Here is a statistical rundown of the star player of the Vancouvers Whalers Whalers

Lev Lebedev - Most likely a good candidate for this season Most Valuable Player.
Lev scored an outstanding 91 points to lead the league in points. Which breaks down as 41 goal and 50 assists. He leads the league in goals AND assists.
This helped him end the season with an amazing plus 48 in the plus minus. Third in the league.
Of his goals, 35 were even strength (first in the league), 6 were on the power play (top 9.4%) with 0 short handed goals.
Of Levs assists, 39 were even strength (first in the league), 11 were on the power play (top 5.9%) with 0 short handed assists.
With only 17 PIM, he finished roughly at the 50% mark which is average in the league.
Lev had 297 shots on goal this season (first in the league). That means 13.8% of his shots resulted in goals!
This puts him in the top 13.3% of players in shooting percentage.
Levs total time on ice totaled 1249, which is only in the top 29.8%. This makes his point total that much more impressive.
His average time on ice was 18:55 a game, which is also in the top 29.8%
Levs average power play time in ice was 2:04 per game. That is the top 21.2% of the league.
He did not play on the penalty kill, which is why he had no opportunity to get short handed points.
Lev was second in the league in giveaways at 83, not a stat you want to lead.
With 21 takeaways, Lev was in the top 42.7%, slightly above average.
He only had 1 fight, with a fight record of 0-1 for this season. That is also his first and only fight in his career.
Lev ended the season with 78 blocks. That is not a lot, however still top 25.1% of the league.
He had 45 hits, which is only in the top 67.1% of players. Not being very physical probably payed a key part into why he was not on the penalty kill.
Ending the season with an overall game rating of 70, that puts him 11th on the leader boards.
His game ratings break down into a 77 offensively (3rd in the league) and a 58 defensively (top 41.2% of the league).

Levs Lebedev Advanced Stats - (only PDO cause the rest I dont understand lul)
Levs PDO was a 101.  PDO is calculated by taking the sum of Vancouvers even strength shooting percentage (the number of goals they score divided by the number of shots on goal they generate) and their even strength save percentage (the number of shots their goalies stop divided by the number of shots on goal they allow). Most people call this stat "puck luck". In the whole league, the percentage of shots that go in added with the percentage of shots that are saved add up to 100%, therefore, anything above a 100 is really good. While Levs PDO was good, it is still only in the top 28.6% of the league.
