With season almost concluding and playoffs on the horizon, it's time to look at the rookies of the Newfoundland Berserkers to see what they have accomplished. Four rookies will be discussed how far they have come since the beginning.

The first rookie is none other than Valters Denisova @vic03. Valters has been the star rookie on the Bersekers currently leading the group with 11G and 23A for 31 points so far this season having played 55 games. Valters is a reliable player who you can count on to generate offense through his own abilities or his ability to takeaway the puck with his 17 takeaways so far this season. Valters has the potential to be one of the top picks in the SHL draft and whatever team is able to take him should as Valters has and will continue to show he is an offensive talent that is going to stick around

The second rookie is the man who has come to be  known on the team for wanting to CHOP the Maine Timbers, it's the one and only Rand al'Thor @HOFF. Rand currently sits at 7G and 17A for 24 points so far. Offense isn't Rand's priority. Rand's priority is being the physical presence that each team needs. Throughout the season Rand has delivered 69 crushing hits to opponents that will make them think twice before getting in Rand's way ever again. As a defensemen who can setup the offense for goals and deliver hits to opponenets when he needs to Rand will be wanted by many teams.

The third rookie is slowly beginning to find his footing and contribute on the score sheet, it's the man who can be Buck wild it's Buck Keithley @McAl95. Buck currently has 8G and 8A for 16 points to his name. Buck is the type of player who contributes more than just offense to the team. As stated it's taking Buck some time to find his form in regards to his offensive presence. Buck has shown on defense and the backcheck was well posting 16 takeaways. Although Buck was nothing to brag about and was a undrafted free agent, he has really begun to develop and show some bright spots for the future. Will he be a top pick? Probably not, but he will be a reliable player for whatever team decides to take a chance on him in the future.

Last but not least the rookie to round out this lovely group is Devin Williams-II @MrRuihu. Devin much like Buck has been adjusting, finding his footing and begun to settle into his role on the team. Devin currently has 7G and 8A for 15 points. Devin's main concern isn't his offence though, his concern is keeping the puck out of the net and keeping his opponents in check. Devin has been achieving this by blocking 39 shots so far and also delivering 70 hits. With a defensemen like Devin who is willing to throw his body on the line to make sure that puck doesn't go in, is the kind of teammate anyone would want. He, much like Buck, probably won't be a top pick, but when he is picked that team will know they have someone who is willing to throw themselves in front of harm for the greater good of the team.

Those are the rookies for the Newfoundland Berserkers a group that will do what is necessary for their team to win and individual players who thrive in their role to make themselves and the team better.
