the Quebec City Citadelles decided to freeze one of Superb Owl feather right at the face off center in the middle of the ice. This was meant to bring good luck to the team. Surprisingly, something the crew did not expect was that the feather absorbed the red paint, and it's now a red feather.

This season, the New Orleans Specters froze a goalie mask from longtime Specter legend and future Hall of Famer, Aleister Cain. The hope was that it would bring good luck to the team, which it did. For the most part.

The Argonauts decided to freeze a model trireme ship affixed with a single googly eye underneath the ice at Climate Pledge Arena. This is a reference to the fact that the boat in the logo has an eye, which I am still questioned about to this day.

San Francisco embraced their inner child and froze an original VHS copy of The Lion King under the ice, as well as a some hair from the mane of the alpha lion from the San Francisco zoo.

Before the season, the Seattle Argonauts froze a bunch of DnD minis representing dear dead PCs from some of our campaigns so their souls would forever watch upon us

The Los Angeles Panthers didn't actually store anything under the ice. Slip McScruff stored a ham steak under the ice without telling anyone. When the season ended and they melted down the ice to make sno cones for family day, they unfortunately found the ham water had infested the entire supply. That's fine though because we all just mixed it with pineapple and called it an icy lūʻau party. Ham water for everyone.

Being based in New Orleans, the Specters have always been well aware of their 'French connection'. At the start of the season they placed a fleur de lis at center ice. It wasn't taken out after the Specters loss in the playoffs, it will be kept in there until they win their next Challenge Cup.
