In Edmonton town there were wagons,
Which, full of dead pigs and wine flagons,
though sent east as tribute,
despite their guards' repute,
were eaten as lunch by some Dragons.

Toronto felt much consternation,

For to Ottawa fair,
there had come no fair share;
Those oilers evaded taxation!

The government sent them a letter,
strong wording avail'd them no better.
All the mailmen too,
did become Dragon poo,
Or freeze in the Blizzard's bad weather.

In northern Alberta they wonder
Why they suffer this federal blunder.
To this day it is said,
that they'll soon all be dead,
For they still do not know,
nor bookkeeper show,
Their taxes Calgarian plunder!
