During this last hiring cycle we had so many great ideas brought to us in our apps that we had decided to expand the team slightly and work on bringing these ideas to the light of day more easily. So I wanted to reach out to expand on these a little and explain the additional hiring's in the process.
Firstly, the recruitment team will now be running the official league twitter. Once everything is completely running how we want it to and smoothly it will be a place that we will be posting on daily with game scores, outstanding players from games, big news on the site, etc... We hope that by making the league twitter more active and engaged with the happenings of the league that we can more easily use it to recruit some in the future as well as it being a nice cool feature to see some of the league happenings on the side bar more often.
Additionally on the league twitter. Unfortunately, it seems the login info for the league twitter was lost over time so we in the recruitment team have made a new official league twitter going forward. We have already been busy trying to follow teams and other users and have noticed that some of you all have already followed us back which we are thrilled about! Please be patient as we continuously improve and grow the twitter in time and know that it may take a bit to get it running as smoothly and engaged as we want it in the end but we will get there.

We hope to be able to post daily scores, stats, and league happenings in there much the same as an NHL themed subreddit does and grow activity in it. The subreddit will be created and worked on more over the course of the season so hopefully we can have that to you all very soon! Didn't want to rush that one out yet until we've worked out all the details on it.

Not overly sold on the subreddit.
Between the new index being worked on, the advancements in the discord bots, and not to mention having our own media section on our site. A sub reddit would just take activity off of this site, and drive it over to reddit. We should be encouraging more active media participation on our site, and I don't see how a sub reddit would help contribute to that.
I do agree that twitter would be more beneficial, specially if we are going to run ads or something.

The hope more for the subreddit isn't to really drive traffic from the site but to have another avenue for people to see an introduction to the site. Using it in conjunction with the twitter and the site to make it easier on recruitment to have more ways for new potential members to see the site and what we are about. On top of that it's something we can link in our recruitment posts when we're posting on subreddits during recruitment drives.
In the end we feel like the members aren't really going to be going off site for a subreddit anymore than when everyone thought discord would kill site activity and other than the team locker rooms on site, it has been as active as ever. It's a nice compliment to get more eyes on us potentially with more avenues for those eyes to see us.
