Being one of the two newest teams of the junior league, the Elks  don't have the best playoff record nor a rich and long history like other junior teams can have, but with S66 being their best season since their start and being able to win a playoff round for the first time of their young history, let's look back in the past and see the road they took to be where they are now.

Being their first season, no one saw the Elks being one of the top teams of S61 and they were right. While they managed to go to playoffs they were part of the cave of the league with only 45 points, 13 points behind the next team, and they got swept in 4 by then #7 Kelowna.

Their second season was the worse so far, ending with 39 points and missing the playoffs, just behin St Louis. There's not a lot to say about that season except maybe mentionning the great fighting record of Clifford Wilson with 9 fight won and 2 lost.

For their third season, S63, they were still last of their division but ended in the middle of the league, finishing 8th with 71 points in 66 games, their first season over .500, but even with a better season and, for the first time, a player with 60 points, their time in playoffs were as fast as their first time, being swept in 4 by Anaheim and being shutdown to only 3 little goals.

Their fourth season was their first to end with a positive goal differential. They ended one spot higher than last season, finishing 7th with 72 points and first in their division, good for a fast ticket to the 2nd round. With Jaeger Jones just short of a point per game and 3 players with at least 20 goals during the season, they were able to finally win their first playoffs game but couldn't get the 4th one and lost in 7 against Detroit.

With some of their best players being called up to the SHL, Regina's fifth season was a step back from the last 2 seasons, ending with 65 points, good for 9th in the league. But, this time, they were facing a team closer to them, the 8th Yukon Malamute. The playoff serie was a really close one again but Yukon won the 7th game in a close 2-1 game.

For their 6th season, Regina got their best season since their debut, ending 6th with a total of  77 points. They also managed a couple of team bests, like a goal differential of +56, five diferents players with more than  20 goals and for the first time, a player with more than a point per game! They faced Great Falls in the first round of the playoffs and were finally able to win their first playoff serie. The 2nd round didn't ended the same way and they lost in 6 against a strong Quebec team, who are curently playing in the cup finals.

Like I've said at the start, Regina's history isn'T the best one out there but with what we saw this season with a very young defensive core, and planing to only lose one aging player during the offseason, we can say that their future will most probably be a bright one.
