In this deep dive I will be going over the players on SMJHL's newest finals qualifier, Quebec. We will also touch on the playoffs that have led them to this moment. Starting with my own player, Fdam Aoote is fresh meat on the Quebec Citadelles. Having only played a total of 26 games with them, he has already established himself to be a net positive rookie who has shown signs of promise on the defensive end as a crease clearer. With an average ice time of 20 minutes and totaling 2 goals, 6 assists, 27 blocks and 40 hits, his plus/minus of 6 has manage to keep his opponents honest while the top lines get their rest.

Quebec has had numerous strong players step up this season. if Fdam may be part of the next generation, these next players are very much showing us why QCC has made it to the finals. Leading our team in points is the illustrious Rylie Versi. Versi is having himself one hell of a sophomore campaign, with 25 goals, 41 assists and a plus/minus of 25. He plays smart and is rarely in the penalty box, allowing his game to do the talking. Following Versi are two amazing players. Our junior center Bodhi Utah and right winger Aksel Fiske, both sharing 61 points on the season. Utah is a true two-way center, grinding himself out a very solid season with plenty of plays on the offensive and defensive end. Fiske is a much more finesse oriented wing, allowing his superior puck skills to find gaps in the opponents defense and exploit it.

Heading the second line is a player who has been the heart of our locker room. Sophie Bordeleau is fourth on the team in points and is a pure, unadulterated assists machine. Her selflessness has led QCC to numerous wins; and her linemates thank her for her generosity both on the ice and off. Last but certainly not least is my defensive line mate, Tres Sombreros II. His previous player was actually one hell of a offensive player while my recreate Nor Dekes was on the team; and his current player is really tearing it up as a defender. Despite his best work coming in from the defensive end; Sombreros has 37 points to his name and is not somebody to be ignored on the offensive end. Thanks to his leadership, the Sombreros/Aoote line has a combined +33 on the ice. Not bad for a sophomore and freshman!

QCC started out this playoffs with low expectations. Drawing a loss right out of the gate in the first round, we evened up the series at one apiece with some phenominal performances out of Petra Sabor, Bodhi Utah, Alex Kidd and our outstanding netminder Justin Time. From there after another loss, we won three straight to send NBB packing as we move on to face Detroit in the semis. While expectations may have been low through half of the NBB series; we did not mince words as we swept Detroit in four to make our way to the playoffs. Most notable in that series was an absolutely stunning performance by Louise St. Martin in game 4, with a game rating of 79. Wowza.

QCC will be going into this finals just happy to be here, however with how well we have played this playoffs, going into the finals with a 7 game win streak... who knows. Anything is possible.
