Good morning Nevada! Today we are here to bring you the captain announcement for the upcoming season 62! This season is looking to be a historic one for the Battleborn who are looking strong now that the S60 SMJHL draft class is fully TPE capped. While every team wants to set their sights on a Four Star Cup, the Battleborn are still looking to win their first playoff series in franchise history! It’ll be an exciting season, without further ado, I bring you our first Assistant Captains!

S62 Alternate captain - Willie Miller @Sebster

Willie Miller has been a leader in the locker room since the day he was drafted. Despite the number of shots and punishment he has faced his first two seasons, Willie has held his head high and is always an inspiration for the rest of the team. His light hearted attitude has kept team spirits high over the last 2 seasons. His on-ice performance has shown major improvement and he is certainly on the shortlist for top goalie this year. That is, as long as our other Assistant Captain actually lets shots get to the net.

S62 Alternate captain - Melvin Majestik-Moose @SchwarzNarr

The 2nd pick in the S60 SMJHL draft. Moose’s influence and leadership in the Nevada locker room is boundless. They are the kindest and most wholesome player with ears and patience for everyone to come to. They have really helped build Nevada to the welcoming and warm place that it is today! On the ice, you don’t want to get tangled with those antlers! As well as the commitment to the dream putting their body on the line to protect Willie. Now Moose was captain the past two years, but this season we are going with someone different has it’ll be their last year in Nevada.

S62 Captain - Jimmy Larkin-Conway @Grapehead

There are not enough words in the English language to describe the combination of leadership, heart, and skill that Jimmy Larkin Conway possesses. The greatest Battleborn player to ever play, JLC has broken goal scoring and points records the past two years. Their locker room prencese is that of an old senpai, with much of the locker room looking to him for advice and guidance. Many of them are chomping at the bit to get a shot at beating his points/goal records when the time comes. That is, if he doesn’t shatter them this year and make them unobtainable. Likely the first player who will be inducted into the Battleborn Hall of Fame. For his last season, our captain Jimmy Larkin Conway.

So there it is. The Captain and two Assistants for Season 62.
