Look, yeah, I'm a little biased. But LETS GOOO! Winnipeg was able to pick up a few big time SHL vets and some great SHL new blood. If we're trying to figure out who won the draft, Winnipeg should definitely be in that conversation.

4th Overall:
@tweedledunn
Gonzo Gobbledygook
$48,470,000
333 TPE
Gonzo Gobbledygook is the recreate of a well loved sig artist, tweedledunn. Those masterful sig skills alone give any team a huge boost. He's active, hype about coming to Winnipeg, and has a great player. Gobbledygook is a big winger focused on offense. After redistribution, Gonzo has 13s and 14s in every offensive and physical category other than Shooting Range and Fighting (who even needs those lol). His active status and TPE gains bode well for the future of Winnipeg. Paired with another draft pick of this class, Winnipeg will have some real firepower in a few seasons. Expect him to stay with Colorado for about 2 more seasons before the jump to the major league. Tweedledunn was never going to drop out of the top 10 - in any universe - if that tells you how good of a pick he is. As a side note: tweedledunn won his fantasy group this season, so he gets a big TPE jump upcoming this week.

6th Overall:

By-Tor
Marcel Beck
$27,487,000
329 TPE

Marcel Beck is a great defenseman coming out of St. Louis. By-Tor is an active user, posting a ton of media (including this one!) and staying active in the LR and other chats. Every Hall of Fame vet had their first ever SHL post at some point in the past 11 years and that happened just a few months ago for this user. He is seeking an expanding role within SHL as he gets his feet wet. As for his player, Marcel Beck is a great mobile defender that keeps pucks out of his own net while generating offense. He's another max earner that has a ton of 13s and 14s on redistribution. He was leaned on a ton in St. Louis this season, and he looks to capture a Four-Star Cup before leaving for Winnipeg.

16th Overall:

@"Simply Incorrect"
Daniel Merica Jr.
$14,762,000
299 TPE

Picking up a two time Hall of Fame user in the late first round is a HUGE steal. SimplyIncorrect brings experience, site and LR activity, and a great roster player. Daniel Merica Jr is set up to be another Hall of Famer. From SimplyIncorrect: "I'd say it's similar [with Merica Jr.] to what I did with Merica Sr., ... the end goal is always the same, build a Hall of Fame player." If Gobbledygook is a power forward, Merica Jr. is a speedy sniper. On redistribution, Daniel will have 7 (!) attributes at 15 including speed, acceleration, shooting accuracy, and puckhandling. Merica Jr will stay in Anaheim for a few seasons before making the jump, but when he does, oh boy, goalies beware. Again, this was a huge steal. I can already tell that the Winnipeg LR is immensely better by adding SimplyIncorrect.

46th Overall:

@canuckles
Elvis Alexander
$4,600,000
266 TPE

Canuckles is a active enough player that will give Winnipeg another good personality in the LR. Elvis Alexander is a good winger that will provide some good depth stability. The jury is still out if he will continue to be active, but so far, so good. Alexander had a pretty good rookie season in Vancouver and looks to continue to develop with the Whalers. I could see him making the jump in 3 seasons. Elvis is a dark horse that could turn out to be a huge steal in a few seasons.

Overall, this was a fantastic draft for Winnipeg. The future is very bright with these players now in the pipeline. A clear championship window is now forming - the cup drought may soon end.  Aurora

Great job @Muerto, @Geekusoid, and @TheSparkyDee
