S59 SHL Draft Class Preview - Double Draft Media
It is time again for a new draft class to join the SHL and this one has a lot of names I’m familiar with from ISFL. This seems to be a pretty large draft class with 77 total players. I’m going to mainly focus on the top 20 based on TPE, but might add in a few more if there are some big recreates lower down the list. There are 40 players in the draft class that have already hit the 250 TPE mark, which is pretty strong. So when I started writing this the order was a bit different as far as players with most TPE which is why this isn’t exactly in order. I don’t have the time or patience to put it back in order. Also, I know I originally said I was just going to focus on the top 20, but I’m having fun writing these, so I’m gonna keep going for now. Ryuuji Kawashima | Raven | 327 TPE | F | ANA | $48,018,000 Raven is a long time and well known sim league user. In ISFL Raven was star QB Corvo Havran and is now Honolulu Hahalua safety Davriel Lavigne. In SHL this will be Raven’s third player. His first was Raven Silverwang, who had a lot of success with the New England Wolfpack back in the 30s. His next player was Rafe Ulrich and was drafted first overall by the New England Wolfpack in the S42 draft. The Wolfpack didn’t win any championships while Ulrich was on the roster, and that leads us to Ravens next player Ryuuji Kawashima. Will the Wolfpack draft Kawashima in the first round like they did with Ulrich? I would assume so. Dane von Gucci | gucci | 324 TPE | D | STL | $15,150,000 Top of the board is Dane von Gucci from user gucci. It looks like gucci originally created back for the S54 class with Robert von Wertz, but that clearly didn’t pan out as he is back now with a S59 player, and that seems to be working out much better this time around. I’m very familiar with gucci from the ISFL as gucci has been a General Manager in that league for many different teams and recently finished up a three season stint in Honolulu where his current player is a big time DE for the Hahalua. After creating at the trade deadline Gucci was picked up off waivers by the Carolina Kraken where he had 5 points in 23 games. He was then drafted by the St. Louis Scarecrows where he had 18 points this season. It seems like gucci doesn’t want to have a short career this time around like his first player, so I could see him going very high in the draft as he has shown he can max earn and has a decent bank account as well. Alexis Saint-Michel | KenitohMenara | 323 TPE | F | VAN | $48,948,000 This is user KenitohMenara’s third player in the SHL. I’m not sure if he has ever created in any other sim league, but I first encountered him as not only my teammate, but also line mate in Vancouver this season. Alexis Saint-Michel had an impressive rookie season scoring 18 goals and 20 assists. It seemed like Kobo and ASM had a great teamwork throughout the season as practically any time either one scored the other was on the assist. I’m glad I got to spend my last season in Vancouver playing with ASM. Like I mentioned KenitohMenara first created back in S48 with his player Raphael d’Alcott. Then he created again in S53 with center Santtu Rasanen. Considering neither player lasted very long I’m going to assume neither player ever made it up the SHL. Hopefully third time is the charm in this case and ASM ends up having a nice long career in the SHL. It will be interesting to see if what happened with his first two players causes ASM to fall in the draft farther than he should or if a team will believe enough in him to take him where he deserves to be drafted. Jay Sink | Memento Mori | 327 TPE | D | ANC | $12,100,000 Memento Mori is another user I’m familiar with from other sim leagues. He is one of the Orange County Otters general managers along with the next player on this list. He has done a good job at earning some cash in the SHL so far with a couple deep dive articles to help him be able to afford that top level of equipment. This season for the Anchorage Armada Jay Sink scored 7 goals and 11 assists and had an impressive +21 for his plus minus stat. He also had 73 hits and 62 shots blocked. I’m mostly just impressed with that great plus minus number for Sink. Can’t wait to see what he has planned for Deep Dive #3 and where he is drafted in the upcoming draft. Daud Ramza | Blassoon | 321 TPE | F | CAR | $16,325,000 The top of this draft is full of people I know from ISFL. Blassoon is the current general manager for the Orange County Otters and will be an excellent addition to any SHL locker room. Last season for the Kraken Daud Ramza scored 7 goals and had 16 assists. Pretty decent numbers for a rookie season. Those numbers will probably double next season is my guess. Blassoon has already shown he has the propensity to earn money in the SHL with his two recent Deep Dive articles. I’m sure if he keeps that up his bank account will be sky high by the time to buy equipment. Sekai Wolker | Gaia Mormont | 317 TPE | F | ANA | $29,146,000 Gaia Mormont is a long time SHL user. In fact, according to the forum Mormont joined way back in November of 2013. Prominently displayed on their profile page shows that Gaia Mormont was a part of Challenge Cup Championship teams in seasons 18, 34, and 38. Mormont’s first player was S17 forward Chara Brojled. Brojled was taken in the second round of the S17 draft with the seventeenth overall pick by the Seattle Riot. Brojled joined a great roster in Seattle and was a part of a Challenge Cup winning team his rookie season. That season he averaged 13:36 minutes a game and scored 2 goals and 2 assists. All in all Chara Brojled played for 12 seasons and scored a total of 160 goals and 185 assists for his career. After retiring Brojled his next player was S30 defenseman Nucky Toohoots. In the S30 SHL Entry Draft the Manhattan Rage selected Nucky Toohoots with the 12th overall selection in the first round. Toohoots was a rookie for the S31 season with Manhattan and scored 3 goals and 8 assists that season. A few seasons later he was on his second Challenge Cup winning team with the Rage where he scored 3 goals and 10 assists and had 50 shots blocked. Four seasons later Toohoots was still on the Rage as they won another Challenge Cup while Toohoots scored 5 goals and 10 assists on the season and blocked 37 shots. After that he finished his career with the Seattle Riot. Nucky Toohoots played for 12 seasons just like Chara Brojled and in his career scored 49 goals and 110 assists. He also had 255 hits and 500 blocked shots for his career. After Toohoots hung up his skates Mormont created his next player Ignatius Blunt who was a left winger for the S43 draft class. Ignatius Blunt was drafted with the 20th overall selection in the S43 SHL Entry Draft to the Winnipeg Jets in the second round. He was brought up almost immediately as S44 was his rookie season in Winnipeg where he scored 2 goals and 2 assists. Ignatius Blunt played all 14 seasons of his career in Winnipeg and he scored 149 goals and 221 assists for his career as a Winnipeg Jet. Now he is onto his next player Sekai Wolker who got drafted by the Anaheim Outlaws in the Juniors Entry Draft at 21st overall in the second round. I would not be at all surprised to see Wolker drafted first overall in the upcoming draft. Aleksandrs Balcers | Randominoe | 315 TPE | D | NLB | $18,325,000 Randominoe is another user that has been in the league a while joining a little over two years ago. Randominoe’s first player was Center Espen Knutsen Jr. from the S47 draft class. In the S47 SHL Entry Draft the Tampa Bay Barracuda selected Espen Knutsen Jr with the fourth overall pick in the draft. Unfortunately, Knutsen never played any in SHL but hopefully that will change for Randominoe with his newest player who was drafted first overall in the Juniors Entry Draft to the Newfoundland Berserkers. He had an impressive first season in Newfoundland with 11 goals and 21 assists and an incredibly high +44 plus minus stat which is just mind boggling. I’m sure Newfoundland hopes he can continue that success next season. It will be interesting to see if Randominoe’s second player will make it up to the SHL this time around and where he will be drafted. Shane Duffy Jr | LB3737 | 312 TPE | F | QCC | $12,800,000 LB3737 is one of the new users in this draft class with his player Shane Duffy Jr. and so far it looks like he’s done a good job with some deep dives and articles to get his bank account up. In fact he made such a big splash early that he was drafted in the first round of the Junior Entry Draft at tenth overall by the Quebec City Citadelles. Duffy scored 10 goals and 16 assists for the Citadelles in his rookie season, which is pretty great for someone who only played 9:40 a game. It will be interesting to see if he will get drafted in the first round again in the SHL draft. Marco Barengrub | gaby | 299 TPE | F | DET | $104,700,000 Gaby is a long time SHL member that joined back in November of 2017. Gaby’s first player was defenseman Ti-Guy Emond from the S39 draft class. With the forty eighth overall pick in the S39 SHL Entry Draft the Toronto North Stars drafted Emond in the fourth round. Emond only stayed down two seasons and was a rookie in S41 where he scored 2 goals and 6 assists for the season with 63 blocked shots. After an initial stint in Toronto Ti-Guy Emond went to play for the Seattle Riot starting in S45. He played the next season starting in Tampa Bay and also played some games in Minnesota. Not sure if he started in Tampa and was traded to Minnesota or the other way around. Considering he played all of S47 in Minnesota I’m gonna assume he started S46 in Tampa and then was traded to Minnesota. He stayed in Minnesota for quite a while until going back to Toronto in S56 for his final season. For his career he played in 17 seasons and 800 regular season games scoring 19 goals and 194 assists. He blocked 1213 shots in his career and had 2105 hits. Now his next player is a Center and if he has as long of a career as Emond did then you’ll surely be hearing the name Marco Barengrub early in the draft. He interestingly fell down to the forty second pick of the Junior Entry Draft to the Detroit Falcons who picked him in the fourth round. Maybe teams think he won’t be staying down in the Juniors for long? He scored 6 goals and 19 assists for the Falcons last season. With that massive bank account and history of a long lasting player already in the league I imagine you’ll be hearing the name Marco Barengrub in the first five picks in the draft. Robert E. O. Speedwagon | GoonerBear | 307 TPE | F | NLB | $8,000,000 GoonerBear is another long time SHL user recreating in this draft class. He joined back in March of 2018 and his first player was defenseman Reginald MacIntyre who played from S42 to S57 where he played his entire career for the Manhattan Rage. He was drafted fifth overall in the S41 SHL Entry Draft and was brought up starting in S42. He helped the Rage win the Challenge Cup back in S52. He had 89 goals and 304 assists for his career in Manhattan and also had 1429 hits and 1080 shots blocked. Speedwagon was drafted thirteenth overall in the Junior Entry Draft to the Newfoundland Berserkers at the top of the second round. He scored 4 goals and 16 assists for the Berserkers last season. I can’t fight this feeling that Speedwagon is going to be the top pick in the SHL draft. Robert Black | grimreaper | 292 TPE | F | NLB | $40,959,000 Next up is the first hall of famer among the recreates in this class and also the user that has been in the league the longest as grimreaper joined the SHL back in December of 2011. According to his awards he has two players inducted into the Hall of Fame as well as winning many Challenge Cups. His first player was S21 Hall of Fame inductee Reggie Williams who won five Challenge Cups in his career. The first two were in seasons 8 and 9 with the Calgary Dragons. The Calgary Dragons drafted Reggie Williams with the second overall pick in the S6 SHL Entry Draft. He scored 6 goals and 27 assists in S8 when the Dragons won the Challenge Cup. Williams played for Calgary through S10 and then was on the Minnesota Chiefs starting in S11. In S12 he won his third Challenge Cup as the leading scorer for the Chiefs as he put up 24 Goals and 26 Assists for the season. He played for Minnesota through S14 before moving onto Edmonton to play for the Blizzard where he won two more Challenge Cups in both S15 and S16. Aside from five Challenge Cups he also won the Jeff Dar Trophy in S12, the Damian Littleton Trophy in S8, the Sarmad Khan Trophy in S12, and the Jay McDonald Trophy in S12. It’s pretty obvious why he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. For his 14 season career he played in 707 games and scored 188 Goals, 323 Assists, and a staggering +128 Plus Minus. His next player was Right Wing Clay Parker of the S20 draft class. Surprisingly, Clay Parker fell all the way to the third round in the S20 SHL Entry Draft where the Seattle Riot drafted him with the thirty fourth overall selection. The only thing I could think of is that teams didn’t think grimreaper would stick around for many seasons so they kept passing him up even though he had a Hall of Fame player. After a couple seasons in Seattle where he didn’t do much Clay Parker went back to Minnesota in S23. He disappears from the SHL stats in S24 and S25 altogether before showing back up in S26 where he played minimal minutes for the Edmonton Blizzard. In S27 he played for the Manhattan Rage and actually got some playing time, but that was it for Clay Parker. Compared to Reggie Williams Clay Parker didn’t really do much in the SHL. All those teams that passed up on him looked really smart after looking back. He only played for 6 seasons and only scored 10 Goals and 19 Assists for his career. But grimreaper came back with a vengeance after retiring Clay Parker and created another Hall of Famer in Right Wing Ace Redding. Redding was drafted in the first round of the S31 SHL Entry Draft at ninth overall to the Manhattan Rage. He practically matched Clay Parker’s career stats in his rookie season with the Rage when he scored 7 Goals and 15 Assists. He played a large chunk of his career in Manhattan and helped the Rage win two Challenge Cups in S34 and S38. In S40 he was traded to the Edmonton Blizzard late in the season. He spent the next few seasons in Edmonton, but missed out on their Challenge Cup win in S45 as he played for Seattle and Texas that season. He finished his career in Winnipeg and retired before the S48 season. For his career he played in 849 games, scored 307 Goals, 365 Assists, a +41 plus minus, and had 2080 