Let's start this whole thing by establishing who the Deplorables were you can enjoy the signing thread here. Essentially it was a group of recreates (6) who wanted to create before the SMJHL Draft and were vocal about wanting to not go through the SMJHL Draft. As one can imagine this created quite a lot of discussion in the SMJHL circles at the time. Even the SMJHL Commish of the time Muerto had to make an announcement about this whole situation. In the end it was ruled that they would only be able to claim the TPE from PT tasks after they created ,which they did after the SMJHL Draft in the end. The six people who the Detroit Falcons in the signed were:

Sami Free  who went on to be drafted #21 overall in the following SHL draft by the Portland Admirals. Sami played in 150 games and managed to get 48 points in those games. Sami Free is one of the few deplorables who actually got to play some SHL games but 50% he was only a roster filler or played very limited minutes. He ended his SHL career with 15 points in 400 regular season games.

Josh Merica who went undrafted in the SHL draft. His TPE peaked at 191. Merica just played 1 single season in the SMJHL and retired afterwards. He managed to get 15 points as a rookie with 2 of these being goals. Interestingly enough he managed to score a game winning goal in the regular season.

Matthew Rossi who went on to be drafted #11 overall in the following SHL draft by the Seattle Riot. Rossi was actually the only member of the deplorables that managed to win a Four Star Cup with the Detroit Falcons in season 34. Rossi played a total of 200 games for the Falcons and amassed 123 Points. He eventually peaked at 322 TPE and never played a SHL game.

Jace Smith who went on to be drafted #28 overall in the following SHL draft by the Buffalo Stampede. Smith played in 150 games for the Detroit Falcons and scored 63 during his tenure there. He sadly never played in the SHL and peaked at 225 TPE.

Tremaine Versace peaked at 218 TPE and retired before the SHL draft happened. He was also one of the 2 defenders on the Deplorables, Nova being the other. The Falcons managed to get 50 games and 12 points out of this free agent signing. Interesting all of his 3 SMJHL career goals were either game winners or game tying goals.

Terrance Nova who was by far the best player of the Deplorables group. He got picked #9 overall by the Minnesota Chiefs in the following SHL draft and the only one of the deplorables to switch positions as well as being inducted into the SHL Hall of Fame. He is also one of the very few SHL players that scored over 1000 points in their SHL career. Detroit got 100 games out of Nova with him scoring 60 points. Nova's performance in the S32 SMJHL playoffs got him the Brodie Witzel Trophy which meant he was the MVP of the playoffs as well as being awarded the Ronan O'Keefe Trophy which meant he led the SMJHL in playoff points.

At the end Detroit got quite a lot of games (700) as well as 321 points out of these 6 free agents which is quite a big return. Especially signing one of the most prolific scorers in SHL history with Nova.
