With many teams around the 9 to 11 games played mark, I wanted to focus on some of the more elite offensive talents around the league. We are down to what I am going to coin as the FROZEN 12. So who are these top end talents who after at least 9 games currently still sit pointless in the SHL?

So what's some of these trends that we can pick out from this group? Well a quick look at the standings and we see how the following teams listed pans out.

New Orleans – San Francisco – Seattle – Tampa bay are currently in the bottom few spots of the league, so seeing some names here for those teams shouldn’t be overly surprising. With almost all of the players on the list as well under 800 TPE on average, once again, nothing should stand out as a staggering surprise. But we have some real winners in this grouping.

The thing that makes me really sad is that there is 3 of the 12 players listed from the 54 draft, and poor youngster Alex Marshall from Season 55.

The current title for #1 zero loser has to be in the court of Mikkel Asmus Sondergard though as he is not only at 11 games compared to some other players, but has over 1000 TPE. Keahi could technically be our potential for the leader with this pack being a forward, but he still has 2 games to register at least 1 point to beat out the tremendous streak the young defenseman has.

It will be fun to watch how long he can keep the streak going playing on the top Western team who has so far outscored opponents 45 to 20, and sits at an even ZERO for plus minus as well. What we are witnessing is true talent here, and I will not accept any other solution to this dedication to the craft of absolute zero.

We will see as the week goes, if the field begins to thin out some more….
