S58 Draft Class Analysis - Forwards (2x Draft Media)

Seeing as I am very broke I figured with the double draft media going on I would join in on the fun and write my own piece of media to make some money. I’m sure that most of this will be information that is not useful since it will be similar to other media articles that have been posted already as is the case with this many people writing about the same draft. This draft class has a total of 68 users in it. Though 16 of those are below 200 TPE, which means they haven’t earned much and may not be worth drafting. 38 of the players are Forwards in this class, 24 are Defensemen, and the remaining 6 are Goalies. With that said let’s start with the Forwards in this draft class.

Before we get to the first player I want to preface by saying all the none statistical info in this article is just my opinion and if I said anything that offends you or upsets you I did not mean to do that. Overall after going through all 38 forwards in this class I can tell you right now it is a very strong class of Forwards. Only a few have gone inactive and the rest seem to be great users. Not only are there some solid recreates in this group but also many first time users looking to make their first mark on the simulation hockey league.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser is a right wing from user Asked Madden. I recognize Asked Madden from the season 25 class of the ISFL where he was drafted by the San Jose SaberCats. Hundertwasser is currently the TPE leader of this draft class with 334 TPE currently. He was drafted by the St. Louis Scarecrows of the junior league where he had 17 Points last season and has accumulated a nice sized bank account already with over 30 million in his account. I’d be shocked if he makes it out of the top 5 of this draft. He’s a strong user that has already shown to be successful in another league and has a hefty bank account as well. This might be his first player in the league, but that shouldn’t be seen as a negative for a user like Asked Madden.

Jonny Tsunami is the next for forward on the list and he is a left wing. I recognize him not only as the surfer turned snow boarder of one of the great Disney channel original movies, but also because he is currently a rookie in the Pro Baseball Experience. He has over 21 million in his bank account, so he is pretty set for a while. He’s got 325 TPE, which is good for third overall in the draft class. He’ll be spending his time in the junior league playing for the Maine Timber where he had 32 Points this past season. With his early junior league success and nice sized bank account I think Tsunami is another name to consider at the top end of your mock drafts.

Danny C is another left wing in this draft class and he currently has 323 TPE which is good for 6th in the class. He was drafted in the junior league by the Kelowna Knights where he had 17 Points last season. While he doesn’t have a huge bank account he does have over 8 million in his account, which is much healthier than my bank account. Even though there are more total Forwards in this class than Defenders by a decent margin the upper echelon of earners are actually split fairly evenly with 11 forwards currently at or above 300 TPE and 10 Defenders. Knowing that each team needs more Forwards than Defenders I imagine the top of this draft may be a bit forward heavy and I could see Danny C not making it past the halfway point in the first round.

The cleverly named Mew Two is the next forward in this class from user zeagle1. This may be the first ever Pokemon to play hockey, at least it’s the first time I’ve seen a Pokemon play hockey. Mew Two is a right wing that is playing in the junior league for the Quebec City Citadelles. Mew Two currently has 321 TPE, which is tied for eighth best in the draft class. He had 18 Points last season for the Citadelles. Zeagle1 has amassed a decent sized bank account already with over 26 million in his account right now. If it was up to me I would take this guy first overall purely because he is a Pokemon, but that’s also why I’m not a general manager in this league, and in the league I am a general manager I have much smarter people around me to keep me from making dumb decisions.

Nikolaj Boyle is the son of the great Brooklyn detective Charles Boyle from user zaynzk. He currently has 315 TPE, which is good for 12th in the draft class. Boyle is a left wing who is playing in the junior league for the team I’m on the Vancouver Whalers. Boyle had 21 Points for the Whalers last season. His bank account is currently at over 11 million which is decent. Zaynzk is a great locker room presence and any team will be happy they drafted him.

Hunter Sharpe is a left wing from user ImYolo. He plays in the junior league for the St. Louis Scarecrows where he had 11 Points last season. He currently has 313 TPE, which is good for 13th in the draft class. He has over 10 million stashed away in his bank account, which is respectable. I don’t have much to add about Sharpe other than he is obviously a good earner with a decent amount of money in the bank, which means he’ll probably be drafted pretty high.

Dogwood Maple is a center from user dogwoodmaple. I recognize the name from the pro baseball experience where he is a rookie pitcher for the Indianapolis Apex. He also has a unique render as Abraham Lincoln. Probably the first US president render in the SHL. Maple plays in the junior league for the Maine Timber where he had 20 Points last season. He currently has 311 TPE which is good for 14th in the draft class. He has amassed quite a big bank account with over 36 million in the bank. Between his connections to the PBE and his large bank account I wouldn’t be surprised to see Maple drafted very high in this draft class.

