Detroit Falcons First Round Review
With the second pick, the Detroit Falcons pick Luc Blouin
With the third pick, the Detroit Falcons pick Pavel Jeziak
With the fourth pick, the Detroit Falcons pick Kermit Murphy

Detroit Falcons finished last in the league last season, and all they were looking forward to was the draft. There they were able to use first rounders including their own, Quebec City, and Anaheim's picks. From those picks, they were able to draft 3 future studs, and ultimately it has paid off so far. They got one player each from Defense, Center, and Winger to help bolster their team. Currently the Falcons have not improved too much from last season, currently sitting second to last in their own division, but it is certainly an improvement, and once their rookies reach the 425 cap or even 350 cap, they can improve even further. Let's take a look at how they have been doing this season, and how they might be doing in the future.

Stats: GP: 25, Goals: 1, Assists: 8, Points: 9, -1 Plus/Minus, 38 SOG, 25 H, 15 SB

Site owner, DrunkenTeddy has made his next player, that is surefire to be a great player in the future. Currently third in TPE out of the whole draft class, he has not disappointed so far. His player has been struggling a little bit, with not too much stats in general. But with it being early in the career, no reason to read into it too much. Luc Clouin is currently already on the first line for the Falcons on defense. He has been building up his offense, playing with a quarterback role as well, which is more offensively focused. Will be really surprising, if he does not go top-2 in the draft.

Pavel Jeziak

TPE: 232

Stats: GP: 25, Goals: 7, Assists: 8, Points: 15, -5 Plus/Minus, 55 SOG, 16 H, 16 SB

Jeziak is having a very good first season so far with the Falcons. He is third in points, and with less games played than the leader and second place, he certainly has a chance to catch up with the other players. His Top attributes are 13s in Getting Open and Stamina and his offensive attributes are developed, but his defensive attributes are still developing with not a single attribute over 10. He currently plays on the third line, alongside fellow draftmate, Kermit Murphy. Jeziak is currently 19th in his class not including the GM picks, but has been pretty active, and considering he was picked so high in the SMJHL Draft, I project him to go top-7 once again.

Kermit Murphy

TPE: 243

Stats: GP: 25, Goals: 7, Assists: 3, Points: 10, -1 Plus/Minus, 37 SOG, 73 H, 26 SB

Kermit Murphy has not been doing as good offensively as his linemate, Jeziak, but has been making a big impact on the defensive end. With rookie-leading 73 Hits and 10th in shots blocked with 26 of them. Murphy has a very balanced build with multiple 11s and 10s in both the offensive and defensive sides of his attributes. From an honest opinon, I think he has a very good chance at being the best rookie this season, with his balanced stats. Combined with the fact that he is 50% faceoff percentage as well, if he can get himself into the top 5 in points while keeping up his defensive game, then he got in the bag.

Approved, +5 TPE @siddhus
