After Anchorages managed to finish the season in third place winning 46 games out of 66 where they lost 17 in regulation time and 3 games in overtime, they managed to pick up the second-best goal difference in the league with +116 scoring 276 goals and only letting up 160 goals against it was clear this team was going to be a force to be reckoned with. When it came down to playoff time they got matched up against Nevada in round one, in-game one it was Anchorage starting on the way they finished in the regular season after they dominated and managed to pick up a 5-2 victory, in game two it was once again Anchorage putting on not only an offensive clinic but they were shut down on defense as they didn't let up many shots and managed to get the shutout in a 5-0 win, in game 3 there wasn't a huge different in outcome it was once again Anchorage let up on defense a bit a got punished but it wasn't enough as they blew them out on offense for a 4-1 win making the series 3-0 for Anchorage, for the game for no one expected a different out come and they thought there was another blowout on the cards but they were well in shock when Nevada held in sending into overtime tied at 1-1 but it was Anchorage who wanted to finish it as they scored and booked a ticket to the second round. In the next round, they matched up against Colorado who had a free pass to the second round it looked to be a more even matchup as the series began, in-game one it was Colorado to strike first blood as they picked up a narrow 2-1 win over Anchorage leaving them thinking how can they improve their game to beat the colorado team, in-game two they weren't long picking up the offense again as they struck to get 4 goals but it was the defense worrying as they l got scored on 3 times leaving another narrow win but this time for Anchorage, Game three it was another high scoring game as the final score ended up being a 5-4 overtime victory for colorado, game four need to be a bounce-back for Anchorage but that wasn't what happened as colorado managed to once again beat them 2-1 it surely looked bad for Anchorage as Colorado leads them 3-1 in the series, in game five Anchorage had there back to the walls as they haven't been as good as they can be but they surely struck and got a grove going after the won 3-2 in overtime a very close game but they pulled through, game six was another overtime thriller but Anchorage edged it once again winning 3-2 leaving the series 3-3 and going into game 7, in  game 7 it was a blow out for Anchorage after they finally found they play they've been looking for and won 5-2 sending them into round 3. In round 3 they matched up against Quebec who was also a strong team but Anchorage was on fire, as they began game one they started where they left off with a huge 8-3 win to set the standards, then in game two they stuck tp what they were doing where they had another big 4-2 victory as Anchorage looked they sure favorites they continued to show why they are in game 3 where they shutout Quebec and won 3-0 in game 4 it was looking like a sure sweep as they were very dominant and indeed it was they put up a 5-3 win taking them into the finals. They face Newfoundland in the finals, Anchorage was in try finals last year and lost will it be a repeat, in game 1 it was Anchorage to draw first blood after they won 3-2, in-game 2 down but not out it was Newfoundland to pick up a blow out 5-2 win tying up the series then in game 3 it was a very close game that went to overtime but Anchorage managed to grab the goal and won 3-2. That is my breakdown on Anchorages road to the finals, The rest of the games are unplayed but I think Anchorage will manage to win the cup in 6 games.
