When it comes to the trades themselves I wanted to ensure that the players on the roster were sent to advantageous positions. They didn’t ask for this to happen, they didn’t do anything wrong, and they shouldn’t be punished for it. In specific cases I asked the players directly which teams they would like to go to to accommodate their needs. In all cases where trades were made I was fielding multiple offers from different teams and chose the one that provided the most value to the future of the team.

Reading comprehension not your thing, bud?
Could ask you the same, read the last sentence you quoted there mate

Try GMing yourself, hell stepping into a situation like Dilk had to, and tell me that it would be easy to find good value for trading players now when some teams hold a monopoly over picks. And maybe don't complain about his moves if you've never held a GM role and think you can do better. If you can, apply and try your best with what the Pride have if you even get the job. (Also your word on the street is wrong as any sane GM would want 1sts for assets like the ones given up tonight)
I've been a GM, I know how this works.

Are you implying that he took a worse deal on purpose when 1sts were an option on the table for him instead? What a really weird unfounded claim to throw out like that as if its fact.

SFP were in a position of no leverage for these trades, 1sts were never gonna happen.

Are you... actually the dumbest boy alive?

Or does this mean something different in whatever McDonald's grease trap you crawled out of?

All I’m going to say is all these GMs saying he was ripped off, why didn’t you offer more then?

Id assume these players were on the block, you coulda offered more but didn’t.

Shrug.

Roster spots, cap space... Probably a lot of reasons. You're allowed to have the opinion that they made a bad trade without needing to go out yourself and beat it to be able to make an argument at some later date.

While I do understand the lack of leverage here, the fact remains that you only got one sure-thing prospect in Darzins for trading away three players over 1400 TPE, and other than the S57 NEW 2nd there’s a chance that none of the picks received will be in the top 20, so unless they’re packaged to move up into the first round I hope you or whoever succeeds you as GM has a good scouting plan.

That’s what I mean tho, just because teams have 1st doesn’t mean those teams have space like you mentioned. So it’s hard to make a better trade if those teams aren’t offering.

Could there have been a better return? Yeah of course. Sometimes those offers don’t come though. So the balance of holding onto a player and getting a shitty return vs them leaving in free agency.

Whats done is done, ultimately they got past HO aswell.

I think it was a near impossible situation to begin with, do I think the returns are bad? Yeah, I do. But the primary buyers bought over a week ago, and SFP is trying to sell players to teams that never had any intentions to really buy in the first place. I think it's really just a case of bad timing, and if he truly thought these players had a good chance of walking come this offseason isn't this a better return than a big kick in the nuts?

Regardless of value, it’s bold of you to make such seismic changes as an interim gm