hits. In addition to the two Challenge Cups he also made an All-Star Team in S35, made the All Rookie Team in S31, and in S35 won the Jay McDonald Trophy, the Sergei Karpotsov Trophy, and the Sarmad Khan Trophy. It looks like after grimreaper retired Redding he took a couple years break from SHL as he didn’t recreate right away and is now back with his next player Center Robert Black. In the third round of the S28 Junior Entry Draft the Newfoundland Berserkers drafted Robert Black at twenty fifth overall. I was a bit shocked to see him fall that far, but I wonder if juniors general managers are thinking that grimreaper will want to be called up very quickly and therefore they won’t get as much use out of him. Black scored 12 goals and 14 assists for the Berserkers in his rookie campaign. Will Robert Black end up being the third Hall of Famer for grimreaper? I can’t wait to find out. Ville Kurri | SlashACM | 291 TPE | F | ANC | $30,600,099 SlashACM is another long time SHL user who has recreated for this draft class with his new Right Wing Ville Kurri. His first player was goalie Aleister Cain from the S43 draft class. In the fourth round of the S43 SHL Entry Draft the Edmonton Blizzard drafted Aleister Cain with the forty fifth overall pick. He was called up immediately and played in six games for the Blizzard his rookie season. He was the backup goalie for Edmonton in S45 when they won the Challenge Cup and then prior to S46 he was selected first overall by the New Orleans Specters in the expansion draft. He played through S57 and won the Mike Honcho award in S46. Unless I’m missing something he stayed with New Orleans for the rest of his career and was part of their S54 Challenge Cup win. Now he is onto his second player with Ville Kurri who was drafted in the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft by the Anchorage Armada at forty third overall. Kurri had 7 goals and 16 assists in his rookie season with Anchorage. An active user like SlashACM who has shown he can have a long career will surely not fall very far in the SHL draft. KEKW Kekkonen | WannabeFinn | 289 TPE | F | COL | $124,199,000 This draft class is full of either people I know from ISFL or people who have been in the league a long time. WannabeFinn is the latter as he first joined SHL back in June of 2014. He is the current general manager of the Buffalo Stampede, so we know where he will be drafted. His first player was defenseman Kari Kekkonen from the S20 draft class. In the fourth round of the S20 SHL Entry Draft the West Kendall Platoon drafted Kari Kekkonen with the thirty ninth overall selection in the draft. Kari was immediately brought up for West Kendall and had 12 assists as a rookie for the Platoon, but Kari only ended up playing two seasons before an early exit to his career after playing in 2 seasons he never did score a goal but had 16 career assists. WannabeFinn’s next player was center Kaapo Kekkonen for the S24 draft class. In the second round of the S24 SHL Entry Draft the Los Angeles Panthers selected Kaapo Kekkonen with the twentieth overall pick. Unlike his first player, Kaapo lasted a long time in the league playing for 15 seasons and scoring 153 goals and 222 assists. Kaapo played almost his entire career in Los Angeles, but was traded in S37 to the West Kendall Platoon late in the season to finish his career. After an incredibly long career with Kaapo his next player was defenseman Tatu Makela from the S38 draft class and just like Kaapo Tatu had a very long career as well playing for fourteen seasons. Weirdly Tatu Makela doesn’t appear to have been picked in the S38 SHL Entry Draft, but he first appears in the stats tables in S40 for the Buffalo Stampede. Tatu played every season of his career with the Buffalo Stampede and retired after the S53 season. During that time he was a part of two Challenge Cup winning teams in Buffalo in both S46 and S48. Tatu ended his career with 87 goals, 332 assists, a +53 plus minus, 1256 hits, and 990 blocked shots. His next player was Kolja Kekkonen who didn’t last long as he has already recreated again for the S59 class with his current player KEKW Kekkonen. KEKW was drafted third overall in the S58 Juniors Entry Draft by the Colorado Raptors. In his first season he scored 11 goals and 15 assists for the Raptors. How long will he play for Colorado before calling himself up to play for Buffalo? Kappa Kappa | xTri | 297 TPE | D | QCC | $7,550,000 Kappa Kappa is the first player from user xTri. In the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Quebec City Citadelles selected Kappa Kappa with the seventeenth overall selection. Every time I read his name I want to add an extra Kappa like a fraternity or a sorority name. He scored five goals and 20 assists for the Citadelles last season while adding 75 hits and 30 blocked shots. He doesn’t have a ton of money in his bank account currently, and it doesn’t look like he has ever written any media or done any graphics, but he’ll need to do something soon in order to afford that top tier equipment in the offseason. Miguel Hefeweizen | ZootTX | 301 TPE | F | MET | $17,589,000 The hefeweizen used to be my favorite style of beer. Now I am more of an IPA guy, but I still enjoy the occasional hefeweizen. New user ZootTX must really like them as he named his player Miguel Hefeweizen. He was drafted in the first round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft by the Maine Timber with the fifth overall selection. During the season he scored 8 goals and 13 assists for the Timber. It looks like ZootTX has written a couple of Deep Dives to bolster his fledgling bank account, which is always good to see from a new user. Hopefully they have some hefeweizens on tap wherever ZootTX gets drafted to in the SHL. Sven Svechnikov | steveoiscool | 297 TPE | D | VAN | $25,312,000 Here we come to another one of my teammates in Vancouver and he is another great new addition to the team from this draft class. The general managers in Vancouver really hit it out of the park with their picks in the S58 draft as they brought in both ASM and Sven Svechnikov. Steveoiscool is a new user to the SHL and has already made a solace with all the media he has written so far. You love to see enthusiasm like that out of new users. The Whalers drafted him in the third round of the draft with the thirtieth overall selection. That’s some good value right there. In his first season in Vancouver he scored 7 goals and 15 assists while also recording 74 hits and 12 blocked shots. I won’t be surprised at all to see Sven drafted early in the SHL draft with how his career has started. Fedor Sotakov | sota | 291 TPE | F | COL | $19,544,000 Sota is another brand new user to the SHL with his first player Left Winger Fedor Sotakov. With the second overall pick in the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Colorado Raptors selected Sotakov. Obviously they saw something in him as a new user to want to pick him that early in the draft. As you might be able to tell from his bank account he is a consistent media participant writing articles quite frequently. Fedor scored 13 goals and 16 assists for the Raptors last season. While he might not go as high as second overall in the SHL draft I would not be surprised to see Sotakov’s name early on in the draft with how great of a start he has