At this point in the Season if I had to pick a Player to win the Ideen Fallah Trophy it would be Cole Carter the Left Winger from Anchorage. To this point in the Season Carter has accumulated 54 points, 30 Goals, and 24 Assists. Helping to put Anchorage currently second in the standings and in a prime position for a playoff run. Carter has been efficient on offense putting up an offensive grade of 76 through 58 games played.

The competition for the trophy is far from over though as Vancouver's Alexis Saint-Michel is still firmly in the mix. Saint-Michel has helped Vancouver to third in the standings while putting up 55 points in the way of 30 Goals, 25 Assists, and an offensive grade of 74. Where Saint-Michel really sets himself apart from other contenders is in the plus and minus category, Putting a Plus 24 rating. It will be a close contest between two of the leagues top scores the will come down to the wire.

The popular answer here is going to be Newfoundland's Robert Black. Having posted 65 points in just 57 games, Black leads the league's standout number one team in total offense. He averages just 17:27 minutes a night and is tied for the team's highest relative corsi by a forward. Barring a dramatic fall, Black likely is the league favorite to be the next MVP. However, my personal vote would go to someone who is quietly having themselves a stellar season on one of the league's worst performing teams. The Detroit Falcons currently sit in 9th place out of 12 teams with a record of 23-29-3. Their starting goalie, Podan Podanovic, has a record of 20-24-3. With a respectable 2.89 GAA, which is 10th in the league among qualified goalies (including Podan, 8 teams are represented in the top 10). With a save percentage of .921, Podan leads the league among qualified goalies for save percentage. The next closest? Carolina Kraken goalie Osada Tamura, who has split the season's starts with Meeka Keprosoft, who has a save percentage of .916. Podan currently is the runaway leader in Goals Saved Above Average with 26.24 with the league's second place going to Outlaws goalie Zhen Roza, who has a GSAA of 15.13.

How can an argument be made for anyone other than Robert Black of the Newfoundland Berserkers? Now you might be thinking of course a case can be made for someone else but in all honesty, you would be wrong. Lets look at the stats the guy is tied for eighth in the league with twenty three goals. Follow that up with his third place ranking with forty two assists. All of that adding up to his simulation major junior hockey league lead of sixty five points. I whole heartedly believe that Robert Black should win the most valuable player award this season as evidenced also by his team lighting up the league behind his lead. The Berserkers have been basically a cheat code all season coming out of the gate hot and just getting hotter all season. This team is hot as the sun and at it's core is Robert Black. If you take him off the team they are likely just as good as they are now but hey this task had to get done somehow and at the last minute it is really just about getting the information out there that Robert Black of the Newfoundland Berserkers has to be this seasons most valuable player.
