With the expansion to 66 games in the SHL and J, it feels appropriate to also expand the IIHF and WJC round robin. Right now with only a 3 day period of 12 games it feels like the IIHF is an afterthought, and one way to make it relevant to players is to have it take a slightly longer amount of time, and have more games.

What I was thinking was do IIHF and WJC over the span of 6 days and do 20 games per team, but that's just a number I'm pulling out of my ass. I do think doing IIHF over a week minus Sunday is a good timeframe that doesn't lengthen the offseason too much or overload simmers with like 40 games a day.

I mean sure I don't disagree, but like can get get a simmer for that. Right now with sparky doing both that isn't really doable. Also I think nour is trying to speed up the offseason which leaves a bit less time for IIHF

I imagine there's a sweet sport of having a longer tournament but also still leaving few enough games for there to be surprises.

Also, right now it's at 12 games because it's a double round robin, which makes sense, so it may be tough to change.
