414 TPE Center records a 4 point game

Leon Schweingruber just had a night he would have thought was impossible. After a 6 year "break" from hockey, the two-way center was named the third star in Texas' 6-2 victory over the Toronto North Stars. Schweingruber recorded a point on 4/6 goals, and was on the ice for 5/6. This provides a massive bright spot on what started as a tough season. Playing in the SHL as a rookie is incredibly difficult in itself. After 6 years of no hockey? Schweingruber just solidified himself as an inspirational figure. He had absolutely struggled in the first half of this season, recording an abysmal 3 points in 29 games. General Manager Makoto Nagano took note of this, and opted to move Schweingruber to the wing. That's when he started playing the best hockey of his career. 12 points in 15 games. For a rookie. For a player who hadn't played in 6 years. I don't believe the SHL has seen anything like this.

But you gotta put credit where credit is due. This change would not have been possible if not for Bobby Sharp. (@Nerio) The Buffalo Stampede legend has been bouncing from team to team as his career nears its end. This season, he found himself in Texas, on a line with Schweingruber. Sharp has played center for most of his career, but he started playing wing to keep up with the aging process. However, he recently found the time to practice faceoffs again, and notified the general manager that he could play center. He'd certainly prefer playing wing, but thought it might be better for the team's success. A true team player at heart. Also a genius, because he was entirely correct about it being better for the team. Without this switch, we may not have this tale.

Leon Schweingruber returned from the wilderness to play a season in the SHL. A daunting task, which needed inspiration. He wanted to make his son Noah, and his wife Sandra, proud. Which he has certainly accomplished. Schweingruber can now be an inspirational figure to other players in the league. No matter your skill level, no matter your experience, you can make an impact in the SHL.

After 69 shots on net with still no SHL goals to show for it, even the opposition started to feel so sorry for Lemo, that they decided to help him out :D
- Bad pass by Jack Klompus, he gave it right to Lemo Pihl.
- Lemo Pihl rips it to the net...
- Lemo Pihl will find the empty net, that should do it!
