Our second to last sim related award is the John McBride – awarded for the best goaltender of the season! We have three deserving nominees:

Kata Vilde Dragons - One of the best goaltending seasons of his career, Vilde turned in a dominant 34-6-4 record, while letting in only 73 goals against – lowest in the league. Vilde had 9 shutouts and a ridiculous 0.936 save%.

A Jobin Steelhawks - The backstop responsible for the Hamilton Steelhawks impressive run, Jobin lost only 4 games in regulation this season. His 0.932 save% and 1.82 GAA were up there with Vilde’s, and he only allowed 79 goals against. Very impressive for the 2nd year goaltender.

Knox Booth Panthers - Also a nominee for MVP this season, Booth hard carried the Panthers to 3rd in their division. They impressed a lot of teams this season after they were written off – and a lot of that is deserved credit to Booth. He had a 0.934 sv% and a 2.64 GAA while facing 600+ more shots than the other nominees for this award. His GSHAA also lead the league by a country mile!!

Thanks Wasty, Carpy, JSS, TurdFerguson, Geekusoid and Awesomecakes for the sigs!

And now for the final award given to a player, the Ron Mexico Award for MVP. Our nominees are:

Theo Morgan Steelhawks - The winner of the Sarmad Khan trophy, Morgan had an absolutely insane S56. Morgan put up 82 points and led the league in goals, with 43. His offensive output is one for the record books, and at one point in the season he was on pace for 50 goals in 50 games.

Knox Booth Panthers -  As mentioned above, Booth was the key player in the LA Panthers success this season. He was the reason they won as many games as they did, and he earned them a playoff spot with his excellent play.

Martijn Westbroek syndicate - The top scorer on the Syndicate, and second in the league with 70 points, Westbroek was impressive all season long. He lead the league with 23 power play points, and even had a positive TK-GA differential!

Thanks Wasty, Carpy, JSS, TurdFerguson, Geekusoid and Awesomecakes for the sigs!

Finally, one of the most important awards given out, is the Damian Littleton award for the Most Dedicated Member of the site. We had lots of good nominees this season. Thank you to everyone who puts their blood, sweat, and tears into this site. You make it the amazing place to be that it is. Without further ado, here are the S56 nominees:

Esilverm – The people’s champion. As most people saw, silver has been working tirelessly to build a brand new index for the site. His media about it was mindblowing, and I cannot wait for it to be finished. His hard work was well deserving of a nomination. I would like to recognize all the other hard workers who have been involved with this project. We really don’t deserve you!

SDCore – The retiring commissioner, the committee wanted to nominate and recognize all of his hard work over the past seasons he has served. Corey, you left the site in a better spot than when you found it. The FHM transition has not been easy, and this is a long due nomination.

TheDangaZone – One of the hardest working members of the site, TDZ has been hard at work leading the recruitment team. He recently implemented rookie tasks, which is going to be a game changer for all new gens going forward!!

Hotdog – Not only did hotdog GM an expansion team to 2nd in their division, he also is the sturdy head of SHL player development, and his hard work is not to go un-noticed! Thanks for keeping the teeps on time and high quality!

Thanks Wasty, Carpy, JSS, TurdFerguson, Geekusoid and Awesomecakes for the sigs!