Noel Blanchet is a center from user JT3. His profile picture is of Archer, so I can already tell this guy is great in the locker room. He is playing for the Colorado Raptors of the junior league and had 31 Points last season. Blanchet currently has 308 TPE which is good for 16th in the draft class. He’s got a whopping 52 million in his bank account right now, which means he should be good for a few seasons without adding any more money. JT3 is also the first recreate in this class, and recreates a lot of times garner high draft picks, especially if their previous player was successful and his previous player, Jon Toner, was around for almost 20 seasons, so I would say he had a great first career. I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a recreate like JT3 jump up to the top of the draft.

Roboute Guilliman is a center from user Hazack. I have to admit I have no idea how to pronounce his name, but luckily I don’t have to. Roboute is playing for the Kelowna Knights in the junior league and had 20 Points last season. Roboute is another recreate and user Hazack currently has over 18 million in his bank account. I don’t have any quick info on his first player, but since he joined the site in December of 2019 I’m gonna guess his first player didn’t last too long. Roboute currently has 307 TPE, which is good for 18th in the draft class. It is hard to say where Roboute will go in this draft, but it will definitely be positively or negatively influenced by what happened with Hazack’s previous player.

Leon Schweingruber has a mouthful of a last name and is a center from user DApolloS. Schweingruber is playing for the Colorado Raptors of the junior league and had 16 Points last season. He’s currently got 303 TPE, which is good for 20th in the draft class. He’s only got just over 6 million in his bank account at the moment. He was the 41st pick in the junior league draft last season and I suspect he has done enough to get picked much higher than 41st in this draft.

Kermit Murphy is the final forward in this draft class that’s got above 300 TPE. He is a left handed center from user notorioustig who is a pretty well known user in the league. He’ll more thank likely end up being drafted by the Hamilton Steelhawks. He’ll be playing for the Detroit Falcons in the junior league and had 27 Points last season. He has a very nice bank account with over 76 million, so he’s definitely rolling in the dough. As I mentioned he is just above 300 TPE at 302 currently which is 21st in the league. I just learned something that I need to add. Notorioustig is actually now one of the new GM’s for the expansion team the Seattle Argonauts, so he will be drafted by Seattle obviously.

Nike Kickz Jr is surprisingly not a pair of shoes, but a right wing from user Nike. He’s got 295 TPE, which is good for 24th in the draft class. He plays for the Newfoundland Berserkers of the junior league and had 22 Points last season. Nike has been around the league for a long time and has amassed over 54 million in his bank account. I’m not sure how many players he has had prior to Nike Kickz Jr, but considering he joined the site in December of 2012 I would guess quite a few.

Pavel Jeziak is a right wing from user Leppish. He’s a member of the Detroit Falcons and 27 Points last season. Leppish is a veteran of the simulation hockey league having created his first player back in July of 2016.  He’s currently got over 21 million in his bank account. He’s at 288 TPE, which is tied for 26th in the draft class.

Ric Charlesworth is a center from user simo_393. He’s also got 288 TPE like Pavel Jeziak. He’s playing in the junior league for the Newfoundlad Berserkers and had 18 Points last season. He has just over 9 million in his bank account. Interestingly, simo has stated via Discord that he will not be earning TPE past the 450 TPE mark. It sounds like he wants to spend his entire career in the simulation major junior hockey league playing for the Berserkers and therefore he either will not be drafted or will be drafted very late in the draft.

Yan Dolff a left wing player from user lordbolo is up next. He’s a player for the Detroit Falcons of the junior league and had 24 Points last season. Dolff is currently sitting at 284 TPE, which is good for 28th in the draft class. He’s got a decent sized bank account at over 20 million to this point. He also has one of the greatest beards I have ever seen. I would draft this dude for his beard alone.

Greg Davies is taking a break from the hilarious British comedy game show Taskmaster to play right wing from user bjkman. If you’ve never seen Taskmaster you are missing out. Check it out on youtube. Davies is playing in the junior league for the St. Louis Scarecrows and had 14 Points last season. He’s got 280 TPE, which puts him at 29th in the draft class. He has over 12 million in his bank account, which is respectable. I never thought I would see a Greg Davies render in SHL, and therefore I’m moving him up to the highest priority must draft tier of this draft class.

