Star-Light: S59 Simulation Day 19
#1

Good morning, Star Gang! It is I, your Keyboard Warrior, here to bring you the day it was in the Simulation Hockey League. Now stop me if you've heard this one before: the Toronto North Stars start the day two points behind the Buffalo Stampede and are still looking to get into a playoff position. We have three games on today's slate--the New England Wolfpack, the Baltimore Platoon, and the Atlanta Inferno. Should be a few good games here, not let us get down to the nitty-gritty.

The first game saw the Toronto North Stars, our beautiful boys in blue, take a trip down to New England for some chowder and to put the boots to the Wolfpack six to two. Toronto shot the puck at a machine-gun pace putting fifty-six shots on goal to the Wolfpacks seventeen. Hits were close, but the Wolfpack took the edge twenty to eighteen. Luffy Richard showed up to earn a plus-one and put a shot on goal, as well as using his body to stop two shots, and lay out the opposition for three hits. Good for you, Luffy, at least the other team noticed you were there.

The next game was a closer affair as the Baltimore Platoon marched into Toronto only to lose to the North Stars three to one. Both teams had a high amount of shots but the North Stars took the lead there with forty-eight to Baltimore's thirty-nine. The Platoon took the body and out hit the North Stars twenty-eight to sixteen. Luffy Richard decided to cough the puck up twice--what a scrub--had himself a shot on goal and one hit. Nice try out there, roommate! I'm sure your coaches will not be pissed that you cannot seem to hold on to a puck if it was glued to your forehead.

The final game saw a visit from the Inferno who could not stop the Toronto North Stars onslaught as the good guys took this one six to two. The North Stars out shot the Inferno more than two to one, having fifty-four shots on goal to Atlanta's twenty-one. The hits were close, but the Toronto North Stars go zero for three, being out hit seventeen to fourteen. Luffy Richard kept his presence known with a shot on goal and two hits, so at least he is throwing his body around for the greater glory of the North Stars.

Six much needed points bring the North Stars up to seventy-one, but Buffalo still keeps their two-point lead. The Stampede is proving themselves hard prey to follow, but we are not giving up yet! There are eighteen games left for the Toronto North Stars--eighteen games to get it done! All of Toronto is behind you, North Stars. We believe, and we know you all have the heart to take this thing all the way! Never give up and never surrender, and also, never shave your face with a rusty razor.

Until Next Time

SHINE ON!
