After a few audio technical difficulties, the hosts confidently got the show rolling.  The outstanding, and hopefully award winning, production was exciting from beginning to end.  trashae and RAmenAmen really know how to keep an audience entertained.  I look forward to more of their  witty repartee and entertaining banter.  of course I have to assume this based on only being able to hear one of them

After what seemed to be the quickest nine minutes that I have ever witnessed passed the show got started!  To no ones surprise Nevada took home 3 of 4 of the team awards with their stellar showing during the season and playoffs.  Of course some of the individual awards were also awarded unsurprisingly based on them being stat leaders with a tie between Iskandrov and Kobliska each with 88 points.  Moxii claimed the Martucci Trophy with his 48 goals and the Tandem of Suckle and Cheese with an impressive .904 save percentage took home the Lewis-Flood trophy.

Yada yada yada...and Iskandrov takes home the coveted Lindsay MVP AND the Fallah MVP trophies.  Congrats to all of our nominees and winners.

I could not grade #4 as it is both linked to #5 and does not constitute a valid PT claim. A valid PT claim would be claimed by linking to a post from this thread. You can claim this again in another post. If you have any questions about this, feel free to message me! - Frenchie

Task 7 : S66 – Finals Game 4 (link to come, work computer firewall)

The match started off strong, with both the Nevada Battelborn and the Quebec City Citadels getting good chances in front of the crease. Both goalies had other plans with Justin Time (NBB) and Valérien Sa (QCC) shutting any offense down with electric saves to keep the score even. With 7 minutes to go in the first perid, Nevada was awarded a power play after a minor penalty call against QCC’s Tommy Thompson for Cross-Checking. Sa held the fort and both teams headed into the second period on level ground.

The second period started of strong, with Chad Nickelback giving the Battleborn its first lead of the match with a booming shot, assists from Foxy and O’Slaphan at 1:51. Quebec would hang in the game and keep pressuring Time’s net with a flurry of shots that would eventually get the better of the netminder who had been brilliant up until Sophie Bordeleau’s shot found twine. Once again, both teams headed into the lockers rooms even stevens.

The 3rd period saw a lot of battle, with Nevada looking poised to complete the sweep and Quebec looking to fight another day and force a game 5 in Nevada. Shots were plenty, saves were incredible and the game was headed to overtime.

Nerves were high and both teams refused to let go of even an inch of ice, fore-checks being effective and back checks just as much. It took Nevada 13 minutes to solve the riddle that had been Sa for the whole game. Paul Peterson’s heroics came in the 13th minute of OT as Laraque and King’s setup allowed him to settle it in OT for the 4-0 sweep championship!

On October 14th, hockey night in the SMJHL opened with a bloodbath between the Regina Elk and Colorado Raptors. With 19800 people in attendance at the InGEN Center in Colorado, the teams appeared ready to put on a show for the crowd. In fact, only one team was ready...

The Elk came out firing to start the first and got their second shot of the game past Shuckle, courtesy of Kezia MacKenzie. Three and a half minutes later Don Juan finished off a tick tack toe play and the Elk led 2-0. Boos from the Raptors faithful echoed throughout the arena. After a Colorado timeout, things settled down briefly before the Elk took a commanding 3-0 lead after some intense forechecking by the 3rd line led to a turnover and subsequent one timer by Erick Vasiljevs. It was just one of those nights for the Raptors. The teams traded goals before entering the first intermission with the Elk up 4-1.

Colorado switched netminders over the break as Navolsky relieved Shuckle of his duties. Despite this, the second period was near identical. Captain DAD, who scored the 4th goal of the game, added ANOTHER tally while killing a penalty to put the Elk up 5-1. M'Baku Olubori and Brendan Laroux each scored as well and while Colorado's Casper Nilsson scored late in the frame this game was already out of reach. 7-2 Elk.

Only 5000 or so people were in the stands by the time the puck dropped in the third period, with roughly 2/3rds of them donning the Elk's Purple and Gold. For those that stuck around, there was still more action in store. Ralph Ryan connected on a nice feed from Angry Gilmore on the powerplay, and shortly thereafter Kezia MacKenzie scored their second of the game to put the score at 9-2. The game continued on without a whistle for the majority of the period before Angry Gilmore got called for high sticking. As Colorado went on the powerplay it was finally the Elk goalie's time to shine; Alexis Texas made 4 stops on the penalty kill including a nice glove save on a shot from the point. As the Elk switched lines following the successful kill, it was none other than Kezia MacKenzie who hopped on the ice, received the pass from DAD and buried it past Navolsky for the hat trick. 3500 purple hats and toques littered the ice, resulting in a 3 minute delay as the fans celebrated and the arena staff cleaned up the ice surface. To cap the game off, the dejected Raptors weren't thrilled when Angry Gilmore scored in the final minute, with Hynek Heidinger taking out his frustrations by tripping Gilmore as time expired. The Elk left the ice to the sounds of cheers while the Raptors went home wondering what went wrong.

FINAL SCORE: Regina 11, Colorado 2

Task 7: Stream Review
Sept 23: NL games
Our first game of the night started off with a bang, a quick goal put NL up early, but it was quickly taken back by CAR.  Next was an amazing thing to see, I SCORED! We then proceeded to take way too many penalties it was tough to watch.  Luckily we ended scoring two SHG, giving us a lead.  Finally getting a PP of our own we gave a SHG right back.  Up by one in the final minute, some key shot blocks led ME to put one in the empty net.  A WIN!
Second game went off to an amazing start, going up 3-0 in the 1st.  Hoping this would give us a two win night, locker room was quite happy. Unfortunately some terrible refereeing gave DET way too many PP, and they used that to their advantage to have an amazing comeback.  Katy Perry was playing, I am sure that did not help.
