Explosion is inactive per the rules, so automatic re-sign. Bilbo and maj are logical people that have held positions in this league and understand that some things take time to get something fair, you can talk and explain to them the situation.

This screams to me that you wanted to get it done quick so it was finished, more than just wanting to do the right thing. I don't doubt you thought you were doing the right thing, but patience is a virtue and ultimately was an option. Even them on expiring deals, we haven't even started the season, you had at minimum a month, likely around 2, to pressure the other GMs to come to a middle ground.

Here you are standing your ground, I know you can do it, I know you're smart, I know you're tough. So stand your ground in private also, and do what's right for the team even if it takes an extra day, extra week, anything it takes.

Yup, said it more concisely than I did. Nothing needed to be done ASAP

First, this happens

Galatix named as interim
POR faced a mass-retirement, and thus the team was gutted
Galatix made some moves quickly to rebuild:

Summed up here:

Galatix would step down shortly after, after a lot of toxicity from the community

Arty those were both the trades I vetoed because of the value that Portland wasn't getting before my role was ended that she was hastily pushing through. The actual trades happened through Grape once he took over, minus the POR/SEA one:

What?

Deae Cuzo,

I would call you a cro but you are far from one, but that's not the point mans here are trying to make. So according to my calculations, Hunter Hearst Helmsley 81 here is calling you out for the following comment:

"Or does this mean something different in whatever McDonald's grease trap you crawled out of?"

Now mans here ain't the smartest cro on the SHL, but I personally believe the mandem is trying to tell you my waste yute that this comment by you don't breeze you get me?

In the eyes of the cro himself, this comment makes you look like a bean no cap and I think bare crodies would agree with me. Mans don't llow that round here cuzo. I would personally suggest for you to nize it, but that's just me.

From the cro himself, JSS.

Very apt to compare this to Portland. Hopefully people realize that anything towards Daft that needs to be said regarding the trades has already been said and other don't feel the need to pile on against them. Cause that's how we avoid a full Portland situation.

Lots of excuses for hastily ruining a franchise already in a dire spot. Even though the market is flooded there's better value out there, only had to play a little hardball

I'll take a shot. @JSS I might need some clarification on some of it.

I'd call you a bro, but you aren't one. That's not the point though. Hhh81 is calling you out for your comment

"Or does this mean something different in whatever McDonald's grease trap you crawled out of?"

I may not be the smartest guy in here, but what he's saying.. I'm not even sure about the my waste yute thing... Is that comment doesn't fly.

In my eyes, this comment makes you look like an idiot and I think others would agree. People don't act like that around here. I'd personally suggest you to quit/edit/nice (pick one) it, but that's just me

I gotta say, after seeing those trades i was ready to Join the rest of the League and jump on you and HO completely for doing/allowing this. But this thread has given me a bit more context and made your reasoning and the decisions you made a bit more understandable, so thats a good thing.

However, the value that SFP got out of this is still bad. How much of this is due to the bad Position that you got put into and the lack of leverage you had, and how much is experienced GMs taking advantage of a new GM who didnt have either the skill or the confidence to be assertive is something that i cant really judge from the outside and without knowing the conversations that went on.

I have to agree with those in here though who think this was rushed and that SFP didnt negotiate long and hard enough (or simply waited for the GM hiring). And I certainly hope that there werent better value offers out there that you decided not to take because that Team wasnt the players preferred destination...

I shouldn't jump into this but I think it's junk that people are critizing a GM for trading players to teams that they wanted to be drafted too. Yes, he could've played hardball. Yes, he could've gotten more for the trades but if those offers weren't from the teams the players wanted to go then those trades are meaningless.

It's way better to have a couple unhappy players on a bad franchise then several unhappy players spread throughout the league on teams that they don't want to be apart of.

If players want out, they want out. Holding them hostage is pointless pettiness.
