Its AlMOST PLAYOFF time BABY, and with that we got even more intensive training too take part in too get ready for who we have in store it seems like Maine timber will be Quebecs 1st impontent Maine is currently second last in the leauge but a big thing coach has been teaching lately is play and finsihed every check and keep going and not too give up once we are ahead, we have blown some bad leads lately so i think its good coach is teaching us that; If we can play hard and not let up on maine we should be able to push into the next round which will see us face alot harder impointant in New found land, coach has got us training hard for them, we are going too come out ruthless and strong and give em everything we got and hopefully we can find the heart too beat these guys and go for the Cup.

I like to keep it real, and will say that we as a team aren't really preparing for a deep cup run, and I am sure Kraken management have the same idea. Obviously the chance is always there as soon as the playoffs start and there is really know way of knowing what will happen, and far be it from any of the Kraken players to just lie down and NOT give 100% of their effort, but I think we are more gearing up towards making a huge impact next season, and next playoffs. In the way of actually preparing for them, I know the team is working hard in practices shoring up their defensive skills and whatnot. Personally, I know Vincent has reduced his training load and has swapped over from spending time learning new skills, and has begun refining the skills that he already knows and uses, in an effort to be the best he can be for this years playoffs.

It may be late season now, but the Kelowna Knights are finally finding their footing.

The Knights are .500 in their last ten games and nearly all of them, save for a five goal loss to Quebec, have been much closer than the beginning of the season. The team, in practice, is finding themselves much more comfortable with their linemates and the team's systems. The result is a team much more confident in themselves and eachother. Practices will begin to slow down and become more technical in order to capitalize on this pre-playoffs high, and the players have taken to celebrating every small victory that comes their way to keep their spirits high. The Knights are now a competitive team, and what a time to peak. The league better watch out, because these are the makings of a dark horse.

Petr is still angy though, he hasn't been scoring much lately :(

The Colorado Raptors are ready for a cup run this year. We have all the components necessary to claim the 4 star cup. But we also need to train hard. In preparation for the playoffs we have started a new regime to get us in top shape to emerge victorious. For starters, every weekend we have to climb Mount Elbert in just our underwear. While it is a rough endeavor, it has strengthened our bodies and minds to a whole different level. Afterwards we have to skate around the Navajo Lake 4 times and to finish we have to listen to 24 hours straight to Kidz Bop to fortify our will and to get us used to away games.

This regime has been rough on all of us but we are slowly getting stronger and fiercer as the days go by. As the first post-season game looms nearer, we are all full with excitement and tenacity to win the 4 star cup!

The Whalers may be the most underrated team in the league this year. Sitting in third for the majority of the season, they have imposed their will on just about anyone they have played. Now, obviously you have Newfoundland as the favorite and Anchorage has been very strong all season, but most seem to be overlooking Vancouver. Currently sitting just 3 points out of second with 2 games in hand, the Whalers are poised to make a deep run in the postseason.

Led by superstar Alexis Saint-Michel, Ragnar Ragnarsson and Makrus “The Tater” Jager up front, the Whalers will not be an easy out. ASM is currently tied for the league-lead in goals, Jager is sitting tied for fourth in the league in points and Ragnarsson is tied for eighth in goals. With the backend patrolled by Narboza Manyhands and the reigning Rookie of the Year NBA YoungBoy on the top pair with Sven Svechnikov and rookie Landon Fischermann holding up the second pair, this team is incredibly deep. Not to mention, the stone wall they have in net Olof Karsikko who is tied for the league-lead in wins, ranks fourth in GAA, seventh in SV% and first in shutouts with eight. His eight shutouts are also tied for the second most in league history, just 3 back of the record.

So how does a team with all this talent prepare for the postseason? We bear down, and do what we have been doing all season long, kicking ass and taking names. Whale Naysh is ready to celebrate big…and that is just what we intend for them to do.

To celebrate the end of the season and to also celebrate that the Nevada Battleborn made the playoffs (yes, I know everyone gets in), the Nevada GMs threw the team a pizza party! No expense was spared! It was hosted at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. And all sorts of pizzas where ordered. Pepperoni, Bacon & Spinach, Veggie, and my favorite, Hawaiian!! The pizzas where delivered by Mike Tyson in his limo!  Even better the game floor of the Bellagio was turned into a giant bouncy castle!! Included with obstacle courses and a dueling arena (with pads, of course). To top off the incredible night, the Battleborn got a private show with none other than Celine Dion!! GMs Alex and Oliver were even pulled up on stage to sing karaoke! After a night of partying, the Battleborn woke up to a waffle buffet, with any type of waffle imaginable and every type of topping! It was like a party never seen in Vegas before, and a night to never forget.

During this season, Nevada has been very focused on making sure that we're developing. While we are not under any delusions about our chances within the playoffs for the year, we are really looking forward the growth that the team has made throughout the season, as well as throughout the future. As we prepare for these playoffs, we're going to be looking at making sure that we have created not just a team that is ready to compete for the future, but also a team that is bonded and strengthened through our losses and rough seasons.

