Scouting Report: This power forward was born Tijuana, Mexico; and stands six feet five inches, and weighs two hundred thirty pounds. The left winger has right handedness and scouts love a bunch of his traits on the ice. First, in the mental ratings, this guy has average determination, team player, leadership, temperament, and professionalism skills. Outside of that, his important attributes that scouts are loving are screening, getting open, puck handling, shooting accuracy and shoot range. These attributes are enough for him to stand out from the crowd of prospects entering the draft. He is not the best all the attributes, but the way he incorporates and blends all these attributes together allows him to be a strong hockey player. Scouts love when he uses his size to his advantage to play a physical and powerful game. He is able to win puck battles and keep the puck on him. His speed is okay, but scouts doubt it will develop into the best of this draft cohort. His physical nature, with high checking and hitting, makes the other team keep an eye on him when he steps on the ice. They constantly want to avoid taking a big check from this big left winger. His balance and strength are good too allowing him to absorb hits and stay on the puck. He stands to improve in a few areas such as stick checking, positioning, and shot blocking. These skills can be developed over the next few seasons in the SMJHL. He will get looks across the league as scouts are trying to find good fits. Scouts will want to see this player develop a little more aggression in his game. (280 words)

Tom Taylor’s Scouting Report: Born in Tokyo, Japan, Tom Taylor is left-handed, with a height of six feet and weight a total of 210-pounds is a skilled offensive-minded defenseman with lots of potential. We’ve noticed the standout ability of his shooting range and mixed that in with his shooting accuracy. We were impressed with Tom’s ability to put the puck in the back of the net, especially as a defenseman. Also, Tom's ability to get open on Ice helps with his scoring, and this is something we loved to see when watching him play. His offensive skills overall are suitable for his current level. We feel like he’ll be a difference-maker in his shift on the Ice. Tom’s physical skills are average, with much room to improve, especially with his speed. Some weakness we have seen in Tom’s game so far is primarily in his defensive abilities some of his weaknesses are with his checking, stick checking, and shot blocking. We also feel like he needs to be more aggressive, which would help him improve defensively and benefit him as he continues to play competitively. He should also work on his bravery as he is unwilling to take risks and try new ideas and options. Overall, we feel that Tom Taylor would be a great draft pick for any team that needs a defenseman or needs more offensive tools as he’ll be able to generate a lot of offence for them and will train and support. He could become great defensively too. ( 252 Words)

Din Djarin. Man that came from another planet. Showed up to this planet originally for a job and has returned for a vacation. First time on the planet he caught eyes of many scouts with his great vision and accuracy on the ice. Din stated he has played something similar to this where he comes from known as the planet Aq Vetina. He was decent when he played as a young child and has grown ever so much better with his Mandalorian training. Which is why his power, accuracy, and eye are his strong suits. He is known to find the opening on the ice. Squeezing past defenders at incredible speed and shots heard around the world with the power behind them. Din had no idea how good he was at hockey, but it seemed everyone knew what he was capable of. Din stands at five feet, eleven inches tall and weighs at a nice two-hundred and eleven pounds. Playing primarily left wing, and has outstanding numbers in his trainings. He believes he can put the league on notice while he spends a good chunk of time here vacationing, and who doesn't love some type of competition to hold them off. Din wants to make a name for himself in this sport and cement himself into the record books as one of the best to ever play the game. He knows he has a long way to achieve that goal, but having aspirations is always the start. Din is generally known as a trustworthy person if you're trustworthy and upfront with him, but if he finds out something from an outside source that has yet to come from his team leader.... he wll be sure to confront them and let them know how he feels and what he plans to do. Any team that needs an agile wing on their team will be overjoyed with the addition of Din Djarin.

This is the way.

M'Baku Olubori is a rare player. He has elite size and strength; built more like an NFL linebacker than a hockey forward, Olubori thrives in the physical game. He has a huge frame with long arms and powerful core that gives him natural ability as a disruptive defensive player. A multi-sport athlete growing up, his time playing basketball, American football, and soccer, comes across in his general athleticism. He has impressive top speed and is hard to move off his skates. The scariest part might be that he probably can add another 10-15 pound of muscle to his 6-4, 230 pound frame. At 18 years old, Olubori is a gym hound, always working to get stronger. You’d expect nothing less from another Johnny Hamilton client; the man loves insanely hard workers.

He has shown limited offensive upside due to an inconsistent skating stride and lackluster offensive instincts. He will never be an elite passer, but his physical tools leave scouts drooling. It’s important to acknowledge he’s really only gotten about a half season of serious coaching in hockey due to a very limited development system in his home country of Nigeria. He has a moderately hard shot that’s moderately accurate, but it’s not an elite skill.