Paul Binder is a left wing from user CaptainCamel. He’s playing in the junior league for the Anchorage Armada and had 27 Points last season. He only has 4 million in his bank account, so he needs to do something to boost those numbers up soon or he will be completely broke just from weekly training. He’s got 278 TPE right now, which is tied for 31st best in the draft class.

Tomas Lind is a left wing from user Canadice. He’s playing for the Carolina Kraken of the junior league and had 28 Points last season. Lind currently has 278 TPE, which is good for 31st in the draft class. Canadice has over 4 million in his bank account, so he’ll be looking for a decent contract to help him stay out of debt.

Austin Smith is a left wing player from user Kettellkorn. I don’t know anything about the user, but his name sure made me hungry for kettle korn. Smith currently has 273 TPE, which is 34th in the draft class. He plays in the junior league for the Vancouver Whalers and had 22 Points last season. He’s currently got over 5 million in his account, which is pretty low, but serviceable.

Ruedi Huber is a left wing from user filipscoresberg. His render is Nino Niederreiter, which is great because he plays for my favorite team, the Carolina Hurricanes. Huber is playing in the junior league for the Colorado Raptors and had 22 Points last season. He’s currently sitting at 270 TPE, which puts him at 35th in the draft class. Filipscoresberg is a great user name, but unfortunately, he has only amassed 3 and a half million dollars in his bank account, so he’ll be needing some help with money in his contract for sure.

Jesse Trudeau is a left wing from user Out of Toast. I think most people genuinely like toast, so to be out of it must be an awful thing. He’s playing in the junior league for the Newfoundland Berserkers and had 15 Points last season. He’s got 269 TPE at the moment, which is good for 36th in the draft class. Out of Toast has close to 6 million in his bank account, so hopefully he has a plan to earn more soon.

Brian Davenport is a right wing from user Vandy. This is not his first player in the league. He’s playing in the junior league for the Quebec City Citadelles and had 13 Points last season. Davenport comes in at 37th in the draft class with 265 TPE. He’s got a decent amount in the bank with 14 million currently. His last player was defenseman Eric Vanderberg who had a peak TPE of 1178, so we can expect Vandy as a known commodity to go somewhat early I would think.

Golden Face has taken a break from his villainy as seen in the classic film Threat Level Midnight to play right wing from user Dewalt27. I know Dewalt pretty well from the International Simulation Football League where he is the updater for my team the New Orleans Second Line as well as a general manager for one of the new teams the Berlin Fire Salamanders. Dewalt is a great guy, which means that even if he is lower in TPE he should get drafted pretty high. He’s currently at 40th in the draft class with 247 TPE. He is playing in the junior league for the Carolina Kraken where he scored 19 Points last season. He’s only got 1 million in his bank account, so he probably is hoping for a decent sized contract to help him buy training and coaching.

Ako Zile is a center from user advenny4. Zile is playing in the junior league for my team the Vancouver Whalers. Hopefully he can help us win another four star cup next season. Last season he had 13 Points for he Whalers. He’s sitting at 246 TPE, which is 41st in the draft class. He also has 6 million TPE, which is good for a month and a half of weekly trainings.

Fredrik Stefansson is a left wing from user The Professor. I’m sure he could teach me a thing or two, but I don’t even know what he is a professor of to be honest. He’s playing in the junior league for the Maine Timber where he had 17 Points last season. He’s 42nd in the draft class with 244 TPE. He’s got close to 8 million in his account right now, which isn’t bad at all.

David S. Pumpkins is a left wing from user Rev. If you weren’t aware the character of David S. Pumpkins is a Saturday Night Live character portrayed by the one and only Tom Hanks. His middle initial supposedly stands for Simon of all things. This will go down as Tom Hanks greatest work. Pumpkins is playing in the junior league for the Anchorage Armada where he had 15 Points last season. Also, I’m not 100% sure on this, but is this the Rev from ISFL? Regardless he has just over 5 million in his bank account, but anyone with a Tom Hanks render should be drafted early.

Vladlen Sidorov is a center from user diacope. This is diacope’s second player I think. Not sure on his first player, but he is the first player I’ve come across that actually owes money to the bank as he is currently in the negative by about half a million. He’s on the Nevada Battleborn of the junior league who are run by my good friend and New Orleans Second Line teammate nokazoa. Sidorov scored 18 Points playing for the Nevada Battleborn last season. He’s currently sitting in 46th place in the draft class with 230 TPE.

