S57 mPT #1 - Offseason Moves

The offseason move that stood out for me was getting rid of that useless sack of poop known as JNH. His ruthless regime has held me down for many years and now I'm finally going to be able to blossom into a real player. I've been given the agitator role instead of simply a goon because the new management knows that I'm an absolute super star who can do more than punch. Though I like to punch and I will continue to punch. Basically new management equals god mod.

One of the more interesting moves has definitely been the Toronto trade for Adam Barron. It looks like a massive overpayment, but thinking about why would you be so happy to give up that many picks for just a single player, you realize Toronto needs none of them whatsoever and they just used all of them to get a fantastic piece for their defense. It's a trade that you think is trash just on the paper alone, but with a bit of hindsight, it seems a lot more reasonable and it's weird that something like that can even happen.

Buffalo did a great thing by resigning Bobby Sharp for a large contract. This is specifically great because I am actually Bobby Sharp and now I can afford to gamble it all away.

The Los Angeles Panthers made a key acquisition this off-season with the signing of FA Poopity Scoop. He will solidify the top 4 on defense and give up and coming rooking Kierkegaard more time to develop.

The best off season move that a team made this season was not trading for Gabe Johnson. Every team except for the Hamilton Steelhawks came out as winners this off season because they do not roster Gabe Johnson

The best move of the off-season has to be Tig Murphy for a 2nd round pick, Hamilton traded duggan away for the same price, they get a better D for maybe a lower price such winnipeg 2nd could be higher than nola's 2nd.

Chicago called up JURT who is here to steal my job. He has a promising future and as a defensive forward got more points than me during the preseason.

The Wolfpack made a great move when they traded up to get the 1st pick overall in the S57 draft to get Jonathan Granström, the top talent in the draft class who will make a difference sooner rather than later in the SHL with New England.

Huge thanks to @Carpy48 and @sulovilen for the signature!

I haven’t been paying much attention outside of Texas but the addition of Cillian Kavanagh is pretty big. While we already had a good goalie in Goodman, competition breeds better performance so these two guys should push each other to be better.

I noticed this offseason that the Argonauts re-signed Thor Odinson and gave him more money. I think as their foreseeable future at goalie giving him more money will only help them out in the long term.

I paid zero attention to what happened this offseason, so i'll just say that everything that the monarchs did was the best because they are the best team. Also Slimey Snail gonna maybe hit some people because he thicc af.

I think the biggest move of the offseason was Buffalo re-signing Elizabeth Doyle. From a team standpoint, securing a top-notch goalie is obviously great for the Stampede. From a league standpoint, the lack of attention the former McBride winner drew in free agency made it even more clear that the current structure of the league is terribly unfriendly to goalies at large, made evident last offseason with Aleister Cain's free agency.

The Batimore Platoon signing their 3rd round draft pick was the biggest off season move. The pick is named Victor Fedorov and he has a great future in the SHL.

Best off season move hands down, the Texas renegades acquisition of goaltender, Cillian Kavanaugh. The only hole on the roster was a second goalie. Not anymore.. the end.

I think one of the best moves in the SHL this offseason is Baltimore embracing the youth movement in the franchise. After several rough seasons its finally time for their up and coming prospects to make their debuts. While it may still lead to couple more rough years, establishing their core this season and allowing them to grow and develop together will lead to big future success.