had. Pasta the Turtle | visceralpotamus | 296 TPE | D | NLB | $14,651,000 We may have a first here in the SHL with a turtle playing hockey. Pasta the Turtle is the first player for new user visceralpotamus and he was drafted at the back of the third round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft by the Newfoundland Berserkers at thirty sixth overall. As a turtle Pasta may be a bit slower and I appreciate that of the Physical Attributes he has a lower Speed than any of the other ratings other than Fighting. I hope this continues throughout his career. Pasta scored 3 goals and 9 assists in his first season in Newfoundland and also had 123 hits and 58 blocked shots. Visceralpotamus has been putting out some media in order to make some money in the league which is always a good sign. I look forward to following the career of the first ever turtle in the SHL. Ethan Bouchard | fever95 | 295 TPE | D | STL | $45,477,000 Fever95 is another user that has been in the league for a long time. In fact he first joined back in December of 2011 according to his profile page. Even more impressively he is a three time Hall of Famer in the SHL. His first player was Goalie John McBride who was drafted in the fifth round of the S5 SHL Entry Draft by the Winnipeg Jets at forty eighth overall. He played his entire career with the Jets and helped them win the Challenge Cup in S7. He had an award named after him for being the top Goaltender and won it six times. He also won the Mike Honcho Trophy four times and the Anton Razov Trophy once. He ended his career with 213 wins and a 0.915 save percentage. His next player was Center Carter O’Callahan who was drafted third overall in the S14 SHL Entry Draft by the New England Wolfpack. He played for the Wolfpack for the first ten seasons of his career. Then he spent the next three seasons playing for the Seattle Riot. He then played a season for the Buffalo Stampede, a season for the Hamilton Steelhawks, and his final season for the Los Angeles Panthers. He won the Challenge Cup in S23, which was his last season with the Wolfpack. He won the Ron Mexico Trophy once, won the Turd Ferguson Trophy twice, the Jeff Dar Trophy once, the Damian Littleton Trophy twice, the Sarmad Khan Trophy once, the Sergei Karpotsov Trophy once, and the Jay McDonald Trophy once. Interestingly he won a lot of those trophies in S19, but didn’t make an All-Star team that season. Carter O’Callahan finished his career playing in 809 regular season games with 268 goals, 385 assists, a +51 plus minus, 2689 hits, and 181 blocked shots. After retiring his second hall of fame player fever95 recreated another goalie this time named Artom Zhumbayev. In the S35 SHL Entry Draft the Winnipeg Jets drafted Artom Zhumbayev at ninth overall. Artom stayed with the Jets his entire career and helped them win the Challenge Cup in S44. He won the Mike Honcho Trophy once, the John McBride Trophy twice (the award his first player is named after), and the Anton Ravoz Trophy once. He finished his career with 233 wins and a 0.908 save percentage. Now with an incredible three Hall of Fame players under his belt fever95 recreated as Left Winger and Chicago native Noah Gallagher. In the S47 SHL Entry Draft the Winnipeg Jets selected Noah Gallagher with the twelfth overall pick in the draft. Fever95 obviously has a long history with the Jets at this point, so it makes sense that they would draft his next player. Unlike Artom though Noah didn’t stay in Winnipeg for his entire career. In fact after only two seasons he got traded to the Minnesota Chiefs where he played the majority of his career. The Chiefs had a rebranding to the Monarchs the last two seasons of Gallagher’s career, but other than that minor change he stayed in Minnesota for the rest of his career. Noah Gallagher played for 11 seasons and scored 151 goals and 160 assists in his career. With basically no playoff success and no individual awards for Gallagher I think this is fever95’s first player that won’t be a Hall of Famer. Now he is onto his fifth player in the league in Ethan Bouchard the defenseman for the St. Louis Scarecrows. With the sixth pick in the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the St. Louis Scarecrows picked Ethan Bouchard. Last season he had 5 goals and 7 assists as well as 57 hits and 24 blocked shots. I don’t really need to say much more about fever95. He is obviously one of the top users in the league and if I had the top pick in the draft I would absolutely be drafting him unless he expressed no interest in playing for my team. Jack Micro | WildfireMicro | 294 TPE | F | ANA | $13,349,997 WildfireMicro is a user I recognize from one of the recent ISFL drafts. I remember having a great scouting conversation with him. It looks like this is his third recent attempt at creating a player in the SHL after the first two attempts didn’t go very well. His first player was S55 Center Travish Mann who he quickly retired and then created S56 Goalie David Danielson, but at some point WildfireMicro had to go inactive and also retired that player pretty early on. Now he has created his third player and hopefully first long time successful player in Right Wing Jack Micro. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Anaheim Outlaws selected Jack Micro with the fifty fourth pick in the draft. In his first season in Anaheim Micro had seven assists in limited play time, but did manage 21 hits and 32 shots blocked. I’m sure many SHL general managers will be hesitant to draft Micro after the history with his first two players and the worry that he will go inactive again, but I honestly think that this time will be different for him. He has already shown he can keep up with the top end of the draft class as he isn’t far behind the leader at all. Jack Micro probably won’t be drafted until at earliest the end of the second round if not later, but I won’t be surprised when it’s all said and done he ends up being one of the biggest steals of the draft class. Evgeni Petrov | RenoJacksonHS | 294 TPE | G | NLB | $8,325,000 RenoJacksonHS recently celebrated his one year anniversary in the SHL and now he has joined the Petrov cult with Goalie Evgeni Petrov. His first player was another goalie in Alexsander Rokokstkov of the S56 draft class, but he never went very far with that player before recreating as another goalie in Petrov. In the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Newfoundland Berserkers drafted Evgeni Petrov at fifteenth overall. He played in 21 games last season and had a 14-6 record with a 0.894 save percentage. RenoJacksonHS seems to be earning well with this player, but will his history with his last player tank his draft stock? I have a feeling he will fall pretty far, but that’s also because he’s a goalie. Bob Duncan | Dagumpa | 293 TPE | F | ANA | $10,165,000 Dagumpa is definitely a sim league name I recognize, but without doing a search in ISFL and PBE I can’t say for certain where I recognize it from. This is his first foray into SHL with Center Bob Duncan. In the third round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Anaheim Outlaws selected Bob Duncan at thirty third overall. He scored 9 goals and 12 assists his rookie season for the Outlaws. Dagumpa has already been posting multiple media pieces to boost that bank account too. I have a feeling that Duncan could sneak into the first round or early second round with his connections in other leagues. Jack Nishimori | qWest | 292 TPE | F | COL | $13,975,000 qWest is definitely a sim league name I recognize and it looks like Left Wing Jack Nishimori is his first SHL player. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Colorado Raptors selected Jack Nishimori with the forty ninth overall pick in the draft. Nishimori had a pretty good rookie season scoring 4 goals and 13 assists. He has well outperformed his draft position as he is tied for 22nd most TPE in the class, but didn’t get drafted until 49th in the class. That’s good value for the Raptors. qWest posted a few deep dives and double draft media to make some extra cash after he created. This is another one of those guys that I think will fall past his TPE value in the draft and end up being a great pick for whatever team picks him. Angus McFife XVIII | micool132 | 298 TPE | D | NBB | $48,150,000 My first question is did all 17 Angus McFife’s prior to this Angus McFife play hockey? Was hockey even around when the first Angus McFife was alive? Even if an Angus McFife is born every 15 years there is no way that the original Angus played hockey as it wasn’t invented until 1875 and Angus was probably born in the 1600s at some point. I’m just impressed at how long this name has been passed down. Anyway, back to our current Angus McFife who was a recreate from long time SHL user micooh132. His first player was defenseman Toki Wartooth from the S20 draft class. In the second round of the S20 SHL Entry Draft the Toronto North Stars selected Toki Wartooth with the twenty first overall pick in the draft. Toki had a nice long SHL career playing for 16 seasons total. From a quick glance at a few of the player stats for some of the seasons he played Wartooth stayed with the Toronto North Stars for his entire career. He finally reached the promised land in his last season and won a Challenge Cup with Toronto in S35 before hanging up his skates for good. Toki Wartooth played in 765 career games and scored 28 goals, 181 assists, had a +23 career plus minus, 1153 hits, and 858 shots blocked. After retiring Tokie micool132 took a long break from the SHL for what seems to be about four IRL years between posting he was gonna step away and creating his second player Left Winger Nathan Explosion. In the third round of the S46 SHL Entry Draft the San Francisco Pride used the thirty third overall pick to select Nathan Explosion in the draft. Explosion played for the first major part of his career in San Francisco before playing in Winnipeg for S55. Then he finished his career in Atlanta for three seasons. Nathan Explosion played for 11 total seasons and 582 games and scored 123 goals, 146 assists, a -50 career plus minus, 1429 hits, and 143 blocked shots. This time he isn’t taking a break between players and has created a defenseman in Angus McFife XVIII. With the seventh pick in the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Colorado Raptors selected Angus McFife XVIII. In his first season in Colorado Angus scored 5 goals, 15 assists, had 66 hits, and 23 shots blocked. Micool132 is another premier SHL user that has recreated for this draft class which makes it really hard to make a good mock while trying to figure out where all of this big time users will get drafted. Salzberger Lillehammersson | NorwegianDemon | 291 TPE | F | DET | $80,650,000 NorwegianDemon has been around the SHL for over 3 in real life years now and is recreating with the mouthful of a name in Salzberger Lillehammersson. This will be his second player in the SHL as he recently retired his first player, Center Anders Christiansen from the S39 draft class. In the third round of the S39 SHL Entry Draft the Toronto North Stars selected Anders Christiansen with the forty second overall pick in the draft. He made his rookie debut for the North Stars in S42 where he scored 10 goals and 16 assists. Anders played for the North Stars all the way through S47 and then in S48 after playing in 36 games the North Stars traded Christiansen to the New England Wolfpack. Anders was on the Wolfpack through S54 and then in S55 played for the Calgary Dragons. He played for two seasons in Calgary before heading down south to Atlanta to play for the Inferno where he played the last two seasons of his career. All in all Anders Christiansen played for 18 seasons and in 882 games and scored 249 goals, 435 assists, and a +151 career plus minus. An impressive career, and now NorwegianDemon has decided to go with a right wing for his next player in Lillehammersson. In the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Detroit Falcons selected Salzberger Lillehammersson with the twentieth overall pick in the draft. Salzberger actually played Left Wing for Detroit last season and scored 12 goals and 9 assists for the season. NorwegianDemon is another excellent long time SHL user that has shown they can maintain a player for a very long successful career and I can’t imagine seeing his name past the halfway point in the first round of the draft. Cormac Ponaire | wumaduce | 300 TPE | F | CAR | $13,645,002 Cormac Ponaire is the fourth player from user wumaduce. His first player was a Left Winger appropriately named Wuma Duce from the S38 draft class. In the third round of the S38 SHL Entry Draft the Texas Renegades selected Wuma Duce with the thirty eighth overall pick in the draft. S41 was his rookie season with the Renegades and he had 5 goals and 12 assists that season. He started S42 in Seattle but finished the season for the Minnesota Chiefs, presumably getting traded after signing with Seattle in free agency. One more season with the Chiefs and Wuma called it quits. He played in four seasons and 153 games and scored 13 goals and 22 assists for his career. His next player was Center Derek Bohne from the S44 draft class. In the first round of the S44 SHL Entry Draft the Minnesota Chiefs selected Derek Bohne with the eighth overall pick in the draft. Interesting that he went back to Minnesota after just retiring from there. Derek Bohne was a rookie for Minnesota in S46 and also played for them in S47, but then retired early again. He only played for two seasons and 100 games and scored 19 goals and 25 assists. It didn’t take long for wumaduce to come back with his third player Derek Bohne Jr this time a defenseman from the S49 draft class. In the first round of the S49 SHL Entry Draft the Toronto North Stars selected Derek Bohne Jr with the thirteenth overall pick in the draft. I’m kind of shocked after his first two players didn’t really do much of anything that a team still wanted to draft him in the first round. Despite being drafted by the North Stars of Toronto Derek Bohne Jr. made his SHL debut playing for the Manhattan Rage in S52 where he scored 2 goals, 4 assists, 90 hits, and 49 blocked shots. The Rage also won the Challenge Cup that season while he was a rookie. After three seasons in Manhattan he moved to Baltimore in S55 and then played for New Orleans in S56 and S57 when he retired. Bohne Jr did last quite a bit longer than Bohne did playing in 6 seasons and 316 games with 7 goals, 31 assists, 329 hits, and 397 blocked shots for his career. Now wumaduce has moved onto his fourth player left wing Cormac Ponaire. In