The Simulation Hockey League's newest first family, the Koivus, are taking over the league one by one. We are now up to 6 Koivus, enough for an entire first line, D pair, and one of them can play Goalie I think. Lets take a look at the Koivu boys and see how they are making out.

Paul Koivu, New England Wolfpack forward.
The most advanced in league Koivu, Paul, made a big splash this year in his rookie season for New England. Paul put up a 38 point season, with 15 goals and 23 assists. Not too shabby when being on one of the rebuilding teams in the league. Paul has been known for his playmaking and setting his teammates up for chances, so him adding a pretty prolific scoring profile to his game is a surprise, especially so early in his career. Paul was drafted by Manhattan and moved two seasons ago, and with New England's general manager being known to create great teams, we would not be surprised to see him lift the challenge cup some day.'

Jolmi Koivu, Colorado Raptors/Calgary Dragons
Now we have what may be the most exciting player in the Koivu clan, if not the most exciting player in the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. Jolmi suits up for the Colorado Raptors every night, goes out there, and puts on a show. Jolmi put up 60 points this season, with a 23 goal 37 assist split. This kid is something special, and scouts are flocking from all around to watch him. He profiles to be a similar player at the next level, and we are excited to see him move on up.

Binko Koivu, Colorado Raptors/Atlanta Inferno
The other half of the Koivu brothers on Colorado comes in the form of Binko. Binko is a defenseman, but still managed to put up 50 points from the blue line this season! With an 8/42 split on goals and assists, he was insanely prolific for the Raptors especially coming from the defensive position. He also sported a 2/1 TA/GA ratio, which has him in my mind as the best defensive prospect currently in the Simulation Hockey League system. If his nose for the puck, and his ability to move the puck can translate at the next level, we may be looking at a future Scott Stevens winner year in and year out.
Widepeepohappy3 Koivu, St. Louis Scarecrows/Hamilton Steelhawks
WPH3, as his brothers call him, is no slouch from the blue line either. He put up an impressive 41 points in his sophomore season, and laid an impressive 124 hits on opposing players this season. WPH3 profiles to be a pure defensive defenseman, and he made that clear this season. His point total is reflective of many long stretch passes to his forwards form picking off the puck if its anywere near him. He is going to be a force at the next level for sure. Look for him to make his debut for the steelhawks soon, as many think he is already Simulation Hockey Leauge material.
