Nevada Leadership and Management Announcement
#1

Well let me get this out of the way first. As we enter into Season 59, there has been some changes here in Nevada. As I'm sure most of you are aware the great Nokazoa has decided to step down from his position as co-gm. It's definitely a sad time in Nevada but everybody in the organization sends him off with love and best wishes for all his future endeavors. So with that being said, it is my pleasure to announce myself, W19eaver (or just Weaver if it pleases your fancy), as the great Noka's replacement. It is a great honor to be chosen and I plan on working my tail off in trying to bring a 4 Star Cup to Nevada as soon as possible.

Alrighty now that little bit of business is out of the way, let me get to the main reason I'm typing this today, to announce the S59 Nevada Battleborn leadership group.

Captain - Rob Wright (@Snuffalupagus)

Rob Wright was the Nevada Battleborn's 1st round pick, 2nd overall, in the S56 SMJHL draft. This beast of man, standing 6'5" tall, from Drobak, Norway, hasn't busted out offensively for Nevada yet but has put up a respectable 52 points throughout his first 3 seasons for the Battleborn. He's a bruising force out on that ice, leading the team in hits last season with 143. Most of all though, he's a locker room gem. When asked to provide a quote about him being named captain this is what he had to say, "Die fast, Live Hard" *mic drops*

Alternate Captain - Rude Sniff (@Dude)

Rude Sniff was the Nevada Battleborn's 2nd round pick, 24th overall, in the S56 SMJHL draft. This 6'0" tall, 200 lb, Japanese defensemen was a shot generator on Nevada's backend last season, leading Battleborn defensemen with 173 shots, while also having an outstanding 42/18 takeaway/giveaway ratio. He's already on way to eclipse his career high of 29 points, with 4 points through only 6 games into Season 59. When asked to provide a quote about him being named alternate captain this is what he had to say, "(Nothing as of this publication)"

Alternate Captain - Eero Makela (@Gifter of Bikes)

Eero Makela was the Nevada Battleborn's 5th round pick, 53rd overall, in the S58 SMJHL draft. Eero is a 6'3", 217 lb, defensemen from Tampere, Finland. In his rookie season he went on and scored 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points, while also coming 3rd on this team in hits with 121. With a bigger role coming into his sophomore season, big things are expected of this young defensemen. When asked to provide a quote about him being named alternate captain this is what he had to say, "It's an absolute honor to be selected by my teammates. I may not be the most vocal guy, but I always try to lead by example on and off the ice, and the guys in the locker room know that they can reach out to me at any time for anything."
