The Vancouver Whalers have won the 4 Star Cup this upcoming offseason, however I have decided to look at the LAST Whaler Team to have won the 4-Star and where they are now. The S56 Whalers are now at the age where they can be HUGE parts of their team, so it will be fun to look at the team that won it all. Lets take a look at this team and see where these guys are now!
Goalies Name Redacted @Skeleton Party- The First player we will look at is the man himself Name Redacted, is now a 1619 TPE Goalie for the Manhatten Rage and is currently 7th in TPE, its clear that Name Redacted is going to be a top Goalie for years to come for the Rage, and is the first of many of that Whaler team to find success in the SHL John St. Ark @Arkz- The lone rookie in this whalers team, St. Ark has shown himself to be a phenom in the league at 1371 TPE he is one of the top players in his draft class. He is currently the starting Goalie in New Orleans and has been a huge part of their rebuild Defenders Johnny Shuffleboard @mee - The Leader on and off the ice, Shuffleboard lead the Whalers in Ice Time and also randomly was took the 2nd most shots on goal. He is currently a 1300 tpe Defender in Winnipeg, however he has unfortunatly gone IA so will likely not improve from this Ryosuke Sato @Dextaria - The guy who spent the 2nd most time on the ice and was the best defender at taking the puck away from unsuspecting players. Dex is currently the GM of the Whalers and his player is a 1997 TPE player for Toronto Slimey Snail @FleshBagSoup - A mad man on the ice, leading the whalers in Hits with 150, Blocks with 75, also lead the whaler in penalty minutes (might be related), Has 1000 TPE player for Minny, but is sadly IA in this league but obviously will be a somewhat solid player for the next few seasons Sarah Burke @Kyamprac - another key defender on this whaler team. Burke was recently traded to LA and is now a key defender on their team and now is a 1570 TPE player who now plays on the offensive side of the ice Zebulon Leavitt @Kraagenskul Seemingly following in Snails footsteps Leavitt was 2nd on the whalers in blocks with 71 and also was up their in Hits as well as leading the league in +/-. Leavitt is now a 1472 TPE player for Baltimore and is still active and earning Lonnie O'Donoghue @ Another solid defenser on this team. I cannot find the user anywhere but he was IA when i joined the team so i believe that he did not make a SHL roster Luc Blouin @DrunkenTeddy was apperently on the whalers for a few games but i assume he was a DFA, as it seems like he maybe played 5/6 games this season. 1188 TPE and a good player and was helpful to the team down the strech it seems Forwards Jason Desrouleaux @Gooney - The most Ice Time as a forward, and one of the top scorers in the league this season finishing in 9th on the scoring charts. it seem like he retired at around 800 tpe so unfortunatly was not a huge contributer to the majors Devin Basher @HanTheMan_- Third in points on the team, and a very nice contributer to the team. He player for the Steelhawks and currently has 1524 TPE for the team Rotticus Scott @RotticusScott - The future Steelhawk GM was 2nd in points this season for the whalers. Is a 1935 TPE player for the Steelhawks and a big part of their titles there. Simon Takshak @GeckoeyGecko - A seemily defensive winger, Takshak was low on the points but high on alot of defensive stats. Currently a 900 TPE player for Montreal so not the key contributer that they would have hoped he would develop into Dee Centerman IV @grok a center who was very good defensively with alot of blocked shots, had a nack for assisting racking up 17 on the year. Seemily made the move to defense official and is a 1400 tpe defensive player for seattle Daniil Nikiforov @DELIRIVM - Despite not being on the ice as consistently as one would assume, Nikiforov made the most of his opertunities and ended up leading the league in points this season, with 53, he ended up being a major reason why the whalers won the cup. Continuing to be a key part of the SHL as a 1792 TPE player making him 4th in his class Bryce McMahon @MN_Moosey - A big assist guy who was 2nd on the team in assists and was a key part of this team, They are now a 1469 TPE player for LA. Rikki Petrov @AW13 - Rikki was a big part of the offense with 21 assists Petrov was a key contributor to this team. Currently a 1050 TPE play for Minny, so a bit lower on TPE then one would hope at this stage however is still a solid contributer to a team Luffy Richard @Moreorless89 - Another Key part of the championship team. Currently a 1447 TPE player for toronto Valtterri Kauppinen @Pythonic - A player who had to wait a little to break out in the next few seasons, Koopa was only a smaller contributer to this team at this point. Another future Vancouver GM for this team. Now a 1528 TPE player for New Orleans and now serves as the GM for this team KnockedOut byOvechkin @ddrector - the future Robin to Koopa's batman, KOBO was still a season away from truly breaking out with Koopam however the talent was there and he was able to be a contributer to this team. Currently a 1228 TPE player for Toronto. Wile Coyote - Lower contributoron this team however still was able to turn up to help out. Was IA at lower tpe so never made the SHL Markleesio Hopscotch - someone who seems to just be a waiver picks Hopskotch played very little but got a few solid points down the strech. Does not to have seemed to done much after this season as i cannot find his user or player A very cool team, vancouver is a franchise showing people how to win it all, rebuild and win again, and is one of the best teams in the entire SMJHL and has many players that have done big things in the majors as well Kyle Sux Lmap