Leon Athansios is a right wing from user Spartan. He plays for the Newfoundland Berserkers of the junior league and had 19 Points last season. Athansios currently has 229 TPE which is 47th in the draft class. He has just under 7 million dollars in his bank account.  I don’t know much else about Athansios, but I do know that name is a mouthful and I might just call him Leon or Spartan.

Cole Carter is a left wing from long time user Boomcheck. His previous player was Cameron Carter II. He’s currently got over 27 million in his bank account, which is a nice amount to be starting a new player with. Carter is playing for the Anchorage Armada of the junior league and had just 3 Points last season. It looks like he was a late joiner of the class as he only played in 35 games last season. That’s also why he is only 51st in TPE at 215 TPE right now. Don’t be surprised to see Carter drafted before many of the previously mentioned wings in this draft.

Twenty Twenty was not a year to remember, but hopefully it is a hockey player to remember. From user leafssteen this is definitely not his first player as he joined back in December of 2012. Twenty is a right wing from Copenhagen, Denmark who is playing in the junior league for the Colorado Raptors. He’s currently got 214 TPE which is 52nd in the draft class. He is also the last player in the draft class to have hit the 200 TPE mark. Leafssteen doesn’t have a lot of money right now with just under 2 million, so he’s not got a lot to pay for training right now, but he’s been around the league a long time, which could be a factor in where he is drafted.

Hex Rose is a center from user Hex Universe. Could this person be related to my friend JPach who had a player named Literallyjusta Hexagon? It’s definitely possible. Rose is playing for the Newfoundland Berserkers in the junior league and I feel like a ton of the players in this draft class are from Newfoundland. Maybe that’s not accurate, but I seem to remember typing Newfoundland quite a bit. He had 12 Points last season for the Berserkers and is 53rd in the draft class with 199 TPE. Hex Universe is currently scraping the bottom of the barrel and has negative one and a half million dollars in his bank account. He is approaching the lowest he can go and needs an influx of money immediately.

Neal Turner is a center from user CaptainAmericanBurger1775. I’m not sure what a captain american burger is, but I definitely want to try it. He’s got 194 TPE right now, which is 54th in the draft class. Turner is playing for the Detroit Falcons in the junior league and had 10 Points last season. CaptainAmericanBurger1775 has eight and a half million in his bank account, which is pretty good. He hasn’t put in an update since mid December, so unfortunately he is probably inactive and will not be returning.

Mats LaFleur is a left wing player from user spicypickle. I don’t like pickles, but maybe making it spicy will help? No idea, but it might be worth checking out someday. LaFleur is playing in the junior league for the Vancouver Whalers. Last season he scored 14 Points for the Whalers. He does have one and a half million in his bank account, but unfortunately he hasn’t visited the site since mid December. He’s currently sitting at 193 TPE, which is good for 55th in the draft class.

Ellis McPickle is a left wing from user DJPUFF. He’s got 191 TPE right now, which is 56th in the draft class. He is on the Maine Timber of the junior league and had 17 Points last season. He’s got just over 8 million in his bank account, but has not visited the site since early December. Maybe he will come back and be able to utilize his bank account, but the likelihood of that is slim to none.

Casey Outlaw is a right wing from user jonnysauce22. Outlaw in another Vancouver Whaler and last season he had 11 Points. He’s sitting at 60th in the draft class with just 167 TPE. If I remember correctly you start with 155, so he only made 12 TPE before going inactive. He sadly leaves over 4 million in his bank account, but he’s been gone since early December.

Don Reid is a right wing from user dreid45. At only 161 TPE he is tied for 61st in the draft class. He does have 3 million in his bank account, but hasn’t been on the website since December first. He is on the Maine Timber of the junior league and had 8 Points last season.
Nick Grant is a center from user NGrant17. Like Reid he has 161 TPE which is tied for 61st in the draft class. Also like Reid he has been inactive for quite some time and he has over 4 million in his bank account. He had 17 Points playing for the St. Louis Scarecrows last season.

The final forward in this draft class is Brian Ruddy from user Ruddy29. He is a right wing on the Colorado Raptors roster in the junior league and had 10 Points last season. At 158 TPE he only applied 3 TPE to his build before going inactive and is 64th in the draft class. He leaves one million in his account and will probably never be seen again.

That concludes the forwards of this draft class. I think this is a good place to stop the article and post it for viewing pleasure. Hopefully I can get around to writing a post about the Defensemen and Goalies of this draft class, but I am frankly tired of writing right now, and want to get this posted. There are a ton of really great forwards in this class and I can’t wait to see which ones join me in Tampa Bay.
