It was just another day in s 50 you know your typical game 7 of the finals. This game 7 however was diffrent flacko lagerfield and Benjamin blue had led a Cinderella story of a team to the cusp of there first cup in the city of tampa. Another point to highlight is tampa had blown a 3 games to 0 lead, tampa was definatly playing a little worried as this would be a collosel meltdown of epic proportians. In the end they lost not only the game but also the series 4-3 and so sent tampa into a new direction in the future. While s 51 still brought Tampa a playoff birth the team was much worse then they had been the past season, flacko while still a star was entering regression and stepped down from managment and was soon to be shipped to hamilton the most recent cup winner in s51. After many seasons with tampa and an mvp award as well as being one win away from hoisting the cup flacko while upset he couldent get that cup was ready for a fresh start with a team truly built to utilize the offensive studs unique abilitys. Hamilton after the acquisition of lagerfield would see themselves prepared for multiple cup runs and tampa would soon see many seasons laying at the bottom of the league. S52 for flack in hamilton with the defending champs went very well but nothing like the next two seasons would, while lagerfield put up respectable numbers in S52 with 26 goals and 25 assists putting him at second on the team in scoring. Hamilton also finished 1st in the league but it was the Manhattan rage that would capture the cup that year. S53 would deliver not only a scoring title to flack [ the second of his career] but also that elusive cup he had been chasing for now at least 10 years. Flacko this season put up a career best 71 points and wasnt showing any signs of aging if anything he was reborn in hamilton playing g with a supporting cast of stars such as aaron wilson Robert Phelps and many others who have turned hamilton into a truly elite prestige heavey organization. S54 FOR flacko would be bittersweet, for one thing he challenged the scoring record and almost bested it posting an astonishing 84 points 4 short of the shl record set many seasons ago. Most thought this record would never be approached again but the flying hamilton offencse led by flacko put it under serious threat this season. With 42 goals flacko and hamilton looked unbeatable, outside of buffalo in the east many suspected they had no challenge on there way to a 3rd cup in 4 years and once they beat the stampede most pundits assumed they'd sweep the ussually under performing new Orleans teams. However this series went sideways on the hawks fast as NOLA dominated en route to a sweep. While since this season hamilton remains a top tier team and competes non stop for cups the barracuda have suffered for long time now with what many call the flacko curse. Since the trade tampa has been mired in the biggest rebuild we have seen in Shl history and even suffered an 0-50-0 season in S54 [ thanks trella] but hope is on the horozion and only time will tell if the barracuda can over come the lagerfield curse.
