Carolina Kraken vs. the Eastern Conference

As of October 24th, the Carolina Kraken lead the Eastern Conference, with 47 games played their scoreline stands at 30-16-1, giving them respectful .649 win percentage and 61 points.  Theyve scored 151 goals and have had 129 goals scored against them, difference being +22 in their favor. This deep dive focuses on their performance against other teams in the eastern conference.

First up, against the Newfoundland Berserkers. Currently, Newfoundland is the only nuisance for Carolina. In their 4 appearances so far, Berserkers have won 3 out of 4 match-ups, Carolina only managing to beat them halfway through the season. Theyve managed to score 10 goals against them while having scored on 16 times by Berserkers, respectfully having -6 difference against them. Newfoundland along with Carolina are candidates for winning the eastern conference.
Maine Timber is next. So far, in their 4 appearances against Carolina Kraken, theyve lost all 4 match-ups throughout the season. Carolina have outscored Maine 18-8, giving them great +10 differential against woodcutters from up north. Maine stands in third position in the conference 12 points behind Carolina.
Quebec City Citadelles are one of the two teams that have outscored Carolina Kraken so far. In their 3 appearances against each other, Carolina have won 2 out of 3, with .66 success rate. Despite having positive winrate, goals are in favor of Quebec City (11-10) with Carolina having -1 differential against the Citadelles. First two games against each other have been thrillers with both teams having the chance of winning, unlike the third one which ended up in Quebec City victory 6-3. Quebec City Citadelles stand in fourth position in the conference, 3 points behind Maine Timber, and 15 points behind conference leaders Carolina Kraken.
St. Louis Scarecrows have had second most games against the Carolina Kraken, with 6 appearances. In these 6 games so far, Carolina have come out on top 5 times, having .833 success rate respectfully. Carolina have also outscored the Scarecrows 23-15, giving them +8 differential against the St. Louis squad. Scarecrows are second to last in the conference 24points behind Carolina.
Last but not least, Detroit Falcons are the ones who have had the most against the Carolina Kraken. In their 8 appearances so far the Kraken have won all 8 out of 8, leaving Detroit Falcons emptyhanded every time. In these 8 games so far Carolina have scored whopping 31 goals against Detroit’s 11. +20 difference nothing more than expected between the first place team and the last place team, who have both scored the most amount of goals and the least amount of goals in the eastern conference.

All in all, so far the Carolina Kraken have faced teams from the eastern conference 26 times this season, winning 20 games out of those 26, giving them respectful .769 win rate across the conference. They have scored 92 goals across those teams, and have had 61 goals score on them, with goal differential being +31 in Carolina Kraken’s favor. With these statistics it is very clear that the Carolina Kraken are cup contenders this season.