the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Carolina Kraken selected Comrac Ponaire with the twenty fourth overall pick in the draft. He scored 3 goals and had 11 assists for the Kraken last season. With how deep this draft class is I will be surprised if Cormac Ponaire is selected in the first round when teams can assume they will at best get about 6 seasons out of him. Eero Makela | Gifter of Bikes | 292 TPE | D | NBB | $45,918,790 Here we go again with another long time user in the SHL. Gifter of Bikes has been around since December of 2011. I wonder if he actually gifts people bikes? If my research is correct then Gifter of Bikes first player was Christoph Klose, a left winger from way back in the S6 draft class. In the second round of the S6 SHL Entry Draft the Minnesota Chiefs selected Christoph Klose with the fifteenth overall pick in the draft. As a rookie for the Chiefs he had 9 goals and 15 assists. In S10 Klose helped Minnesota win their first Challenge Cup. He played for the Calgary Dragons starting in S11 and then in S12 he started the season with the Hamilton Steelhawks before being traded to the Las Vegas Kings. In S13 he won the Jeff Dar Trophy. He was with the Kings for a few seasons and then went to play for the Seattle Riot starting in S15 where he finished his career. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in S18. He played for 10 total seasons and 459 games and scored 190 goals, 234 assists, and a +93 career plus minus. His next player was goalie Dustin Rose of the S16 draft class. I was confused because I didn’t see Dustin Rose in the S16 SHL Entry Draft, but that’s because Gifter of Bikes had become the General Manager of the Seattle Riot back in S14 and he stayed the GM of the Riot all the way until S30, so Dustin Rose was automatically a member of the Riot. The Riot won a Challenge Cup in S18 which was obviously very early on in Roses career. Rose played for 8 seasons and ended with a record of 175-125 in his career. Center Jack Burton was his next player and he was in the S24 class, so like Rose he was an automatic player for the Seattle Riot. Jack Burton played for the Riot until S35 when he was traded near the end of the season to the Buffalo Stampede. From there he played a few more seasons and then in S38 early in the season he got traded to the West Kendall Platoon. In S39 he played for the New England Wolfpack and he spent two seasons there before retiring. He played for an impressive 18 seasons and 802 games and scored 141 goals, 285 assists, a +46 plus minus, 1506 hits, and 752 shots blocked. After Jack Burton retired it looks like Gifter of Bikes took an extended absence from the league and went a few years without posting. But then miraculously out of nowhere he created Defenseman Eero Makela for the S59 class. This was a big deal in the league as you can see from the 2018 views on his creation page and the 29 replies he got. Long time SHL users were all excited to see Gifter of Bikes back. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Nevada Battleborn selected Eero Makela with the fifty third overall pick in the draft. I’m pretty surprised he fell this far. Maybe they aren’t sure if he is going to stay active after such a long absence or maybe they think he will quickly be called up to the SHL. Either way I think this is a great value for the Battleborn at that spot. He had 3 goals, 8 assists, 121 hits, and 16 shots blocked last season. At some point there are going to be more first round value picks than first round picks in this draft, but add Eero Makela to that list. Slavakov Vladimirashenko | Minnesotafine | 289 TPE | F | COL | $6,050,000 I breathe in a sigh of relief as I realize that Minnesotafine is a new user and this is his first player. Slavakov Vladimirashenko is a Right Wing and in the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Newfoundland Berserkers selected him with the forty seventh overall pick. He might have an overly long name, but he scored 3 goals and 14 assists last season for the Berserkers. He doesn’t have a ton of money right now, but he has posted a few Deep Dives as well as a few other articles, so he has some money coming in, which is always good. From the articles he’s written that I’ve read he seems to be very passionate about the league and he’ll be a great addition to whatever team ends up drafting him. Aleks Blixtstrom | Exilate | 287 TPE | F | CAR | $10,650,000 Exilate is another new SHL user that I recognize from the ISFL. We were actually hoping he might fall to us with our third round pick in the draft, but he went about 9 picks before that. He has also joined the SHL and has created a Left Wing in Aleks Blixstrom. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Carolina Kraken selected Aleks Blixtstrom with the thirty ninth overall pick in the draft. Aleks scored 15 goals and 9 assists last season for the Kraken. From what I’ve seen of Exilate in ISFL he is a great user and any team will be happy to add him to their locker room. Janis Lux | Lukstins88 | 285 TPE | F | ANC | $11,500,000 Now we are on a roll with new users to the SHL this time with Lukstins88 with his first player Left Winger Janis Lux. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Anchorage Armada selected Janis Lux with the fifty ninth overall pick in the draft. He scored 10 goals and 12 assists his rookie season for the Armada. He’s been bolstering his bank account each week with that nice Twitter pay, which has basically paid for his Training each week. Robot Sunfish | yonggarius | 285 TPE | F | VAN | $10,393,000 The first thing I did when I started writing this section up for yonggarius is read his article on The origins of Robot Sunfish and I just have to say that was a great read. Highly recommend everyone go and check it out. While I have never really interacted with him much I know yonggarius from ISFL as one of the leading WRs in the league right now as William Lim of the Colorado Yeti. In SHL he has created a Right Wing in Robot Sunfish. In the fourth round of the Juniors Entry Draft the Vancouver Whalers selected Robot Sunfish with the forty fifth overall pick in the draft. Last season he scored 9 goals and 14 assists for the Whalers. It was a pleasure being his teammate for my last season in Vancouver. Lebron Brady | Jackers41 | 281 TPE | F | STL | $17,782,000 Jackers41 is a new user to the SHL and his first player is Right Winger Lebron Brady. