The Google Sheets above was created by me. All stats used are from the SMJHL Index 2/27/21 at 12 AM. That means this doesn't include Saturday's stats. The Rookie Players list, TPE, and teams come from the Updaters Google Sheets. I would like to thank them because they made this whole deal a bit easier. Please note I have very little hockey knowledge, most prospect rankings came based on points scored.

All-Rookie First Team
W - Lebron Brady
Position: Right Wing
Team: STL
TPE: 235
Pick: Round 4, Pick 38
Prospect Rank: #3 Overall
Position Rank: #2 Wing
Write-Up: Lebron has been one of the biggest surprises currently sitting at tied for first in the SMJHL in terms of rookie points. Brady has an incredible 8 goals and 13 assists adding up to 21 total points. Despite his great offensive performances, Lebron still sits in the negatives at a -2 +/-. Lebron's 8 goals have come on just 44 shots and only 1 assist came on a power play. And his defense has been fairly good for such an offensive-minded player. 20 Hits, 24 Shots blocked and even 11 takeaways are respectable. He has spent 14 minutes in the penalty box though and he has 17 giveaways so the areas he can improve on are fairly clear. Overall he is only getting about 13 and a half minutes of ice time each game, so his amazing production numbers are crazy. Lebron is currently leading one of the top Rookie classes which is really impressive for a 4th round pick. He has been a dream pick for the boys in St. Louis.

W - Alexis Saint-Michel
Position: Left Wing

Prospect Rank: #1 Overall
Position Rank: #1 Wing
Write-Up: Alexis Saint-Michel has really been everything you would want to see in a late first-round draft pick. He has shown he could have gone higher in the draft but more importantly, wasn't a wasted pick. With 13 points coming on goals and 8 coming on assists, he finds himself tied with Lebron for that first place spot and they are really setting up a race for that rookie of the year run. Alexis had the advantage of a bit over 30 more TPE but Lebron has the advantage of being an underdog. Either way though, I am interested to see the rest of Saint-Michel's season. He is much more impressive on the defensive side than Lebron is. 39 Hits and 27 blocked shots are always impressive for a forward. Saint-Michel currently sits at about 16 minutes of playtime a game and an overall +10 +/-. A future star in the making in Vancouver and very likely the number 1 overall pick.

C - Reidar Gronkjaer
Position: Center
Team: COL
TPE: 217
Pick: Round 2, Pick 19
Prospect Rank: #4 Overall
Position Rank: #1 Center
Write-Up: 5 Goals and 13 assists mid-way through the season is gonna earn you the spot of top rookie Center. He sits at 18 total points and is ranked 3rd among the rookies. I really don't see him catching up though because of purely how hot Alexis Saint-Michel is. He also currently has a +5 +/- which is very impressive for a rookie. Sadly Gronkjaer maybe hasn't quite put up the defensive numbers you might want to see out of your center with just 14 hits but a decent 29 blocked shots. Reidar mainly earned his all-rookie first-team spot through his offensive production which has been really impressive so far. For a second-round draft pick, you have to be proud of how good he has been. It is to note, he is only getting about 11 and a half minutes of ice time a game.
D - Aleksandrs Balcers
Position: Left Defense

Prospect Rank: #2 Overall
Position Rank: #1 Defenseman
Write-Up: With 8 goals and 10 assists, Balcers has been a dream defenseman. He currently sits with a +31 +/- which is literally just insane. He has been able to get off about 84 Shots on Goal in nearly 20 minutes a game which both stats are impressive. He is getting a lot of shots off and he has been able to hang with the high playtime. On defense, he has 23 hits and 17 shots blocked but has a defensive rating on the season of 69 which is really good for a rookie. Overall Balcers has been everything you would have predicted out of the number one overall pick. I am not sure if he will still be the number 1 pick in the upcoming draft but I do know he will be up there. Overall just a very impressive player.

D - AJ Tirrell

Position Rank: #2 Defenseman
Write-Up: To wrap up the First team we got the Big Dawg AJ Tirrell. AJ has a great 5 goals and 11 assists adding up to 16 points. He has been the bright spot of an underwhelming Anaheim team. He sits at a -13 +/- despite his great offensive productions. On defense, he has 33 hits and 11 shots blocked which is great to see in a 44th overall pick. He has been a dream pick for Anaheim and had it not been for him, I would probably say their draft is in the bottom 4 of the league. It is good to note though he is getting the most ice time of all of the rookies on the first team sitting at around 20 and a half minutes a game.

Overall I have really enjoyed this and I look forward to writing more about these guys come draft time. I hope this helps someone because it took many hours to create. I'm hoping maybe I (Lebron Brady) can edge out for the Rookie point leader and earn myself a first-round pick, but I am not sure yet. Because I know very little about hockey I based most of it on scoring (because that's the part I understand :D) and Jay sink had like 8 total points, he is probably like 12-13 of defense guys based on points but if u factor in defense he is probably around 6 - 7, not too sure though, I don't know what stats are more important

Nice job on the google spread sheet and glad you got Petrov at number one at the G spot. Probably should be top 5 in RotY consideration as he's likely going to be the goalie that goes in the first round of the SHL draft this year.
