and last season, but overall I think it's been a net positive. It's pretty high-risk high-reward, but it's a solid option for people to make a little extra money if they can afford to take the possible loss. FHM, in my opinion, has made it easier to make bets, as it's a lot more consistent to decide which teams to bet on, as opposed to STHS where it was more luck-based. Last season I went low on Texas and succeeded, but also wasn't optimistic enough on Buffalo and got screwed by New England dropping out in the second round, meaning I only broke even. This season I think I've got a more consistent strategy. I'd say my biggest regret pick was Buffalo last season; I keyed too much on what I saw as a deficiency in net with Cedric Robinson, but underestimated how much team support helped them to get the Over after I took the under.

I think the casino has done wonders in keeping members engaged in the sim. Along with fantasy, it's made many players follow games that don't even include their own teams. It is a wonderful driver of activity and the odds are also a nice driver of discussion early in the season. Who's the best team to bet on? Which team has been horribly misjudged by Grum? Do you believe in your own team enough to bet the over? I definitely didn't believe in NEW enough to bet the over, and I'm glad I didn't. On the other hand, ml needs to stop winning so many games so I can win my parlay on the TOR under. My other bets have been looking good so far -- TBB under is looking like a home run and HAM over is still somewhat likely. It's just that toronto needs to stop getting their shit together and tank for a top pick in this draft. How else is their rebuild going to finish?

I haven't really done anything with the Casino here, mainly because I do not have a ton of money and my momma taught me that gambling is not a good thing. I guess if I would have made some bets this year, I probably would have taken the Toronto over and the Tampa Bay under. Toronto keeps getting better from season to season, and I feel like they are going to make a big jump in the standings soon. As for Tampa, they have just been terrible, and I really don't know if that is going to change or not within the next few seasons, or even in the forseeable future. I guess I probably would have done something like take New England with the over as my third pick, but I haven't been keeping super up to date track of that so I'm not really sure how I would be doing there.

I haven't yet made a bet with the casino, i almost did at the start of the season, but my bank account wasn't quite at the level where i wanted to lose some money
So i dont have any current bets to use, but i did have a suggestion that i proposed as part of my application as the Casino assistant, which i didnt end up getting
the Idea around it was trying to get more newer people involved with the casino, because as we are just starting, we need every amount of money we can get, although some of the people who have joined after me have gone crazy with the media and have much bigger bank accounts that any of the S52 new creates and me.
But anyways, the idea was to give new creates a fake amount of money that they could use to bet on game, series, and overall winners, to get a taste of what it was like to use the SHL casino. and maybe at the end of the season, a few rookies who ended with the largest "fake" bank account at the end would either be able to keep that money or at least a part of it.

Now that i have been in the league a little longer i see how this may be more hassle than its worth, but maybe if we ever got a more automated casino it could be an interesting idea to come back to

I was “in-between” players when the Casino came to be. Never really have ventured into it since my recreate Kaspertommevisnapuu has started. So for me it is hard to say what is in there that I like or do not like. Also not really sure what I would like to see added. As I have not used the Casino, it has neither affected me positively or negatively.

As for its impact on the league, I am not really sure. I am nowhere near as active with my recreate as I was with my first player. So I rarely ever read the forums anymore. I have only seen people talk about it on Discord on the very rare occasion, but they do seem to enjoy it. They seem to like the risk/reward style of possibly losing a lot or more importantly winning a lot.

You can see that the Casino doesn’t affect me currently, and probably not in the near future. It seems to be more of a rich man’s game, as of which, I am not one. If I ever do become more active, near the level of Szlerchek, and I have a big enough bankroll, I met consider it.

I think that the casino has contributed a lot to the league. It adds another fun part to the experience of the league, even though I'm not really good at it. I always win half of my bets and lose the other, so I end up winning nothing, but also losing nothing, so I guess I at least don't lose money over it like some people do. I also did Grum's SMJHL pickem challenge, because he asked me to nicely and it's only like 200k. I never win that though because it's impossible. This season, I did the Toronto lower bet thinking they would be as bad as last year, but turns out they weren't that bad. I totally should have went with Tampa lower instead, they were the worst team this season. As for what I would like to see implemented in the casino, I would like something to bet on during the playoffs, I think it would be cool to bet on outcomes of series.