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the St. Louis Scarecrows selected Lebron Brady with the thirty eighth overall pick in the draft. He had a pretty good rookie season for the Scarecrows scoring 9 goals and 22 assists on the season. Go look at Jackers41 Topics and you’ll immediately see why his bank account is looking pretty nice. He has been consistently writing articles. He keeps that level up and he might find himself sneaking up on teams draft boards. Kou Saotome | Jiggly_333 | 278 TPE | D | KEL | $4,255,000 Jiggly_333 is a very controversial sim user at least from what I’ve seen mostly in ISFL. Their love of the unrealistically proportioned anime art has given them somewhat of a reputation at least in the ISFL. Jiggly’s first player was Dakota Reid from the S36 draft class. In the second round of the S36 SHL Entry Draft the Toronto North Stars selected Dakota Reid with the twenty eighth pick in the draft. Reid’s rookie season was in S38 and ended up with the San Francisco Pride somehow. Reid spent her entire career playing for San Francisco and ended up playing in 11 seasons and 550 games with 73 goals, 97 assists, a -101 career plus minus, 1414 hits, and 78 shots blocked. Jiggly’s next player was Right Winger Raquel Castillo Gutierrez from the S49 draft class. In the third round of the S49 SHL Entry Draft the New Orleans Specters drafted Raquel Castillo Gutierrez with the forty fourth pick in the draft. This was also the last pick in the draft after many teams had passed. This is what I call the Jiggly effect. Raquel Castillo Gutierrez only ended up playing two seasons in the SHL, both for the Specters. At that point Gutierrez entered free agency, but didn’t get any offers or maybe got one that got rescinded due to no roster space? Either way, Gutierrez called it quits at that point and Jiggly took a break from the league. Now Jiggly is back with Right Winger Kou Saotome. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Kelowna Knights drafted Kou Saotome with the fortieth overall pick in the draft. Kou scored 6 goals and 4 assists as a rookie for Kelowna. Despite being a controversial figure in sim leagues Jiggly is a great earner. Will Kou Saotome like Raquel Castillo Gutierrez fall to the last pick in the draft or will a team give her a shot since Jiggly has shown that max earning isn’t difficult? Granny PanPan | GrannyPanPan | 271 TPE | D | CAR | $7,850,000 I have just discovered my new favorite profile picture in all of sim leagues and it is that of new SHL user GrannyPanPan. If you haven’t seen if first of all my brief description won’t do it justice, but you should go find it. It is an elderly woman with the most neutral expression on her face holding a hand gun with both hands. It is the combination of the empty facial expression and the gun that just cracks me up. Granny PanPan is a defenseman in this draft class. Granny PanPan signed up after the S58 Juniors Entry Draft, so instead of getting drafted she signed with a Juniors team and that ended up being the Carolina Kraken. Last season for the Kraken Granny PanPan scored 8 goals and 13 assists. Can you just imagine an elderly woman scoring a goal and fist pumping around all of these young hockey players. I’m cracking up just thinking about it. Shirakami Fubuki | Emiko | 270 TPE | F | ANA | $19,426,000 Emiko has been around the league for a while and Center Takehiko Yukimura was their first player in the league back in S44. Yukimura was supposed to be in S44 SHL Entry Draft, but I don’t see her listed anywhere on the draft page. It doesn’t look like Takehikok ended up ever playing any games in the SHL. Then Emiko created again with a goalie in the S48 class named Emiko Spector. In the second round of the S48 SHL Entry Draft the Tampa Bay Barracudas selected Emiko Spector at seventeenth overall in the draft. In S50 Emiko started 7 games for the Barracudas. Then in S52 Emiko played in 20 games for the Edmonton Blizzard and that is where Emiko spent the rest of their career. Emiko played for 9 seasons and 243 games and had a win loss record of 243-154. Now Emiko has recreated as Right Winger Shirakami Fubuki. Fubuki signed with the Anaheim Outlaws and scored 7 goals and 9 assists last season. Will the Edmonton Blizzard try and draft Emiko’s next player or will another team be grabbing Shirakami Fubuki? Videl Valor | ValorX77 | 270 TPE | F | ANA | $16,500,000 Valor is another long time sim user that I have had some interaction with in both ISFL and PBE. Usually a very good earner, but I think his personality sometimes rubs people the wrong way maybe? That’s purely speculation. The one negative thing I see with his time in SHL is that this is already his third player and his first was a S50 player. So he has had a couple of unsuccessful players so far in his career. His first player was defenseman Ryan Leaf Jr from the S50 draft class. He never made it anywhere though and his next player was S55 Right Winger Videl Satan. Satan also was not able to stay active and never got drafted in the SHL. It looks like that trend might have changed this time around as Videl Valor is earning TPE very well and he is staying active. Valor signed with the Anaheim Outlaws after he recreated and scored 6 goals and 7 assists this season. I think he will probably fall in the draft mostly due to his history with his first two players, but I think this time around Valor is going to make it worth the time for whatever team gives him a shot. Julian Kazarine | tcookie | 270 TPE | F | MET | -$1,380,000 Julian Kazarine is the first player for new user tcookie. Kazarine is a right wing and in the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Maine Timber picked him with the twenty second overall pick in the draft. Last season he scored 7 goals and 10 assists for the Timber. Tcookie seems to be doing a great job at earning TPE so far, but hasn’t done anything to make money which is why they have a negative balance in their account. I feel like there is a rookie task that can quickly get some money if they are still eligible to do that they definitely should. Arturs Tumovs | arturs33 | 269 TPE | D | ANA | $8,550,000 Arturs33 is another new user to the SHL and his first player is defenseman Arturs Tumovs. In the third round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Anaheim Outlaws selected Arturs Tumovs with the twenty eighth overall pick in the draft. Last season he scored 7 goals, 18 assists, 86 hits, and 109 shots blocked for the Outlaws. A very productive first season. Arturs33 has posted a few additional items to make some money. Podan Podanovic | podzilla111 | 268 TPE | G | DET | $7,025,000 The first thing you notice when you see Podan Podanovic is his awesome mohawk. The incredible thing is that when he takes his helmet off after a period you will see his mohawk still standing straight up like it always does. I don’t know how he does it, but I must find out. Podzilla is a new user to the SHL only joining back in the beginning of February. Podan Podanovic is a goalie and signed with the Detroit Falcons after the draft. He played in 10 games for Detroit last season and had a 6-1 record with a 0.911 Save Percentage. Goalie is a loaded position it seems so he might fall pretty far in the draft, but he definitely has potential to be a late round steal. Scooby Doo | R_C_S | 264 TPE | F | STL | $4,200,000 Everyone knows who Scooby Doo the cartoon dog is, but did you know he is also a professional hockey player. He is a Center from first time user R_C_S, which I will now shorten to RCS to make it easier to type. In the third round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the St. Louis Scarecrows drafted Scooby Doo with the twenty sixth pick in the draft. He scored 10 goals and 15 assists for the Scarecrows last season. Do you think Scooby has four skates and holds the hockey stick in his mouth? RCS hasn’t posted any media articles or deep dives yet, but still has a bit in his bank account due to getting a big chunk from a recruitment milestone claim. That won’t last him much longer once the 1M training opens up for him, so he needs to find another way to earn money soon. Janne Virtanen | Deng | 262 TPE | D | MET | $20,700,000 Deng is a user who has been around the league for a little while and this will be his second player in the league. His first player was Right Wing Boris Denisovich from the S42 draft class. In the second round of the S42 SHL Entry Draft the Hamilton Steelhawks selected Boris Denisovich with the eighteenth overall pick in the draft. Boris debuted in the SHL in S45 for the Seattle Riot, which became the Tampa Bay Barracuda the next season. He played in Tampa until S49 when he went to play for the West Kendall Platoon where he finished his career playing through S51. He played for 7 seasons and 350 games and scored 77 goals, 88 assists, a -63 career plus minus, 858 hits, and 61 blocked shots. Deng took a break from the league after that for a while and has now recreated as defenseman Janne Virtanen. