Nikolai Skovgaard had no idea what to expect coming into Quebec City for the first time. The big defenseman was drafted 26th overall by the Citadelles, and was excited to be there. His agent promised him he would love the team, and his chats with the general managers of the team were wonderful. Nikolai isn't one to get nervous over things like this, at least that's what he thought. All of the hockey arenas in his home country of Denmark were nothing compared to the massive Videotron Centre that the Citadelles called home. The hallways leading to the locker room seemed to stretch out endlessly. He heard some chatter as he rounded the corner into the locker room he would be calling home for the next few seasons, and he was welcomed with thunderous applause into the room by the rest of team who had beat him to the meeting today. The Citadelles are shaping up to be a great team, and this first impression helped assure Nikolai that this would be a great time for him in Quebec.

He is now a Saint Louis Scarecrow and is well on his way to being drafted into the Simulation Hockey League after getting picked 5th overall by the Scarecrows in the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League draft just a few days ago. Tommi is joining his brother WidePeepoHappy3 and they will take the helm as the big boy defensive partnership for the Scarecrows going into this season. Tommi is hoping to be a shutdown defensive stalwart, and his teammates are very excited that he has been drafted to the team. They all jump and scream and emote at him and they all have so much good fun in the Scarecrows locker room.They are so excited to spend time together and we are all so excited to watch this silly team play some fun games together on the big boy ice.

His nerves began to spike. Did they already dislike him as the new guy? Was this just some form of hazing? He began to unpack his gear from his bag into his stall, trying to shake his own self doubts. Finally, he hears one of the members of the team call his name out. He turns around to find all of them grinning, before immediately cheering out while showering him in water. Eriksen's nerves immediately faded in the electric atmosphere. He was ready to give it all for this team, and couldn't wait for the opportunity to do so.

With six players getting their name called out by the St. Louis Scarecrows during the S65 SMJHL draft, it was quite a welcoming that the latest batch of Scarecrow rookies received.  One of these rookies had already been in the St. Louis locker room before, Bavel Pure had been invited into the locker room when he was much younger.  Being a family friend of Lyle Odelein III, St. Louis Scarecrow alumni, Lyle has taken the young forward under his wing, so to say.  Bavel's interest in hockey lead to Lyle asking him if he would like to tour the facilities of his junior hockey club.  Bavel jumped at the opportunity and it blew him away when he walked in the historic room.  This time was no different, the newly drafted Pure was speechless when he stepped into the Crows dressing room.  The moment didn't last long, the current Scarecrow players welcomed all of the rookies immediately, making them an instant part of the team.  After the rookies found their dressing stalls, they got dressed and took to the ice for a casual skate with the team.  None of these rookies will forget this moment.
