It is once again time for the seasonal IIHF Tournament where players from all around the SHL and SMJHL gear up and don their Federation jerseys to play for a chance to earn a medal for their Federation. Last season saw a couple of changes to the overall tournament which we are only building on this season!

First of all, the S66 Tournament will be hosted in Winnipeg, Canada! Winnipeg has been part of the SHL since its inauguration and will host its first IIHF tournament.

The tournament is planned to start off with its pre-season on August 25th, but it the pre-season will be held off-stream. Instead the first stream will occur on August 27th, after the definite completion of the SHL Final, with the beginning of the Round Robin. Box scores of the pre-season games can be found on the SHL Index after being played, because this will be the first tournament run on FHM8 for the IIHF.

There are also some other aspects we are continuing on from last season.

IIHF Fantasy
@Chevy will once again host the IIHF Fantasy and you can find that post HERE.

Double IIHF Graphics and Media
The media and graphics department will announce a double media and graphics week for the period August 29 to September 4. This means that any media or graphic pertaining to the IIHF will be eligible for a double payout. Remember to clearly mark the submission with the IIHF Double for clarity. Both departments will have a more detailed announcement later containing the exact rules for the submissions.
