Game Recap Detroit Falcons S56
#1

Game 33: Detroit Falcons vs. St. Louis Scarecrows

Detroit Falcons hockey is starting to look scary. Coming off a MASSIVE WIN against the defending champions of the FOUR STAR CUP... the Newfoundland Berserkers. We won that game 4 to 0. The team was perfect that night. Thor deserved the first star, there was nobody even close to getting that first star. I have been so happy see this Detroit Falcons team playing so well as of late! We have seen improvement on both sides of the puck. The defense is just going crazy and having some great games, scoring the puck and getting the puck out of zone and giving our amazing goalie Thor a much needed break from getting hit with pucks all game. The offender is actually scoring goals. We have been putting the puck in the net, as well as getting more shots on goal as well. We are just playing overall way better hockey. We have played the St. Louis Scarecrows this season well. We have played in games 1, 9, 27, 28, and game 30. The Detroit Falcons are 2 and 3 against the St. Louis Scarecrows this season. We have won the last two meetings. They have had our number for the first three times we played, but we have been keeping them in check for the last two games. We won Game 28, 6 to 3. My player Zakkira Diporov got a first star nod. In Game 30 we won as well, the score was 3 to 1. Zakkira Diporov was the fist star in that game as well. The game is different when you are playing your rivals and you have to win! You win at all costs, a lot of hitting and late hits happening in the games. These players on both teams want to win 10 to 0 every time they play each other. Detroit Falcons came into this game with a two game winning streak against the St. Louis Scarecrows so they wanted to even the series at three. Detroit started this game out hot, they shooting the puck but could not put it into the back of the net. The Scarecrows took the 1 to 0 lead ten minutes into the first period, but Detroit answered back with less than two minutes left in the first period. Elwulf Jericson crunches Yngve Simonsson into the glass. Yngve Simonsson muscles out Pavel Kharlamov for the puck. Yngve Simonsson flips a pass over to Jonathan Granström and then Jonathan Granström with the quick shot! Nicolae Antonescu got a piece, but not enough, goal for Jonathan Granström! Detroit Falcons tie the game up 1 to 1! They were a lot of penalties in the first period. Some roughing, tripping, and interference calls. A lot of players get into little scuffles. That is what a rivalry is! Smash mouth hockey! Detroit would take the lead in the second period. When a Detroit defenseman would score to take the lead five minutes into the second period. Taisto Jutila and Pavel Kharlamov race for the puck. Taisto Jutila comes up with it. Tapped over to Wen Baters in traffic. Wen Baters with the shot from the top of the circle. It eludes Nicolae Antonescu! Goal for Wen Baters! BOOM! Our defensemen scored to take the lead 2 to 1!! But St. Louis scored again to tie it up and make it 2 to 2 going into the third period. Detroit did not let up the gas they were playing so hard they deserved to win this game! And then this happened. The loose puck is corralled by Taisto Jutila for Detroit. Taisto Jutila has space behind the goal... With a quick move he tries the wrap-around. The puck is deflected by Yngve Simonsson. It beats him, Yngve Simonsson with the goal! The Detroit Falcons take the lead 3 to 2. They scored with seven minutes left in the game, and they kept the lead all the way through! Detroit defeated St. Louis 3 to 2. To keep the WINNING STREAK ALIVE!!! First time of the year to have a WINNING STREAK!!! Detroit’s record IMPROVES to 8-23-3. BOOM!!! Detroit will head back home to face the Anaheim Outlaws. Go FALCONS!!!! SKREE!!!!!

Game 34: Detroit Falcons vs. Anaheim Outlaws

Detroit is FLYING HIGH! On a massive two game winning streak, and they come back home to face off a hot Anaheim Outlaws team who have been dominating the other  teams as of late. Detroit Falcons locker room is hyped after this massive improvement and massive win against their arch rivals the St. Louis Scarecrows. Now.. they have played Anaheim Outlaws in game 2, 13, and this game right here. Detroit are 1 and 1 against Anaheim, if you remember Detroit got their first win of the season against Anaheim. They won that game, 4 to 3. They played really good. But this was before we knew what this team was like. It was a brand new team, so we did not know what to expect from them. Now looking back on it, people will say we stole a win from them. Because they think we have a lot of loses and we are really bad. But that isn’t the case we have been showing signs of life, even during the games we got blown out by four or five goals. But this two game winning steak has been turning heads, maybe thinking we are the real deal and we are still improving and working day in day out to get some more wins under our belts. Detroit Falcons is a team not to sleep on. They can go toe for toe with you and your team. They did that against this Anaheim Outlaws team tonight, they had to keep up with this scoring team. If you make mistakes Anaheim will make you pay. They are just that good. But Detroit this game saw them as just any other team, they would go goal for with them if necessary. Detroit did just that in this game. Anaheim scored quickly in this game, a minute into the game. But Detroit tied it up quickly after that. Sammy Blaze gets on the loose puck. Sammy Blaze skates down the middle. Sammy Blaze moves in on goal and shoots. Sammy Blaze puts it in! Detroit would score again. One minute later. Shot from the circle by Jonathan Granström. Vincent Mietitore too slow, Jonathan Granström scores! Detroit has a 2 to 1 lead, but 4 minutes later Anaheim tied it up. Four goals in the span of 8 minutes to start this game so far. Detroit answered back at the nine minute mark of the first period. Cenek Iqbal picks up the errant pass for Detroit. He moves it on for Taisto Jutila. And then Taisto Jutila with a blast. And it's in the net! Taisto Jutila scores! Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while! Detroit take a 3 to 2 lead go be cut short only 39 seconds later Anaheim score to tie it up. Zakkira Diporov finally takes the lead back only a minute and half later. Yngve Simonsson passes it to Evangelos Giannopoulos, in the high slot. Evangelos Giannopoulos in the high slot and shoots! Zakkira Diporov with a deflection in front of the goal. It gets by Vincent Mietitore - that's a goal for Zakkira Diporov! A few games ago I talked about more shots we need from our defensemen to get a shoot on net and hope for a deflection and boom Zakkira does it for the Detroit Falcons. Taking the lead 4 to 3 and ending the seven goal first period. Detroit would go on to win this game 7 to 6!!! Detroit had an answer for the high powering Anaheim offense. Detroit scored and then Anaheim would answer back, then other other way around. It was just a massive offense kinda of game. Unfortunately Thor has to take 30 plus shots at him, but we got the win! We are a three game winning streak!! Detroit’s record improves to 9-23-3!!! So close to ten wins, we will try to get that in the next game and extend our WIN streak to four games. Go Falcons!!! SKREEE!!!
