The State of the Union Address is an effort to maximize transparency between the SMJHL HO and the public.

It’s been awhile since I have done a SOTU Address. So here we are.
Since the last time, we’ve had a rather successful transition to a new sim engine. SMJHL HO also released an updated rulebook with much needed changes.

Let’s start by doing a HO sneak peak.

These are the active topics in SMHL HO as of July 15th, nothing too exciting but I’ll run through them.

#interns-office
This is just where the interns talk and do their business. Simple enough.

#expansion-time
I will confirm the rumors to be true, expansion is confirmed. This is where we have been ironing out details. This is taking up most of our time.

#roster-upkeep
HO has kept track of rosters for many seasons now on one google sheet. Helps to see the health of the league to prepare for expansion at a proper time.

#job-description-rewrite
This started as a personal project that I put in HO for others to help if they’ve had time. I have had some help from @CementHands so far. Some may know that hidden in this site is a list of jobs, who has them, and a description. This post is severely out dated to the point it is missing many jobs. It is slow but we are making steady progress.

#ho-app-questions
This is a newer topic. I felt the HO applications are outdated and would like to rewrite them.

Final Remarks
There isn’t much to explain right now. I have been working hard in my tenure to have transparency among SMJHL HO and I hope We are achieving that.
