Hi everyone! We've had some great things happen to us in S62, including making the finals yet again. Unfortunately, the finals were cancelled so no one won...
S62 Anchorage Armada MVP
This one was an easy one to award. Our team Captain, @High Stick King Spack Jarrow had 66 points in 66 games. 22 goals and 44 assists, which was enough to put him right at #6 on the assists in the league, but #1 in our hearts.
S62 Anchorage Armada Forward of the Year
Spack Jarrow (a forward) already won MVP, so a forward of the year will not be awarded.
S62 Anchorage Armada Defenseman of the Year
@"vulfgravy"
Cup Fuckin' Noodle wins for the second year in a row. He's got the most points out of active defensemen on the team with 48 points in 66 games, as well as the second highest +/- on the team. He was a key component in our success this past season.
S62 Anchorage Armada Goaltender of the Year
@Tha_Lux
Dom Tretyak ended up carrying the weight of the team on his shoulders a lot of the time, amassing 40 wins and a respectable 0.914 save percentage.
S62 Anchorage Armada Rookie of the Year
@Hardcastle
It was a close one between Dukemarriot and Hardcastle, since they had the same amount of points as defensemen, but Hardcastle was a +16 and seemed like a natural defenseman out there.
S62 Anchorage Armada Leadership Award
@High Stick King is once again the winner of this. His activity and leadership is second to none and we're all very lucky to call him our Captain.
S62 Anchorage Armada Mentorship Award
@Briedaqueduc will probably win this every season as long as he's on the team. He's the veteran presence that every locker room needs, and I am so happy that Stinky Gabe drafted him.
Now for the Captains:
I mean, it's gotta be obvious right?
CAPTAIN: @High Stick King is still our Captain and will be until he gets called up... then he'll probably be his SHL team's Captain too.
ALTERNATE: @"vulfgravy" Cup Noodle is just as active as HSK and a key piece in our locker room. He'll be a Captain in the SHL eventually too.
ALTERNATE: @Briedaqueduc Koivu is the other obvious choice. He wins the mentorship award every year and he's another key piece in our locker room.
