The S67 regular season is fast approaching and with a new season comes change for every team. One of the biggest changes for Edmonton this season is Captaincy. After a season finishing last in the league in S66, we're looking to take the next step in a big way this season. We would like to thank S66 Assistant Captain Julio Tokolosh for their contributions and we want to wish long standing Captain Kyle Sutton a great retirement and thank him for his dedication and service to the organization over the years. Our Captains are decided via a team wide vote. These players are great voices in the locker room and have the tools necessary to lead this team towards the future. Without further ado, let's talk about our C and A's.

CAPTAIN

Justin Time (@RAmenAmen)

The regular season hasn't begun and Time is already setting records in Edmonton, becoming the first goalie to wear the C in franchise history. Anyone that has spent just 5 minutes with Justin will tell you that even as an SHL rookie, he is the real deal. Time is an elite goaltender sitting in the top 5 in SMJHL wins. He was the backbone to Quebec's fast rebuild, reaching the playoffs in all 4 seasons and 2 SMJHL finals appearances. Take it from someone who was there, Justin was the calm, cool, and extremely well collected voice we all needed to play at our best those years. His work ethic inspires everyone around him, he treats his teammates like family, and he plays with a passion that's unmatched. Time is the perfect candidate to lead Edmonton to the next level.

ASSISTANTS

Brian Davenport (@Vandy)

Another Quebec alumni, with the A on his sweater again this season. Davenport is a great veteran presence to the young locker room in Edmonton and will help keep the team on the right track. Davenport knows what it takes to go far in this league, with the pedigree to back it up. Brian has five SHL playoff appearances, four SMJHL playoff appearances, and a Four Star Cup under his belt. You don't get many chances to learn from someone with that kind of experience. Davenport is the perfect candidate to help Time lead this team, we couldn't be more proud of him for what he has accomplished and to have him be a part of the leadership team in Edmonton is a huge honor.

Bás O'Bigbers (@Sopath)

O'Bigbers is another veteran voice in the room. In his seven seasons in the SHL, O'Bigbers has filled the scoresheet. Finishing top ten on his teams in points his entire career as well as being the top point getter for three years in Winnipeg and Edmonton in S66 as well. He's pure talent that can still challenge the best for the MVP title with a valuable skill set that others can look up to and learn from. He's also been a huge fan of Edmonton for a while, we just want him to know that we are huge fans of him too and are extremely excited to give him an A for his last year.

These players were chosen by their teammates in Edmonton. Three players with immense talent and knowledge. This leadership group will be the one to help us take that next step. We're a confident group with a lot to prove, and we have the perfect players to lead us there.

Rookie goalie captain, no pressure

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”