Despite the struggles that Nevada has had this season, we have remained positive and upbeat over the past several weeks. We've been using this time to earn our TPE, strengthen our team itself, and make sure that they are as strong as possible for the future.

Did we win?
In our hearts, yes.
In reality, I don't know.

This is the heartbeat of the team, and the way we move forward to prepare. Nevada is the team of heart, even if they are still struggling a little bit on the ice.

The Anaheim Outlaws are preparing for the playoffs by all going on a super secret special training camp prepared by none other than Adelie de Pengu, the team's most esteemed and well liked penguin. He has a patented training regimen call the Penguin Shuffle that will be sure to get the team in shape and help round out spots where the roster is lacking in their abilities. This should let them take the playoffs by storm. It all starts with a trip to Pengu's home in the Arctic where the team is told they must survive alone. As this isn't their first rodeo with Adelie de Pengu, they know the drill by now and many of them know how to survive in the barren landscape due to previous experiences. This time though, they'll be truly tested as they'll be given the task of taking the great penguin march. This is a journey from one side of the Arctic reef to the other where the penguins meet to mate. This is a multiple day trip in the ice, snow, and rugged landscape that takes the lives of many penguins every year. Pengu has been building the team's endurance for this and now its time to see if it pays off as playoffs wait for them on the other side.

The Maine Timber are doing a whole lot better now than they did earlier on the season.
With a very young roster, filled with superstars, the team improved steadily every week, with their players taking training very seriously.
With this being the first time they will play a playoff game, we can expect some nervousness at the start, but that will definitely change quickly. The roster is confident that, while they were not remotely near the top spots in the regular season, they can very much create some havoc during the post season. So they are not really scheduling anything, like vacation time, surgeries to repair injuries or haircuts, because those plans might have to be cancelled when they go through another playoff round.
We know that going all the way it is not impossible, but it is highly unlikely. But stranger things have happened in the league, so do not be surprised if you check playoff results later on and see the Timber still there.

Gabe-Gooney-Waters Harrak and the rest of the crew have been doing a lot of preparing for the upcoming S60 SMJHL Playoffs, believe you me. They currently sit 4th in the standings, so they've got a real shot of making a big run here with all of their really neat and super talented pieces, but what are they doing to get ready? Well on the ice, theyre running a lot of drills to fix some of the weaknesses in their game, of which there aren't very many, but practice makes perfect! They're practicing their one timers, their back checking, their hitting, their skating, the whole 9 yards, and the preparations continue off the ice as well! When they're not practicing, they're working on strengthening their bond as teammates by going to Chuck E. Cheese and just going ballistic on all the games there, and after that they pool their tickets together to get the biggest prize possible. They do this because coach says it strengthens their teamwork and really makes them earn a prize, not as individuals, but as a unit.

The Anaheim Outlaws are getting an early start on preparing for their playoff appearance. In fine Outlaws tradition, they are practicing losing 4 games in a row so that they can get a head start on what it will feel like to get inevitably swept. They realized they'd been winning too many games which might start giving their fans hope, and that wouldn't be good otherwise they'd never be able to relocate to Death Valley if they sold too many seasons tickets. In practices, the players are spending hours and hours on the shooting range, and are getting quite good at shooting themselves in the foot. They make sure that every game they swap in different lines so that they don't get too comfortable with their playing partners and are ready for whatever chaos may happen as the playoffs get underway. All joking aside, it's a good idea to get the worst case scenarios out of the way now so that when playoffs start, they've already had a taste of what they don't want, and can work on avoiding that. When the team has played well, they have been able to beat anyone, and that's what they need to remember - not all the things that could go wrong.

Oh, you know, the Outlaws are like, preparing super hard for the postseason. We’re doing playoff things, like campfire songs and roasting smores over an open fire. We’re building relationships here. A team that sings together wins together, or something like that. In a hockey sense, we’re trying to figure out how to win a regular season game again, nevermind a postseason series. I am still convinced that Pavel Jeziak was a Detroit Falcons sleeper agent deployed to bring Anaheim down from within. We haven’t been the same since he came on board… just in time for the postseason. I’d request a formal investigation into his conduct – I believe he may be sabotaging our systems in advance of the postseason. Our coaching staff is hard at work to neuter Jeziak’s interference in our strategy as we project potential postseason matchups. We are doing our best, ladies and gentlemen, and Outlaws fans.

Kelowna, being the underdog that they are, are preparing for the playoffs by conducting some team bonding and community activities. They have been active in the Post-Covid world, working at the Kelowna foodbank and SPCA, where the majority of the team was distracted by puppies. All the puppies. Puppies everywhere.

Coach is getting them refocused at practice, with battle drills being the order of the day. The largely rookie team is reliant on the Champions of last season to fill them in on just how different the playoffs are and they rookies are intently listening to every word. Expecting tight checking, quick transition hockey, the practices are intense and brutal and this is bubbling over into the games to finish out the season, where the Knights are steadily improving game to game. Several of the rookies look poised to break out soon and the experience gained this playoffs will be invaluable as they look to be even more competitive next season.
