Hallå allesammans! Me and @roastpuff are really happy to announce this years Team Sweden starting line-up. If you want to see the roster that has already been announced here.
There are two changes to the line-up since then. Bjorno is out, and Brandt Underton has joined the team on loan from Team USA. Another change is that rookie winger (@sedinery ) Supun Buddhadasa will be a late addition to the team to fill out that 4th line.
And without any further comments, småkronornas starting line-up:
We will also take this opportunity to announce our captains for this years team. We'll be starting with the assistant captains.
Emilia Bergman, D, Anaheim Outlaws @Renomitsu
The Anaheim Outlaws sophmore will be pulling on the shirt with nr. 44 and an A on the chest. Already established on the top pairing for the team as she goes chasing the 4-star cup. A S54 draftee that will be a key player that truly showcases the depth of the defence that Sweden has for the tournament.
Sven Svenson, LW, Colorado Raptors @LordBirdman
The leading offensive threat on the Colorado Raptors this season, he will look to keep the form up and become an offensive leader for this WJC squad. He will be doing this rocking an A on his shirt. His 38 points was 2nd best among Swedes in the SMJHL this season behind line-mate Rikard Hammerberg
And for our captain, a man who shouldn't need any introduction...
Sven Yxskaft, D, Carolina Kraken @kenvald
He will serve his 2nd straight year as a captain, looking to revenge the silver medal from last season. The former Whalers captain got trade mid season to the finalists Carolina Kraken who are facing Anaheim in the final. Sven is one of the leading defensive players in the league and one of its most respected leaders. He is our leader, he is our captain. And we will follow him for as long as the King tells us to.
And that's our line-up including our captains! The goal is to take another step from last years performance - All the way to the gold medal. NU KÖR VI!
