S60 DFA Bounties #2 - The Present
#1

The playoffs are about to start, and that brings us to the second DFA bounty:

You've made it. You're on the list to be drafted into the SMJHL. Some of you have already temporarily joined a team for the remainder of this season to stay in shape and possibly attract more attention from scouts.

Written Task: Write a summary of your scouting profile, highlighting why you you're expected to do well in the upcoming draft (250 word min.)
Graphic Task: Show us the cover photo for your scouting file. Must include your render, name, position and nationality.

Reward: $500,000 for doing one of the above

Only current SMJHL Draftable Free Agents (S60 SMJHL Draftees, SHL class of S61) are eligible for this bounty.

There is no need to claim this anywhere. After grading the money should pop up in your account 'automatically'.

Deadline: Sunday, August 1st @ 11:59pm EST

Malach Skoda is a one-of-a-kind talent coming into this draft. Skoda is coming into the league to score and score only. Goalies will never be able to stop his wicked wrist shot or even his insanely powerful slap shot. Malach skoda is an up-and-coming Czech winger hopefully to be able to make a huge impact on the league. Whether it's going coast to coast with his insane speed, scoring dirty angles on any goalie no matter the reputation, or hustling back into the defensive zone and blocking a gaming-winning shot with his skates. Skoda already has scouts talking about his skill in this upcoming draft. Some teams are able to have great players but no scoring. This is where skoda comes in. Skating wise Skoda is in a league of his own. Flawless skating in and out of defensemen as they try not to fall down with Skoda's fast moves around them. Skoda is able to go anywhere with such quick speed some people miss him as he skates by. His edges are elite even at such a young age. Any team would be lucky to have such a skilled skater on their team. Someone who will put the team first and play many positions needed. If the team needs skoda to play on the penalty kill and make a huge stop he can. If they need a crucial goal on the power play? Skoda is the man with the goal sense. Skoda is one of the top prospects coming into this draft. Draft them.

Tightpants was born to skate in the big leagues. He's dynamic, fast, and fluid on the ice, with an unparalleled ability to lose his defender and either bury the puck in the back of the net or make the final pass for an assist. He's a threat to score from any range and at any time, leaving opposing defenses at a loss of whether or not to double him and make his teammates beat you or let him get his shots and make him beat you. There really is no good way to defend against the Canadian Wunderkid. He's drawn comparisons to Crosby and Lemieux for how effortless his play looks while he's out on the ice. He's a bit rough around the edges, and needs some more training to get to the level that scouts and GMs think he could be at, but the kid is driven, smart, and willing to work his ass off for a chance to play every day. Scouts have noticed that the power exceeds his frame, and are hopeful that with a bit of conditioning and weight work he can add some bulk and become truly terrifying both with the puck and in the odd fight or three. They're also taking notice for how he's seemed to mature every single year in high school hockey, with his teammates praising him for the work he's done to grow out of his selfish scoring persona and tried to even out his game more, leading the league in assists last year and setting a school record for points as well. Tightpants will one day be a star in this league, it's just a matter of how long it takes for him to really find his footing on the ice - both defensively, and as the game speeds up around him.

Oskar Von Walther is one of the hottest Ice Hockey prospects to come out of Germany in recent years. Ice Hockey has slowly be gaining popularity in the fatherland over the last few years and it's starting to produce some high quality, one of which is Von Walther. Walther has been skating since he was  since he was four years old and playing organized hockey since before his tenth birthday. In terms of his playstyle, he's a gritty offense heavy winger with a nose for the back of the net. He's not the most solid defense player in the draft but he shows the tools to eventually develop into a  serviceable defensive forward. It's his offensive skillset and his ability to improve offensively that is going to define the future of his potential SHL  and SMJHL career. In terms of hi skating, he;/s got great balance with a solid frame though he  is of average height. He has the build to be solid well-built in front of the net player and that's the style that he is most accustomed too. Outside of defensive ills, his greatest weakness its probably his lack of passing skill. He's not good at moving the puck around as he prefers to be the finisher on a scoring opportunity as opposed to the person who creates the scoring opportunity for his teammates.