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Maine Timber selected Janne Virtanen with the forty eighth overall pick in the draft. While it wasn’t super long Deng had a solid first career and is earning well with his second player and has a decent chunk of cash in the bank. Look to see his name called in the second or third round of the draft. Benjamin Blue II | BoucherFan12 | 257 TPE | G | $12,520,000 As the name suggests this is the second Benjamin Blue that BoucherFan12 has created in the SHL. The first Benjamin Blue was also a goalie and was from the S41 draft class. There was also a brief initial attempt in the S37 draft class, but that Benjamin Blue never materialized. In the first round of the S41 SHL Entry Draft the Seattle Riot selected Benjamin Blue with the eleventh overall pick in the draft. He played in three games for the Seattle Riot in S42 as one of two backup goalies for Seattle. He got up to 16 games started in S44 for the Riot and then in S45 he was the lead goalie for Seattle starting in 37 games. He stayed with the franchise as they moved to Tampa Bay the next season. Blue played for Tampa Bay all the way through S53 and then played for the New England Wolfpack in S54, but he found himself back in Tampa for S55 which ended up being his last season. Benjamin Blue played for 15 seasons and 497 games with a win loss record of 207-241. Now BoucherFan12 has recreated with Benjamin Blue II who is another Goalie. In the second round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Kelowna Knights selected Benjamin Blue II with the sixteenth overall pick in the draft. He started in 18 games for the Knights last season and had a 13-4 record and a 0.905 save percentage. BoucherFan12 has already shown he can have a very long career as a goalie, so I imagine he will probably be the first goalie off the board in this draft. Will Tampa draft him again as he basically spent his entire first career there, or will he be playing somewhere else with Blue II? Valdis Vejonis | BoloBill | 256 TPE | D | ANC | $13,175,000 BoloBill is a brand new user to the SHL and he has created his first player defenseman Valdis Vejonis. He signed with the Anchorage Armada after creating scored 4 goals and 8 assists for the Armada last season. He also had 63 hits and 51 shots blocked. BoloBill has already written a couple of deep dives as well as done some graphics to boost his bank account. I look forward to seeing how his career progresses. AJ Tirrell | FnoRespect | 253 TPE | D | ANA | $4,396,000 FnoRespect is a username that I recognize from other leagues, but not sure from where. He has created in the SHL with his first player, defenseman AJ Tirrell. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Anaheim Outlaws selected AJ Tirrell with the forty fourth overall pick in the draft. He scored 10 goals and 18 assists as well as 66 hits and 31 blocked shots for the Outlaws last season. While he doesn’t have much money right now he has written a few articles and deep dives, so assuming he keeps that up he should be find for money. Gino Lombardo | pat | 253 TPE | D | CAR | $9,750,000 Pat is a great ISFL user and also GM of the Philadelphia Liberty. I’ve always had great conversations with him as a fellow GM in ISFL. He has now joined the SHL and has created a defenseman in Gino Lombardo. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Carolina Kraken selected Gino Lombardo with the fifty first overall pick in the draft. He scored 6 goals and 9 assists as well as 63 hits and 50 blocked shots for the Kraken last season. He might not quite be a max earner in the SHL, but I think pat is a great addition to any locker room and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go in the second round. Shaq O’Neal | aidenmiz | 252 TPE | F | MET | $4,700,000 Can you imagine someone that is the size of Shaq playing hockey? He is such a massive human that he would cause issues all over the ice. His hockey stick would be much longer than Chara’s too. New user aidenmiz has decided to find out what Shaq can do on the ice as a right wing. In the fourth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Maine Timber selected Shaq O’Neal with the forty sixth pick in the draft. He scored 5 goals and 9 assists for the Timber last season. Aidenmiz hasn’t done any media yet, but I am really interested to see how Shaq’s career in the SHL unfolds. Big Boss | HabsFan6776 | 252 TPE | F | QCC | $9,800,000 Big Boss is a left wing from new user HabsFan6776. I was hoping when I saw his name that his render would be the Metal Gear character, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. In the fifth round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Quebec City Citadelles selected Big Boss with the sixtieth pick in the draft. He scored 3 goals and 7 assists his first season in Quebec City. HabsFan6776 has posted a Deep Dive, but hasn’t posted any media since then, but he currently has a decent amount in the bank. Sabarro Torretta | santej29 | 250 TPE | D | NLB | $2,266,000 The next defenseman on the list is Sabarro Torretta from new user santej29. In the third round of the S58 Juniors Entry Draft the Newfoundland Berserkers selected Sabarro Torretta with the thirty second pick in the draft. He scored 6 goals and 15 assists as well as 98 hits and 7 blocked shots for the Berserkers last season. He did take advantage of double draft media last season, so hopefully he does again this season as his bank account is getting pretty low. Makrus “The Tater” Jager | taterswc | 250 TPE | D | VAN | $12,725,000 The final player I’m going to go over is from another new user in taterswc. He has created as Center Makrus “The Tater” Jager and was signed to the Vancouver Whalers since he created after the draft. He scored 3 assists last season in limited action, but also had 19 hits and 26 blocked shots. He has done a good job of earning money so far with multiple deep dives posted and it looks like he might be recording a podcast soon, which is exciting. As I mentioned Makrus was the last player I was going to go over. I decided to make the cut off 250 TPE as of the time I am writing this. There are almost 30 players still in the draft class that I didn’t cover here, but I am frankly a bit worn out from all this writing and need a break. It was really fun to see all the big time users that have recreated for this draft class and go over all their histories. I can’t wait to see how the draft unfolds. ![]() ![]() Media Graders Loveable Buttnugget ![]() Registered Cool guy ![]() Registered ambacas ![]() Registered Senior Member |
