Game 35: Detroit Falcons vs. Nevada Battleborn

The Detroit Falcons are FLYING even higher, on a three game winning streak, they are a team people need to pay attention too because they are red hot as of late. The SKREEE boys are just playing exceptional hockey in the last 5 games. They have won four out of five games during that stretch. We cane see this team really starting to put pieces together and turning a lot of heads while doing it. During the three game winning streak we been playing fantastic defense. The defensemen are really working hard to make these games go as smoothly as possible by being there for the offense to shoot the puck when needed, as well as having good protection in their zone. Thor has not had to work as hard in these games because the defense is working hard to keep the puck out of Thor’s area. The offense has been The offense has been scoring the puck with ease, being there every time we have a chance to get a goal. We actually are putting up a lot more shots on goal each game, we are creating more chances with the team getting shots on goal and resulting in some put backs or even a redirection. So when we make more chances our team can actually put the puck in the net. Detroit Falcons have battled the Nevada Battleborn a few times this season. In games 6 and 8. Detroit have lost both games, the first game was 4 to 1. Detroit was on a four game losing streak and they could not score to save their lives. It was rough go at it for them. They lost the secondl game 5 to 2. They scored one more goal than the last time they played. Detroit Falcons offense is making noise. I said a few games back that we would rattle a few wins off in the future and here we are, we have three wins in a row. We are going for a fourth against Nevada Battleborn. Detroit starting the game up 1 to 0. Yngve Simonsson has an opening middle of the ice...And he shoots! Phillip Weaver beat by Yngve Simonsson, goal! The goal 25 seconds into the game to bring Detroit to a 1 to 0 lead. Nevada would tie it up later on and then Detroit would take the lead back around the 11 minute mark. Anna Maier with a bad-angle shot at the side of the net. Phillip Weaver reads the play and makes the stop. Anna Maier controls the rebound. The rebound... Anna Maier shoots! It eludes Phillip Weaver! Goal for Anna Maier! Detroit goes up 2 to 1 at the end of the first period. Detroit has been scoring the their goals a lot in the first period in the last 5 games. Detroit would score three more goals in the second and so would Nevada Battleborn would score three as well to make the score 5-4 going into the third period. There was a goal, which was a great one to watch and it was from Sammy Blaze. A sharp pass intended for Evangelos Giannopoulos. He relays the puck to Yngve Simonsson. He moves it on for Sammy Blaze. Sammy Blaze can't find any open players, he throws it on goal! Detroit would go into the third period and score 11 seconds into the period. Taisto Jutila gets his stick on the pass and directs it on goal. Save made by Phillip Weaver. Taisto Jutila jumps on the rebound. And then the rebound bounces to Taisto Jutila, he shoots! Taisto Jutila puts home the loose puck! Detroit Falcons would go end up winning 6 to 5. They are now on a four game winning streak. The Detroit Falcons now have nine wins, so close to ten wins! They will hopefully do that next game against Newfoundland Berserkers! Go Falcons!!! SKREEE!!!