Olubori loves the physical game, always looking for opportunities to hit the opposite and force turnovers. Given time, you can see Olubori’s upside as a top six forward, likely the third best option on his line. His physical style if honed correctly could create a lot of space for smaller, skilled players to create in the offensive zone. Going into his rookie season in the SMJHL, Olubori can be a solid bottom six forward that forechecks hard and causes turnovers with his aggressive style. The amount of special teams time he can handle likely will be team and scheme dependent, especially if he continues to take ill advised penalties.

For comparison, Olubori could grow into a player somewhere between the Tom Wilson or Boone Jenner mold; a strong forward that can score goals and create space for his teammates while killing penalties and living in front of the goalie on the power play.

Born in Finland, DAD ate hockey every single day of his childhood and grew up with a solid family hockey. His dad coached him from his very first novice team : The Ants. DAD was a pretty big baby, with 11 pounds as a birth weight. His growth was always ahead of every other boy of his age. He has an incredible natural strength even if he did not really physically train himself in his entire life. He was made to be a power forward. His father taught him how to act like a big man on the ice due to his physical abilities, but also how to defend his teammates and having an offensive contribution. He's not scared to go around the corners and make space for his teammates and getting hit by the opposite big mans. DAD's not the type of guy who scores the pretty goals, but his combativeness helps him to contribute more than we can imagine. He can easily protect the puck while skating at high speed in the opposing territory due to his great puck handling skill. Every player has his/her own weaknesses. Not that DAD's not good in his territory, but his defensive abilities are not the most developped. His physical abilities help him to fulfill it. Nobody scares him and he will never hesitate to confront anyone who will try to hurt his teammates. DAD watched a lot of Josh Anderson and Joel Armia's hockey games while growing up. As a Columbus Blue Jackets hockey fan and as a Finnish, he wants to play like Anderson and Armia and bring the same energy in the locker room and on the ice.

Isabella Bouchard is a Draft Eligible Rookie in the coming S63 Super Major Junior Hockey League Rookie Draft! The 22 year old is coming off of a rather disappointing NCAA season where she lost the starting job to upstart rookie phenom Donna Rumma. Despite that, Bouchard remains the top goalkeeping prospect in a rather shallow pool of goalkeepers this year.

The Canadian is known primarily for being a reliable shot-stopper, able to get a piece of most shots, and rarely being beaten while unobstructed. She makes the most of her 5’7 frame, but her lack of speed could be a concerning factor for teams. What she lacks in pace, she makes up for in intelligence. Having graduated at the top of her Engineering class at Simon Fraser University (in British Columbia, Canada), Bouchard knows a thing or two about angles.

A scout watching her for a minute may think that she lacks explosiveness, and her lack of speed makes her unfit for the position at the highest levels. However, a scout watching her over the course of an hour will notice that she often nullifies the need for explosive action by being in position before the shot is even taken. They will notice how she angles her pads as she makes a save, or how she cushions her blocker to just guide the puck up and over. They would notice that she rarely allows the same goal twice, and even more rarely on consecutive shots. And they would notice that while her lack of pace is true, her lack of explosiveness is deceptive. Make no mistakes, Bouchard can get there. She just often doesn’t need to, because she’s already there.

This girl has ice in her veins. Should be noticed quite early in this coming draft

Sophie Bordeleau might be undersized, but she has the potential to become a top offensive dynamo in the league. The 5'8", 155 lb centre has impressed scouts with her hockey IQ first and foremost, with the ability to make space and get open. The scouting profile on Bordeleau cites her vision of the ice, particularly when on the power play, and she's shown the ability to make some excellent plays with teammates. With regards to her skating ability, she doesn't boast lightning speed but has a great first step to build separation from opponents and the edgework to make some slick moves with and without the puck on her stick. Bordeleau's best asset is her wicked shot, which she can get off well from anywhere in the offensive zone if given space. While it isn't an absolute rocket, it's deceptively quick and can fool goalies. Defensively, her biggest issue is the lack of size, but she has shown a great stick in her time with her high school team and the cup of coffee in the SMJHL and should be able to make some smart defensive plays and help a team's transition game from defense to offense and getting rushes with strength off. Perhaps Bordeleau's greatest strength, however, is off the ice. Those who have known her on her hockey teams and in her community cite her as a mature and humble young woman, and she's always been one to boost up her teammates over herself. She will undoubtedly be a sought-after asset in the upcoming SMJHL entry draft for any team looking to bolster their offense.
