Hello and welcome to the season 55 SHL awards show!

First I would like to say congratulations to the Challenge Cup champion Buffalo Stampede. Buffalo was dominant this season and the team awards show it. Not only did Buffalo win the Challenge Cup but they are also taking home the Mathias Chouinard trophy for being the Eastern Conference champion as well as the President's trophy after posting a 40-10-0 record to narrowly edge out the Edmonton Blizzard.

Also wanted to quickly congratulate the New Orleans Spectors for taking home the Cole Reinhart Trophy for winning the Western Conference!

First we will start with the Ryan Jesster!

First I would like to congratulate Theo Morgan on taking home this season's Jay McDonald trophy. Morgan posted an impressive 37 goals with the Edmonton Blizzard. Congrats @Otrebor13

Now for the Ryan Jesster award. The Jesster is awarded to the top rookie. Last year saw Elizabeth Doyle take home the award before also taking home the John McBride for best goalie. Here are the nominees:

Frans Eller of the New England Wolfpack came in and took the reins as the starter for what looked to be a bottom feeder. He came in and posted a 23-15-6 with a 928% and 3 shutouts to earn a nomination.

Cal Labovitch looks to be the future first line right wing on the now Minnesota Monarchs. He posted 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points for a Monarchs team that caused some problems.

Third is Magnus Lilijestrom of the Winnipeg Jets. Lilijestrom came in and showed his puck moving skills on the back-end to almost steal top rookie scorer from Labovitch after posting 3 goals and 25 points for the Jets.

Next we will be giving away the Bojo Biscuit!

Next we have the Bojo Biscuit award. The Bojo Biscuit was first awarded in S46 and is for the best defensive defensemen. Last season Leopold Lockhart took home the award before being moved from the San Francisco Pride to the Calgary Dragons in a blockbuster trade. The nominees for the award are:

Perennial Stevens candidate Brennan Kennedy Jr is our first nomination. Kennedy Jr was once again the general on the Dragons blue line. Though his offence was down a little this season, he still put up a SA/60 of 23.3, a 60.2 CF% and 109 shot blocks.

Second we have Karlstrasse Scholz. Later Scholz will be up for the Stevens but for now we will be focusing on his defensive output. 53 shot blocks combined with a SF/60 of 46.8 versus SA/60 of 21.5 plus a 68.7% CF% land him a nomination.

Third we have Alexander Selich of the Buffalo Stampede. A member of an absolutely dominate Buffalo defence that could have had 3 nominations, Selich was the best of the bunch. 45 shot blocks, a SF/60 of 47.1 versus a SA/60 of 20.6 and a 70.2 CF% are the reasons he's up.

And the winner is Alexander Selich! Selich took the award after a tiebreaker vote with Brennan Kennedy Jr. Congrats to @Tomen on the close win!

Next up is the Joe McKeil.

Before we award the McKeil, I would like to congratulate Ti-Guy Emond of the Minnesota Monarchs on taking home the Turd Ferguson for most PIMs. Congrats @gaby on the win!

Now onto the McKeil. The Joe McKeil award is awarded to the best coach in the SHL. Last season saw the team of Tomen and jfisherr take home the award after another impressive season for the Stampede. The nominees are:

Buffalo's duo of Tomen and jfisherr are once again nominated this season. The duo as previously mentioned coached their way to a 40-10-0 record to get them this nomination while helping their players put up some absolute dominate seasons.

The Manhattan Rage's duo of Juke, Inf1d3l and 39alaska39 are your second nominees. The trio finished second in the East but rattled off an insane mid season points streak of over 25 games to contend with Buffalo for the President's trophy.

Our final nominees are the Texas duo of Dankoa and puolivalmiste. The Renegades finished 4th in the West but more importantly they were able to finally make the playoffs after an 8 season streak of missing.

Quick congratulations to Elizabeth Doyle of the Buffalo Stampede for taking home the Mike Honcho award for lowest goals against! Congrats @Evok.

Now for the John McBride award. The McBride is given every season to the best goaltender in the SHL. This season is a bit unique as the committee voted and ended up with 4 different nominees. Now, the nominees are!

Elizabeth Doyle of the Buffalo Stampede. Last season's award winner came in and posted another strong season. A 34-10-0 record with a 916% and 5 shutouts for the President trophy winners.

Frans Eller of the New England Wolfpack is fresh off a Ryan Jesster win and is now up for the McBride. Much like we previously mentioned he tried to will his team to the playoffs with an impressive .928% to take home a nomination.

Third is Peter Larson of the Manhattan Rage. Larson was a rock once again for the Rage posting a 30-9-3 record with a .917% and an impressive 7 shutouts.

Last but not least is Emiko Spector of the Edmonton Blizzard! Spector helped the Blizzard almost steal a President's trophy win from the Stampede with a huge 33-8-2 record with a .913% and 7 shutouts.

The Aiden Richan is awarded to the most improved player from season to season. Last season's winner was Martjin Westbroek of the Chicago Syndicate, who improved by 42 points. This season's nominees are:

Elijah Jones of the Los Angeles Panthers went from 24 points in S54 to 47 points in S55, good for a 23 point increase.

Bo Kane of the Edmonton Blizzard went from 34 points in S54 to 67 points in S55, good for a 33 point increase.

Jimmy Slothface of the New Orleans Spectors went from 45 points in S54 to 64 points in S55, good for a 21 point increase.

The Jeff Dar award is awarded to the best two-way forward in the SHL. This award looks at players who are excellent at both ends of the ice, encompassing both offensive and defensive play. Last year saw Andreas Kvalheim take home the award. Your nominees are:

Andreas Kvalheim of the Texas Renegades is looking for a repeat this season. He had another incredible season at both ends of the ice. He put up 60 points, including 21 goals, 103 hits as well as a 55.8 CF% for the Renegades.

Hippo Passamus of the Buffalo Stampede is our second nominee. Passamus put up 56 points, 141 hits with a SA/60 of 21.4 and a CF% of 68.4 for the Stampede.

Our last nominee is Tony Pepperoni of the Edmonton Blizzard. Pepperoni put up 69 points, the most of any nominee, 110 hits with a SA/60 of 23.2 and a 64.7 CF% with the Blizzard.
