Deep Dive #1

Analyzing my own trade tree

So I have been traded twice in my career( as in Luke thomason)

So I am going to track the trade trees of both trades to see where it is at.

So the first trade came in Season 45, with this trade

Manhattan Receives
    Luke Thomason

San Francisco Receives
  MAN S49 1st[Traded to TEX], MAN S48 1st[Timmo Kyllonen]

So going from this, lets go on the San Francisco portion of the trade tree

So lets start with the MAN S49 1st that was traded

San Francisco Receives
MIN S49 1st[ Bo Kane], TEX S51 2nd[Traded to TEX]

Texas Receives
    MAN S49 1st[Noah Brusky]

So lets take a look at the TEX S51 2nd so we can see where it ended up
San Francisco Receives
    Daniel Karlsson*$2.5m retained

Texas Receives
Heat Siecker, TEX S51 2nd[Traded to HAM]

So that thread is tied up because Karlsson ended with San Francisco.

So to recap so far

MAN Recieves
  Luke Thomason

SFP receives
MIN S49 1st[Bo Kane], MAN S48 1st[Timmo Kyllonen], Daniel Karlsson

So from this, Timmo Kyllonen (sad lemonade) never made the SHL, as he went inactive pretty quickly. And since Daniel Karlsson wasnt traded either, the final part of the trade is Bo Kane, who did not get traded, but left in free agency. So that ends the tree of SFP.

Daniel Karlson: 36 GP, 24 P
Bo Kane: 150 GP, 80 P , left in S55
TImmo Kyllonen: never reached SHL

So lets take a look at the Thomason trade tree,

Thomason played on Manhattan for 13 seasons, racking up 654P in 682 GP, with also winning a challenge cup in S52. He then got traded in S60 for the following

MAN Recieves
SEA S61 2nd[Archangelo Scaradog Jr.], TBB S62 2nd[Vin Bangsa-Wamy], WPG S62 2nd[Vasily Arkhangelsky]

TBB Recieves
Luke Thomason

Thomason played for 1 season with Tampa, before leaving in free agency.

With the 3 2nds, Manhattan Received their co-gm in Citizen of Adraa’s recreate, an inactive, and another inactive. So nothing too much there

So what did everyone end up with, lets take a look

Manhattan Received

Luke Thomason for 13 seasons, massive big boy player for them
Archangelo Scaradog Jr
2 inactives

San Francisco Receives
Daniel Karlson: 36 GP, 24 P
Bo Kane: 150 GP, 80 P , left in S55
TImmo Kyllonen: never reached SHL

So in the end who won the trade? Probably Manhattan. Since Bo Kane walked in Free Agency they didnt get anything in return, and since Daniel Karlson didnt help them win a cup, they probably didnt get too much value out of that. And Since Kyllonen went inactive as well it goes for that too.

So not the biggest trade tree, and probably not the most interesting one as well.

Texas did pretty well though,

Getting Noah Brusky and then Heat Siecker and the TEX 2nd turned into another trade tree that is pretty long but not that eventuall to talk about
