His oldest sister Andrea is a business woman, his brother Vlad is a hospital porter, His older sister Megna takes hockey mom to a whole other level and his younger sister Mikaela is a jill of all trades. Mrs. Tretyak was an amateur athlete and high school physical education teacher. Mr. Tretyak was a business man a member of community clubs who volunteered his time with the youth of the community when he wasn't work as a financial management consultant with a love of sports that he passed on to his children.
Dominik actually played Right Wing in select and Left Defense in house league but truly shone when his friend the goalie went down with a back injury. He watched the KHL and his favourite Player was Evgeni Malkin. When Tretyak played Right Wing he was a power forward in a speedster's body. A a defenseman he scored in bunches but had trouble stopping the other team. A watcher of sports highlights every night he would mimic the style and moves of his favourites like Ed Belfour, Dominik Hasek and Vladislav Tretiak

Magnitogorsk Metallurg is his favourite team.
Short and Husky, young Dominik worked on stretching and reflex drills to keep himself limber.
He once won a Football championship as a netminder for a youth team.
He played tennis in high school.
With his own money he bought a set of used old fashioned goalie gear.
Favourite Teams: NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. KHL's Magnitogorsk Metallurg.
Dominik is an avid wargamer and likes to do tai chi go for walks, shoot hoops, play baseball poorly, watch almost any sport especially basketball (Lakers, Raptors, T-Wolves
He plays WH40k as the Tyranids and Genestealer Cults.

His break actually came while he was playing at Right Wing a foreign scout wrote a glowing recommendation and was impressed Dominik could play all six positions.
Once he got to minor junior and started playing regularly the Anchorage Armada reached out from across the pond.
Opportunity is knocking, will he answer the call?
His goals against average has been low so far.
When recently asked if he liked it in Anchorage.
Dominik said it's not the mountains but i love the sea, everything here is so peaceful. And the lifestyle is different, freer.
This part of the country is sort of like home because things are alive and preserved and its nice to see the commitment to the environment.
A reporter hinted at a girlfriend, and he said women they're so much trouble. They don't even know the answer sometimes.
Dominik also is a lover of high fantasy and artbooks and gaming. Some of his favorites include Eddings, Weis, Salvatore, Robert Jordan.
He loves strategy gaming and dreaming up his own worlds.
