SHL ENTRY DRAFT S57

Not going to waste any time and I will get right into it, not sure how far I will get down the list of draft picks but I should at a minimum get the first round done.  18 picks and its the New England Wolfpack who make a splash by acquiring multiple first round picks including the big one at first overall.  They clearly saw something in the rookie and jumped on the occasion to nab him at number one.
Round 1
1 .  England Wolfpack - Jonathan Granström - Halkohl
Center - Jonathan Granström TPE: 318 is a product out of the Detroit Falcons system.  Last season Johnathan put out some pretty decent numbers offensively registering 8 goals and 15 points.  Not bad at all considering he only averaged 10:14 of ice time and played on the worse team of the league.

2 .  Minnesota Monarchs - Arsene Leclerc - spooked
Left Defense - Arsene Leclerc TPE: 370 was drafted in the juniors by the Anaheim Outlaws and he seemed to fit right into their system.  Playing over 21 minutes a game and on a very offensive team, Leclerc thrived with 7 goals and 22 points and although not having much success on the powerplay (4pts) he was the trigger man on the first wave compounding 125 sog.  He is also the current leader in TPE for his draft class.
3 . Los Angeles Panthers - Sean Gatez - SewingWithNancy
Left Defense - Sean Gatez TPE: 305 played his rookie season in the "J" with Maine where he was given a chance to show off his skills.  Slowly easing him in different roles playing both specialty teams.  With 9 points last season and a -18 (woa thats cold) rating the Panthers will have him on double duty on defensive skills and man to man coverage.

4 . New Orleans Specters - Vlastislav Malik - Leafs1997
Left Wing - Vlastislav Malik TPE: 324  is 1/3 of the Kelowna Knights all rookie 3rd line.  On the 2nd worse team of the league, offensively Malik did not shine but physically he was a force to reckon.  Cumulating 90 hits placing him 2nd on the team in just under 15 minutes of ice time.  The Czech still managed to score 4 goals and collect 12 points.

5 . Winnipeg Jets - Dwayne Gretzky - 3lewsers
Left Wing - Dwayne Gretzky TPE: 309 Wayne the Dwayne??  Guess so as not much to say for the Berserker statwise as he had a very limited role on the 4th line only playing 8 minutes a night.  Angry, courageous maybe both as Gretzky did drop the mits 2 times, his full potential will be discovered in the coming seasons, but for now he seems to have a very balanced build offensively vis a vie defensively.

6 . Winnipeg Jets - Freyja Hellstrom - Calliope
Left Wing - Freyja Hellström TPE: 330 is good for top 5 in this class for most TPE, she played on a stacked team for the Carolina Kraken and shot at a 17,5% accuracy this past season.  To her credit she scored 13 times and amassed 21 points with no specialty time on ice.

7 . San Francisco Pride - Ruggs McOooh - Ruggsy
Left Defense - Ruggs McOoooh TPE: 321 congrats Pride you nailed yourself a true winner!  Seeing Rugsey fall below the 4th pick is blasphemy, no offense to others but I know him too well and he is a great defender in the making.  Goalies best friend after the posts he is your typical shutdown defenseman.  Getting top minutes in the penalty kill and while applying the body on a nightly basis and ranked 3rd on the team for hits.

8 . Los Angeles Panthers - Jari Heikkinen - Allegiant
Right Defense - Jari Heikkinen TPE: 310 played his first professional season in Quebec City.  A fast and mobile defenseman helped him propell his stats to impressive numbers with 7 goals and 20 points.  Quebec maximized his skills by playing him as a number 5 or 6 but rounding out his minutes with 2nd unit duties in both powerplay and penalty kill.   Smooth rushing defenseman had 87 shots on goal and will prove to be a natural quarterback of any powerplay.

9 . New England Wolfpack - Brennan Huff - Jayrome
Right Wing - Brennan Huff TPE: 297  is the second Knight to get drafted and is also fellow line mate of Vlastislav Malik.  Very similar offensive stats to Malik but not as robust scored 6 goals and also had 12 points.

10 .New England Wolfpack - Jon St. Ark - Arkz
Goalie - Jon St. Ark TPE: 326 what can I say, I too had him pegged as the top goalie of the draft.  Dawning the colors of the Vancouver Whalers here we saw a true one two punch in between the pipes.  A true time share and a beautiful thing to see between a veteran and rookie duo who both had sensational seasons.  His 19 wins were 4th best in the league and his 93% save percentage were tops as well.

11 . Atlanta Inferno - Pablo Salvatici - Jepox
Center - Pablo Salvatici TPE: 313 had great numbers down in Anchorage posting 9 goals and +/- of even!  The 4th line center kept his nose down and did the work needed to propel himself to the 11th overall pick.

12 . New Orleans Specters - Cian McFelter - Titan

Center - Cian McFelter TPE: 281 the 3rd member of the infamous rookie 3rd line of the Kelowna Knights, Cian had a fantastic season offensively.  Finishing the season in a three way tie in scoring with 25 points and 17 of which were assists.

13 . Manhattan Rage - Matty Sandeen - TheBigSandeenie
Left Defense - Matty Sandeen TPE: 291 played mostly on the 3rd pair for the Berserkers picking up 13 points.  Was used sporadically on the 2nd wave of the powerplay where he let go his cannon shots and racked up 78 shots on goal.  More of a finesse player well positioned so he does not draw too many penalties getting only called for 2 minor penalties!
14 . Calgary Dragons - Luukas Lilja - Retuperkele
Center - Luukas Lilja TPE: 293 another product out of Carolina, the Kraken last season could count on Luukas elite playmaking skills with a pass first mentality he helped setup his teammates a total of 17 times.  No powerplay time at this point but look to see him exploit this avenue in the very near future.  Calgary have found themselves a true setup man.

15 . Edmonton Blizzard - Rude Sniff - Dude
Right Defense - Rude Sniff TPE: 352 still scratching my head on this one, not sure why but Sniff ranked number two in TPE falls onto the laps of the Blizzard at 15th overall.  With the lowest amount of ice time in Nevada the "Dude" still managed to score 7 goals and 10 points!  A two way defenseman at its best as seen through his build to my eyes as a perfect mix of both offense and defense.

16 . New Orleans Specters - Bas O'Bigber - Sopath
Left Wing - Bás O'Bigbers TPE: 314 in my eyes when I first joined the rookie discord seemed destined for that number one overall, fast track to the draft yesterday and oh how things have changed.  The Specters might of gotten themselves a steal too as the Blizzard might have.  Landing in the best market for his career, the Berserkers found themselves quite the offensive talent they hoped to find.  Bas clicked on that 3rd line role and picked up 22 points on the season with an even goal differential.

17 . Buffalo Stampede - Anton Mihailov - Mr. Finland

Center - Anton Mihailov TPE: 338 again another top TPE earner snubbed and drops like a sack or rocks to the 17th overall pick.  Buffalo must be smiling ear to ear by now as they nad themselves an up and coming offensive force.  Snake bitten all season long with very bad puck luck Anton should make a bang this season with more play time and probably be in the discussion for a scoring title...bold prediction!
18 . New Orleans Specters - Robert Feltersnatch - Roamus
Left Defense - Robert Feltersnatch TPE: 296 another Knight to make the first round, involved in a mid season trade, Robert had a hard time transitioning and therefore his offensive prowess were not completely reviled.  Capable to give much more in the coming season look to see him be a top point getter on the blueline as he is widely known better for his offensive intuition than his defensive ones.
